" Mum, let help out with serving the dishes", Lie Ruge stood up in an attempt to follow Yi Lan's mum to the kitchen, but she rejected her help.
" Co on baby, you are our guest for today so let us serve you. There is no room for argunt Ok", Madam Yi said as she headed off to the kitchen. Lie Ruge obediently sat down beside Elder Yi.
" Ge'er let take sothing from my room, I won't be long", Elder Yi quickly excused himself too. He knew that his son wanted to be alone with Lie Ruge, so he used the excuse of getting sothing from his room to let them have their privacy. Yi Lan did not waste ti, he quickly jumped from the opposite side of the table where he was sitting down to where Lie Ruge was sitting down when his dad was no longer at sight.
" I will have to punish you wifey when we get back ho for choosing your father and mother-in-law over your handso hubby", Yi Lan said childishly as he quickly rested his head on her shoulders while he used his right hand to wrap around her waist.
" How are you gonna punish ? Don't tell you are gonna f*ck from morning to night non-stop or you are gonna kiss till I lose all my senses huh...?", Lie Ruge ask Yi Lan with a devilish smile visible on her face. Yi Lan imdiately rembered that was exactly the sa words he said to her when they had recently t. Yi Lan was left speechless for about three minutes; his own words were used against him this ti around.
" Hmmm not in such a severe manner wifey, there are many ways to punish you don't you think so?", Yi Lan asked naughtily as he tickled her playfully.
" Stop it alright, mum and dad might enter the sitting room any ti from now so let's behave ourselves alright...", Lie Ruge said as she dragged the last word to show how serious she was.
" Co on Ge'er, it hurts so much to see you love my mum and dad more than you love ? It also hurts to see you choose them over ", Yi Lan said painfully, he wasn't hurt as he had said he was just trying to make Lie Ruge pet him.
" You know that is not true right? Although I had liked your mum and dad so much since from childhood, of course, my love for them can never be compared to yours. You an the whole world to Lanlan and you know it", Lie Ruge said firmly as she stroked his hair with her right hand.
" Kiss and I will know that you love more than you love my parents", Yi Lan said as he tapped his lips to show her where to plant the kiss on. Lie Ruge did not have any other choice but to do what he wanted. Just after Yi Lan and Lie Ruge disconnected their lips the maid entered to announce to them that lunch was ready. Yi Lan shouted on the maid and threw the maid a murderous glare which made the maid took to her heels. He was annoyed that the girl had to enter at the very minute he wanted to tease Lie Ruge so more. Lie Ruge had to drag Yi Lan by the hand before he stood up from his seat. Madam Yi and Elder Yi could not believe how their cold and domineering son had to resort to such tactics to gain Lie Ruge's attention.
" I heard you shout at the maid a while ago, is that how you are going to treat my precious baby when she becos your wife? Tell why I should not adopt her if you would only end up bullying her in the future huh?", Madam Yi asked fiercely as she tried to whisk Lie Ruge out of Yi Lan's grip but Yi Lan's grip was firr than hers, so she could not overpower him.
" I would never do that to Ge'er mum and I know that you would never adopt her since you and dad wants her as your daughter-in-law. Although Ge'er loves you and dad so much, she would choose to beco my wife rather than beco your beloved daughter since I have already bewitched her with my incredible charms", Yi Lan said as he still held firmly onto Lie Ruge's hand.
" Are you sure that she is the one that has been bewitched by your charms or you are the one who have been bewitched by our baby's irresistible charms? You have fallen head over heels for our beautiful daughter or am I wrong?", Elder Yi asked playfully.
" Mum, dad, this is so unfair. Why are you and dad siding with Ge'er? You guys are supposed to be on my side. Siding with her is one thing mum but you and dad are not allowed to snatch my beautiful damsel away from ", Yi Lan said childishly. His dad shook his head when he saw how possessive his son was over his woman. Who would have that thought his cold and ruthless son was capable of loving soone. He has changed so much to the extent that it was hard for his parent to recognize their son. But they were so happy because the imnse change was a positive one. They were so grateful to Lie Ruge for shining light into their son's dark life. Lie Ruge quickly used her elbow to nudge Yi Lan by his side when he said those words.
" Mum, Dad, I'm sorry about Yi Lan's behavior. He is not always like this, I guess he is jealous because mum and dad likes so much", Lie Ruge quickly apologized.
