Just like the blue planet, Earth, Eretre consisted mostly of water bodies. Although its four continents were huge landmasses with so being roughly twice the size of Asia, Eretre was a planet at least twice the size of Earth so this wasn’t a problem.

Due to the large size of the planet, each continent was quite far from the other. This was why the Oklo Dynasty had a hard ti governing the planet even with the technological advancents of the modern era. In order to achieve efficiency, they set up regional governnts within the continents.

Each governnt was loyal to the Dynasty and reported to them. They controlled the territories within the continents, known as city-states, and governed the people.

Outside of these city-states, there was still a large expanse of land in the continents. These lands were mostly barren or occupied by desolate beasts, with the latter being known as desolate beast domains.

In Eretre, there were countless desolate beast domains, but only seven were reputable around the planet. They were known as the "Seven Cursed Graveyards". Even the ’safest’ of the seven graveyards was a Class A desolate beast domain, which was the rank for a desolate beast domain capable of threatening multiple districts in a city-state.

A Class A desolate beast domain has confird presences of eight and ninth level desolate beasts, with a possible tenth level desolate beast. It should be recalled that the average strength of a city lord was the tenth level of the Apertures Opening stage. From this, one could see how dangerous a Class A desolate beast domain was, but it was only the weakest of the seven cursed graveyards.

On the Groeten continent that houses five city-states, there was one Cursed Graveyards —the Wastelands which bordered Baylands city-state. The Wastelands was a large expanse of land that was bigger than so city-states. Within it were smaller desolate beast domains, and with the large cluster gathered in one place, it beca what it was today. Rumours had it that an eleventh level desolate beast dwelled here. As such, not even the true powers of Baylands City-state could clean up the area.

Two of the Seven Cursed Graveyards were located in the water, albeit two different oceans. One of them was under the ocean while the other was an island on a different ocean.

The Beast continent alone had three of the Cursed Graveyards, which was why it was nad the Beast continent. The continent was an abandoned place by hyuman authorities and only had two city-states; which was small when compared to the other two continents (Bernin continent excluded) that had five city-states each. Interestingly, both city-states consisted mostly of either humans, crossbreeds or both.

The last of the Cursed Graveyards was located in the fourth Eretrean continent.

While the Seven Cursed Graveyards were like ticking ti bombs to the city-states close to them, they were also gold mines. For instance, Baylands city-state generated a ton of revenue from selling desolate beast parts with the other four city-states on the Groeten continent. This was thanks to the fact that the Wastelands provided a bunch of desolate beasts, so of which were exotic and rare to find elsewhere.

The Bernin continent, which was ho to Belfargos territory and the Oklo Dynasty, was the the only continent without a Cursed Graveyard. Despite this, it was still flourishing in desolate beast supply thanks to the abundance of Class A domains like the Millenia Mountains.

There was also a space port in Belfargos city and so other cities in the territory. These space ports provided routes to the neighbouring planet, Jota, which was ho to various desolate beasts. However, not all freelancer organisations could use the space ports.

This was because of the cost as well as the risk in operating in a foreign planet. For the most part, the dium and smaller sized freelancer organisations operated in the Class A domains on the continent, or travelled to the ’unowned’ Cursed Graveyards.

Unowned Cursed Graveyards referred to the two in the ocean, or the three domains on the Beast continent.

. . .

One of the Beast continent’s three Cursed Graveyards, Class S desolate beasts domain, the Forsaken Void Expanse.

"Cawww!"

A gigantic bird-like creature landed on the ground and cawed visible sound waves that wrecked that shook the trees and wrecked the area.

The monster looked just like a pterodactyl, but with a much larger wingspan reaching up to twelve tres. It was also very tall, easily towering a giraffe. Its teeth could occasionally be spotted whenever it widened its beak. But the sight of them did not bring comfort to the eyes.

The razor sharp teeth attached to the inside of the stork beak was a horrifying weapon that could easily devour tal chunks. There was no doubt that even an armoured vehicle or a billion can would easily be made short work of by those teeth.

Ignoring the sharp beak and glistening teeth, the claws of the monster were nothing to brush off. Even as they helped prop up the creature’s body from the ground, they easily pierced through the stone floor while giving off a tal sheen.

This was the fearso might of the seventh level desolate beast, Glacylka, the king of the sky. Due to its ’armants’ and ability, the Glacylka was a desolate beast even eighth level stellar practitioners had to be wary of. If one wasn’t well equipped, they might even lose their lives at the hands of this monster.

However, this dreaded aerial hunter was now forced to the ground with a broken wings, staring at the figure in front of it with fear and anxiety.

An individual garbed in full body armour walked at a steady pace as they approached the beast.

The Glacylka cried out warning sounds and tried to put up a strong front, but the individual was unperturbed.

Worry flashed in the monster’s eyes as it attempted to take to the skies. However, the injury on its right wing abruptly widened with that attempt, forcing it to the ground.

"Caw!"

Madness flashed in the Glacylka’s eyes as it gave up the idea of escaping and charged at the individual. Flying might be a challenge for it with that injury, but the sa couldn’t be said about a ground charge.

Despite its large size, the Glacylka was surprisingly fast as it closed the twenty tres gap in almost a second. Its beak widened to devour the adversary that had abruptly brought it down to the ground. As long as the opponent was caught within its beak, their life would end. Even the seventh level Silverback Armoured Rhino, that was well known for its impressive defence on par with a top-tier Grade 4 defensive vestige, could easily be torn apart by those sharp teeth.

Seeing the individual not reacting to its movent, the Glacylka displayed an emotion of glee across its eyes. In that mont, it chalked its injury up to being ambushed and concluded that its opponent was just lucky. With victory reaching its palms, or in this case, beak, the Glacylka relished in this feeling of accomplishnt with pride.

But as the old saying went, pride cos before a fall.

In the next mont, a soft feminine voice —smooth as honeyed silk yet refreshing like the plum blossoms in Spring— resounded clear as a silver bell from the individual.

"Down."

Almost imdiately, the ferocious Glacylka that believed it was just a millisecond away from victory, was abruptly forced to the ground.

*Thud*

It was almost as if a massive weight was placed on the Glacylka’s back as it got crushed to the ground, forming a small crater on the spot.

The Glacylka, while in pains, could not believe what was happening. Its target was within the range of its beak and all it needed to do was to clamp down and end their life. Despite this undeniable fact, it just couldn’t proceed with the motion. This wasn’t due to fear, anxiety or any sort of emotion; the Glacylka was simply couldn’t move any inch of its body. It couldn’t even blink, much less clamp its beak.

The armoured figure, who was most likely a woman due to the nature of their voice, faced the Glacylka. The slits on the woman’s helt had a layer of black protective glass, so the desolate beast couldn’t even get a hint of her emotion at that mont.

However, there was no need for that as the sweet voice sounded yet again, but this ti with a cold tone.

"Shatter."

*Bam*

The Glacylka suddenly explored, splattering blood, bone, flesh and organs in all directions except for where the woman stood. It was an uncanny incident that would send shivers through anyone’s spine but the woman seed unperturbed.

"Princess."

Out of nowhere, a shadow appeared a few tres away behind the woman and solidified into a figure —a young man in black clothing.

"We’ve found their tracks. 82 degrees north of here."

"Good. I was finally getting bored of playing around with pigeons. Let’s go."
