A lush thicket filled with brambles.
In the faint mist, a strange eyeball erged. Its diater was about two centiters, roughly the size of a small apple, belonging to a semi-real micro-sized chanical body. This eyeball flew ten ters above the ground, and as if sensing sothing, quickly hid within the dense black treetops when a three-eyed crow swooped across the sky.
About a hundred ters away from this Demon Eye, there was another equally concealed Demon Eye, except it didn’t fly around. Instead, it stayed hidden on the twisted trunk of a large tree, monitoring everything nearby with a 360-degree view.
"Isn’t this just a miniature reconnaissance drone?"
Shawn’s figure was on the outskirts of the Black Forest, surrounded by thirteen semi-real Demon Eyes within approximately sixteen hundred ters. They all had a 360-degree field of view, scanning an area of roughly forty to fifty ters, capable of gathering intelligence from all around when dispersed. These Demon Eyes were extrely concealed, possessing close to ten-level Wanderer stealth and reconnaissance abilities. Silent in flight, they offered perfect maneuverability, even outperforming the most advanced drones in terms of specifications.
"Could the modern warfare reconnaissance and strike integrated combat plan be realized?"
Shawn pondered for a mont, realizing he could only conduct reconnaissance at present, lacking the ability for integrated reconnaissance and strike. He thought to himself, "But with these reconnaissance Demon Eyes, I can implent over-the-horizon combat plans in the future."
Now, the entire outskirts of the Black Forest had been thoroughly explored by him.
These reconnaissance Demon Eyes could last for ten hours, requiring no recharge during this ti. Shawn could resonate these Demon Eyes with spiritual energy, the process akin to watching surveillance footage. If he retrieved these Demon Eyes, everything they saw could then be directly transmitted to his brain, reproduced by mysterious knowledge, allowing him to quickly skim through an hour’s worth of recorded footage in roughly six seconds.
In other words, Shawn could review all the intelligence gathered by the reconnaissance Demon Eyes within ten hours in just one minute.
This possesses the fundantal elents of modern information warfare.
"Shall I test my abilities in modern warfare?"
"See how much my power has increased?"
Shawn quickly ran through scenarios in his mind, making a swift decision, he quickly stored his curios, simultaneously converting the collected berries into Divine Berries.
The peripheral area of the Black Forest.
This ti, Shawn entered the eerie, deep forest without casting the Invisibility Spell because he had already retrieved all thirteen reconnaissance Demon Eyes, distributing them around the forest at intervals of every hundred ters.
Shawn, at the mont, was essentially using a god’s-eye view, no longer needing invisibility to mask his tracks.
"The reconnaissance Demon Eyes still have six hours of duration remaining, which is completely sufficient."
Shawn began further exploration of the entire Black Forest area. His current viewing range was approximately sixteen hundred ters, more exaggerated than possessing a perspective cheat. After advancing several kiloters within the Black Forest, he quickly discovered traces of the enemy.
"Linear distance is roughly one kiloter, there are five enemies, all are deford crow humanoids."
Three concealed reconnaissance Demon Eyes were dispatched.
Under full surveillance, the enemies’ every move couldn’t escape Shawn’s gaze. They appeared to be a hunting squad of the crow humanoid race. The nearby wilderness showed no signs of cultivation, suggesting their daily supplies were mostly gathered and hunted, limiting their tribe’s size. However, due to nomadic hunting, their combat capabilities were strong, equivalent to an ordinary Night Watcher. One crow humanoid warrior’s strength was roughly equal to William from Dorne City’s Night Watch team.
Among these creatures, there was a caster, likely following the Warlock path, whose overall strength was about six and a half tis William’s, roughly equivalent to Daisy.
"Disperse other Demon Eyes for reconnaissance!"
Shawn’s figure quietly moved closer, as simulation of modern warfare, intelligence was the absolute first elent. He needed to ensure there were no other enemies nearby supporting or interfering with his upcoming actions.
By a burning campfire.
Five bizarre crow humanoids were eating, they were vassal race of the Owls, with peculiar crow heads, mouths filled with fine sharp teeth, bodies covered in feathers. Feathers are weak against fire, just right for testing the mage’s signature Fireball Technique obtained a few days ago from the Night Witch’s Dinsional Bag.
The crow humanoids’ diet was quite complex; they were omnivores. In a large pot, mushrooms, insects, jerky, and other ingredients were being cooked. On a nearby fire rack, a marinated tail was being roasted, seemingly a lizardman’s tail.
Next to the campfire was their harvest, strange azure fruits, captured large bugs, hunted mutated antelopes, and even half of a lizardman’s corpse.
The forest terrain offered more diverse species, their lives were sowhat better than the lizardn, occasionally able to catch lizardman hunters crossing boundaries for a aty treat.
Shawn quietly moved to within about two hundred ters.
He first buffed himself with a Flying Skill, then added the Invisibility Technique, becoming an entirely invisible flying organism. As he wasn’t on the Wandering path, approaching too close might allow the enemy to detect him; crow humanoids had keen hearing.
