Fyodor Mihailovich’s pupils contracted slightly. He sensed that the Pain and Despair Concepts from the Twin Maidens had reached 84%, while Twist and Destruction had broken through to 83%!
The Pain and Despair Heavenly Dragon’s primary targets were the five Quasi-Immortal beings at the frontlines, alongside the Longevity Association’s many Divine Envoys and expert legislators. Yet its Conceptual Powers inevitably spilled over, radiating shockwaves.
Even Mihailovich felt minor effects—his body tingled painfully, and he was overwheld with a sense of despair at everything before him.
A thought crept into his head: the Double Heavenly Maiden can only fight for 20 seconds at most. But the ones most affected were clearly the Longevity Association. Mihailovich could already sense over ten legislators abandoning the battlefield under the influence of despair emotions, fleeing into the nearby Seventh Base City.
Mihailovich marveled at the overwhelming power of the Double Heavenly Maiden, inwardly envious, wondering when he himself might reach their level of combat strength.
But he imdiately shook his head, recalling the details of the Double Heavenly Maiden’s files and history.
These two girls were cultivated in test tubes and had lived their entire lives in absolute despair and profound pain.
Perhaps it was precisely because they had experienced despair so deeply, understood pain so profoundly, that they could control these two Quasi-Abyss Concepts.
Mihailovich could sense clearly that the Double Heavenly Maiden’s control over the ‘Pain’ and ‘Despair’ Concepts far exceeded their mastery of Twist and Destruction.

Mihailovich sent a direct ssage to the person in charge of North Arica’s ‘God’s Scepter’ project: “Casey! I want to know how much longer it’ll take to get that damned Abyss Weapon of yours online! Is it really God’s Scepter, or is it God’s Fault?”
The person responsible for the project was a female North Arican engineering academician nad Casey Wood.
Her reply dripped with helplessness: “Apologies! There’s been a mole in our team—they tampered with the program and burned out the Abyss Weapon’s synaptic neurons. We’re replacing them urgently but will need at least 45 seconds.”
Mihailovich: “*****!”
The Star Navy’s Chief of Staff, who prided himself on his composure, couldn’t help but curse, making Casey Wood’s face turn dark with anger as she imdiately cut off their video connection.

While these weapons had started up nominally, as Mihailovich had predicted, their respective Abyss projects amounted to nothing more than good-looking PowerPoint presentations. When put into actual use, they couldn’t even sustain basic combat operation, let alone activate Immortal-Level Concepts.
