Dawn.
Shawn awoke from ditation, his Primitive Magic Power and Spiritual Energy Pool were almost fully recovered.
However, today he wasn’t in a rush to venture out, because no matter how eager he was to grow by adventuring, it was impossible to complete Aemon’s trial by combat. With Shawn’s current strength, even if he learned a few more spells, it was unlikely he could defeat a Legendary Level Lizardman Leader; the gap between them was simply too vast.
In terms from the martial arts novels of his past life on Earth, Aemon’s trial was equivalent to sending a fledgling to duel an established Martial Arts Master, with the master having his own forces, including a large group of second or third-tier practitioners whose skills surpassed him. It’s basically like sending Yang Guo, who has just achieved a basic level of martial arts, to single-handedly challenge the entire Quanzhen Sect and eliminate its Sect Leader, a difficulty completely beyond Shawn’s capability.
The only chance to complete the task is if Shawn learns ’Unparalleled Martial Arts’ during this period, at least acquiring one lethal move from it.
Inside the Eye Demon Cave.
Shawn opened his Magic Notebook and began recording a new day.
"The Legendary Level Lizardman Leader, it likely possesses either Perfect Physique or Legendary Robustness, the opponent’s physical stats are extrely formidable, most of my Control Spells are ineffective against it, and curse or disease-type spells probably wouldn’t even pass its immunity check."
"Firearms might cause so damage, but their effectiveness is expected to be quite limited."
"Jason Tangel is a High Tier Barbarian and close to a Legendary Level Transcendent; he basically ignores conventional firearm attacks because his Life Force is incredibly strong. Normal firearms can’t inflict serious injury, at most only slight damage."
"The opponent is most likely a Legendary Powerhouse of the Warrior Path, possibly with cross-path abilities fused from other professions."
"But no matter the type, the gap in strength between and the enemy is too significant."
Shawn poured himself a glass of water; breakfast was dried at he had brought from Abyss City. Aemon hadn’t prepared much food for him, and preparing these was a basic adventurer’s practice.
A bit tough.
Shawn chewed the dried at forcefully, continuing his analysis with his pen.
"How to kill a Legendary Powerhouse?"
"I am ten Extraordinary Levels behind it; the enemy’s Extraordinary Level is twice mine. But the true strength gap is at least fivefold; if we were to fight directly, I’d survive only a round or two, and even that requires including the ability of Death Retrospect."
"The enemy possesses extrely formidable Life Force, astonishing lee explosive power, and highly extensive survival combat experience."
"I’m basically comprehensively suppressed by it."
Shawn’s expression was calm as he silently recorded his analysis because he had already thought of a slim chance of defeating the enemy.
"I only have one opportunity to strike."
"If I want to kill the enemy, it must be an absolute first strike, enter my round, kill in one move, or at least seriously wound the enemy to a dying state."
"Then under what circumstances can I enter ’my round’?"
"What Arcane and Mind dual-path spells can I possibly learn now to gain absolute first strike capability?"
Aemon wouldn’t impose a certain-death trial on Shawn; before his departure, he already had a slim chance to defeat a legendary enemy.
That chance lay in the Spiritual Knowledge contained in Su’en’s Brain.
"Analyzing Aemon from my perspective, the ultimate goal of this trial is to rapidly enhance my strength; thus the strengthening ans progressing further, mastering the Arcane Spirit Master inheritance of the Alien Monster Empire."
"From the outset, Aemon’s trial script was already arranged; I only have a slim chance to turn the tables after advancing to Arcane Spirit Master."
"Now, what I need to do is get a higher rating in Aemon’s script!"
"Doing so helps further leverage Aemon’s power in the future."
Shawn no longer resented the scripts arranged by others. Since he presently doesn’t have enough strength, he should patiently bide his ti, seize the opportunity, showcase flawless performance, and first obtain his own benefit in Aemon’s script.
He finished his breakfast in one go and started activating the mystical knowledge within his brain, sensing the Spiritual Ability Law left by Su’en’s Brain.
"Indeed!"
"During the advancent ceremony, I already obtained the ticket to Ti Spell."
Unlike the previous chaos and disorder, possessing mystical knowledge with order rules allowed Shawn to anticipate the power contained within his Extraordinary Essence, essentially granting him a god’s eye view, enabling him to speculate what corresponding ability could be obtained upon fully digesting the Extraordinary Essence.
Upon activating the Arcanist path, his analytical ability concerning mystical knowledge was further enhanced, allowing him to prematurely decipher the Power Law contained in the Extraordinary Relics.
"Su’en is a powerful elder who mastered the Spiritual Ability Law."
"The important branch of the Spiritual Ability Law is Ti Spell; unlike the Ti Spell of the Wizard Path, the threshold for the Spiritual Ability Series Ti Spell is extrely low."
"Aemon’s only opportunity left for is advancing to Arcane Spirit Master and mastering the first sixth-tier spell."
"Half a month’s ti."
"If my digestion speed of Extraordinary Essence is fast enough, there’s a chance to complete the advancent by the end of the month, but he probably didn’t anticipate I would activate the Path of Destiny, possessing the Arcanist’s inheritance, directly digesting all the Extraordinary Essence during advancent."