" You don't have to apologize on his behalf baby, we know how naughty and competitive our son can be when he feels that his position is being threatened. Have your seat alright? And Yi Lan told us that you are allergic to shrimps, so we made all the dishes shrimps-free", Madam Yi said as she gestured her to have her seat. Everyone ate their al heartily as they chatted happily like one big family. Now it was ti to give Madam Yi and Elder Yi the gifts they had brought for them. Madam Yi and Elder Yi smiled happily when they saw the heap of gifts, they had brought for them. Like Yun Yi had said, Madam Yi was so extraordinarily happy when she saw all her favorite paintings by the best artiste in the world brought before her. Elder Yi and Madam Yi felt so overwheld by their gifts.
" Mum, I heard that you love reading quality romance novels, so I picked this one for you, I hope you like it", Lie Ruge said as she handed the novel over to Madam Yi. Madam Yi's eyes shone brightly when she saw the novel.
" Wow! Thank you so much, my baby, you have showered your mum with so many priceless gifts, I don't even know how to thank you any more", Madam Yi said happily as she instantly gave Lie Ruge a tight hug.
" You don't have to thank , Mum, I'm satisfied to see you happy. That is all that matters to , you are worth a million tis more than all these gifts combined", Lie Ruge said patting Madam Yi's back. Madam Yi quickly pulled away from her embrace after hugging her for about two minutes. She took a closer look at the cover of the book and the title of the novel too.
" Birth of the devilish beauty: So, what if I'm a lady? The title sounds fantastic, it sounds fun or what do you think baby?", Madam Yi asked eagerly.
" It is very interesting, I read a few chapters online before I left my Mansion and I can't wait to finish the whole novel when I get back ho", Lie Ruge replied excitedly.
" Ok, I will read it together with your dad later on. Co let show you around the Mansion. After that, I have sothing amusing to show you. I know you will like it", Madam Yi exclaid happily as she dragged Lie Ruge along with her. Yi Lan asked his dad what his mum wanted to show Lie Ruge that was so amusing but his dad pretended as if he did not know anything about what his wife was talking about. Madam Yi happily showed Lie Ruge around the Mansion. She even showed her so awards Yi Lan won when he was a little boy. When she was through showing her around the Mansion, she quickly held her hands and gently drag her to the master's bedroom. Yi Lan and his dad follow close behind them. Yi Lan wanted to see what his mum was so eager to show Lie Ruge that he had not seen. Getting to the bedroom, she beckons Lie Ruge to have her seat while she brought out a photo album. Lie Ruge was so curious to see what Yi Lan's mum wanted to show her. Mummy handed the photo album to her for her to open it. Lie Ruge could not help smiling when she saw pictures of a cute little boy making a serious face as if he was forced to take the pictures.
" I guess this must be pictures of Yi Lan when he was a little kid right?", Lie Ruge asked curiously.
" Yeah they are his pictures, he disliked taking pictures when he was a boy that his mum had to always forced him into have his pictures captured that is why his expressions are like that in all those pictures. He was only willing to have his pictures taken when he was with you. I'm surprised you don't even rember that too", Elder Yi answered a little surprised at her question.
" Honey I guess you must be getting old that you don't even rember that Ge'er had a selective amnesia due to the trauma she suffered as a child back then. Don't you rember how shocked we were when we found out that the only person that she erased from her mory back then was Yi Lan, Yi Lan almost passed out when he heard the news.....",
" Mum", Yi Lan quickly interrupted his mum. Madam Yi imdiately changed the topic, she was so carried away that she unintentionally brought up their painful past. Yi Lan quickly directed his gaze to Lie Ruge to see her expression, but he was shocked to see her happily flipping the pages of the album. He was so afraid previously that she would be affected by his mum's ntion about her past but now he was so relieved to see her unaffected by his mum's words.
" Mum, did you give birth to a pretty princess that I did not know about? She looks so pretty like a real princess", Lie Ruge said as she stares at Madam Yi inquiringly. Madam Yi could not help laughing when she saw the pictures Lie Ruge was referring to. Elder Yi also join in the laughter, they had planned it together, so he knew why his wife was laughing.
" Of course I never gave birth to a pretty princess before, I only gave birth to a pretty prince who was sotis transford into a little pretty princess", Madam Yi said as she smiled brightly.
" Oh my gosh! So this is Yi Lan? This is so unbelievable", Lie Ruge exclaid in shock as she took another look at the pictures. She quickly removed the pictures from the album before Yi Lan could reach their seat.
" So you were not only a pretty prince but also a pretty princess huh? I wonder whether you will still look so charming if I was to dress you up in princess dress? Should I be addressing you as elder sister or pretty elder sister?", Lie Ruge asked teasingly as she quickly stood up from the couch before Yi Lan could snatch the pictures away from her hand.
