"If you don’t even believe in your own potential, then you’re utterly hopeless! Should you carelessly die, I can only extract your soul to create a legendary Skeleton Golem."

Shawn had no doubt that Aemon would do as he said, for he cared not at all about life.

Aemon gently raised a finger, and a black ring floated in front of Shawn, emitting an obscure glow, its surface engraved with countless complex runes.

Shawn looked up in confusion and asked, "What is this?"

Aemon replied indifferently, "The Witch King’s Ring. It’s part of a certain Divine Artifact, but for now, it can only be considered a Legendary Wondrous Object."

"All your personal belongings are inside."

"And you seem to like using firearms, there’s a small arsenal inside. I casually stole it from Dorne City."

What?

Shawn reached out in surprise to take the black ring. The mont he touched it, knowledge surged excitedly and restlessly, and then mysterious knowledge cautiously touched it. A room-sized otherdinsional space manifested in Shawn’s mind.

A space ring?

No!

There are additional abilities, but it seems I can’t activate them for now.

It’s still sealed.

Mysterious knowledge couldn’t break the rune engravings on it, so Shawn couldn’t utilize the power it could bestow.

Inside the room-sized dinsion space, there was food, clothing, Shawn’s daily items from the past, and even a curious cane left by Lady Hecate, though he didn’t know its use. Almost everything from his apartnt was moved in.

In the corner of the dinsion space was a small arsenal, filled with all sorts of conventional firearms, and ammunition piled up in the corner.

This?

Shawn looked up in surprise.

Aemon watched Shawn’s shocked expression and couldn’t help but laugh heartily. He said playfully, "I’m not one of those stubborn old bones who insists on playing the ga of suppression and balance."

"I am Aemon!"

"To a demon, anything that can enhance strength is valuable."

"A bit of risk, that’s completely insignificant!"

This Legendary Wondrous Object surely has so negative impact on Shawn since his strength is still too weak, and he might suffer additional ntal pollution. But Aemon didn’t care; he adhered to no taboo about using Legendary Wondrous Objects beyond one’s level. As long as it could enhance his own strength, a little pollution was nothing.

As long as a person hasn’t gone mad, that’s considered no pollution at all!

In Abyss City, there’s no concept of polluters, only when you completely lose control will you be on the Demon Guard’s kill list. But as long as you haven’t lost control, even if you’ve twisted into a half-human, half-monster deformity, you can still walk the streets unhindered; the Demon Guard won’t stop you.

This is the law of survival in Abyss City!

Aemon looked at Shawn before him, raised his hand and patted the back of the Flying Dragon King - Blood Fang. Then, with a violent tremor, Shawn plumted thousands of ters down.

This Demigod of the Demon Path chuckled, signaling the Flying Dragon King to return to Abyss City. Watching Shawn fall from the sky, Aemon said softly, "In three days, I’ll arrange your next trial."

"Don’t die too quickly!"

The fierce winds howled!

Shawn was thus thrown by Aemon from thousands of ters in the air.

Through the gray mist, Shawn pierced through a cloud, having fallen nearly a thousand ters. With his current strength, he could safely land using the Flying Skill, but considering Aemon had tossed him into the wilderness of the Bizarre Realm, every bit of his Primitive Magic Power was extrely precious.

So Shawn ultimately decided to check the terrain below to see if he could save the 1-level spell expenditure and use a 2-level Dinsional Jump to land safely.

Flying in the sky made one a more conspicuous target.

Perhaps the potential was pushed out of him in this dire situation, as Shawn’s mind was surprisingly calm even while plumting from thousands of ters. Instead, he had the presence of mind to consider his next action, even observing the surrounding terrain.

Aemon was harsher than anyone; he didn’t care about other people’s lives. Falling into his hands, Shawn could only find a way to save himself.

He claid this was a brutal trial; it was definitely a brutal trial. Even a demon could die easily with a slight misstep!

"Damn!"

"He threw into the Ancient Race’s territory!" Shawn realized the situation below, feeling his head buzzing.

The wilderness of the Bizarre Realm has areas occupied by the Ancient Race, characterized by traits like poisonous fog, swamps, seas of fire, and quicksand. The domination of old rules alters the world’s laws, making so areas harsher than the Bottomless Abyss.

Where Aemon dropped Shawn was clearly an active area of the Ancient Race, for he was above the Poison Gas Swamp, with ghostly distorted trees and bizarre life animated by laws spread across the filthy earth below.

And this is dayti; at night, the Spirit Realm’s creatures would erge.

That’s how the title of Night Watcher ca about.

——Dinsional Jump!

Shawn’s landing location was decent; he didn’t fall directly near the Poison Gas Swamp. Seeing it was a mudflat beneath him, he eventually decided to conserve the 1-level spell and used a Dinsional Jump to land at the edge of the foul, asphalt-like mudflat.
