Three hours later, Vice President Brown stepped into the central region of the Eighth Base City, entering the most expansive, tallest, and grandest building in the area.
This was the headquarters of the “Beitian Financial Group,” known as the Beijin Building. Its architectural design resembled a throne, standing imposingly at the heart of the financial center in the Eighth Base City.
Under the guidance of a female attendant, Vice President Brown took a dedicated elevator to the top floor of the building. When he entered the single office occupying this level, he imdiately saw the building’s owner—Chairman of the Beitian Financial Group and President of the Congressional Financial Committee, Yi Duxing.
The man stood at a remarkable height of two ters, with an extrely lean build, resembling a towering pine tree devoid of excess branches.
Yet, seated in a broad office chair, he appeared strikingly harmonious, exuding an air of commanding dignity, restrained and profound.

However, his endeavors extended far beyond finance. Through his holdings and investnts, he had expanded his influence across nurous industries.
Yi Duxing also controlled so of the Earth Federation’s top ten ultra-large Alien Companies and top fifteen cargo and trade corporations.
Rumors suggested that the Evil Pirate Group was backed by him, though the Federation Security Bureau had never found conclusive evidence.
To Brown, the man before him had saved his life multiple tis from the brink of death, becoming soone he was willing to dedicate everything to serve.
Yi Duxing, on the other hand, gazed at Brown with a look of curious contemplation: “Go ahead, what kind of information requires a face-to-face discussion?”
Vice President Brown, with a composed expression, transmitted intelligence regarding Fu Xuexian and the Invincible Dharma King Li Weiliang through the internal network of the Beitian Financial Group.
After carefully reviewing the material, Yi Duxing’s gaze sharpened, and his previously reclined body suddenly straightened: “Are you suggesting that the Invincible Dharma King, Li Weiliang, is actually Fu Xuexian?”
“Highly probable!” Vice President Brown nodded slightly. “Li Weiliang’s Battle Dragon, along with the nurous Bloodline Powers she awakened before reaching the Seventh Realm, bear notable similarities to Fu Xuexian. Furthermore, after recovering from that severe illness, her displayed knowledge and abilities directly trace back to Fu Xuexian. She possesses a remarkably high aptitude for electromagnetic and soul sciences; though she lost her academic mories, she instinctively knows what to do. She is also skilled in hacking technology, capable of infiltrating any device. We discovered that all the base-level codes in the equipnt we previously sold to her had been completely modified.”
Vice President Brown pointed to the date of Li Weiliang’s recovery from her illness: “And take a look at this timing—it coincides precisely with Fu Xuexian’s death.”
“Indeed suspicious. Well done noticing this.”
Yi Duxing’s expression turned somber as he stroked his chin pensively: “But back then, you personally led the mission to execute Fu Xuexian. You yourself confird her death. How could she possibly have survived? When Fu Xuexian took over Huang Fuqing’s Artificial Sky project, it was incomplete; she shouldn’t have been able to manipulate events.”
“It might involve Lin Cong,” Brown replied.
Vice President Brown transmitted another intelligence file through the internal network: “We searched for Lin Cong for six entire years with no trace of him. Given the resources of the Longevity Association, this is highly unusual. After all, so long as a person is active, they will leave behind so trace.”
“It wasn’t until I recently reviewed the initial research findings from their early work that I discovered sothing. Look at this—this is sothing his wife and he uncovered fifteen years ago while researching the Soul Sacrifice Ritual on Sky Extre Star.”
“Hmm?” Yi Duxing opened the docunt, his eyebrows twitching slightly: “The principle of equivalent exchange?”
“On Sky Extre Star, long ago, mages researched thods involving sacrificing the Root and the Curtain to resurrect loved ones nearby. However, to extract a soul from the Curtain and the Root, an equivalent exchange was required—offering a soul of equal weight to bring the other back.”
Vice President Brown shrugged: “These mages all failed. Due to the contamination of the Artificial Sky, the resurrected souls they summoned either turned bloodthirsty and insane, losing their personalities, or beca mindless and dull, devoid of mory. Only the Nine Realms Emperor could maintain their True Spirit intact within the Sky and retain their mories. However, since two True Spirit-Immortal Nine Realms Emperors cannot be exchanged—they are not fully captured by the Sky or the Root—the process becos unworkable. Hence, this discovery was deed worthless. But—”
Vice President Brown’s voice paused, his tone intensifying: “This fits perfectly when applied to Lin Cong and Fu Xuexian!”
“So, you suspect Lin Cong is actually dead? And that his life was traded to bring Fu Xuexian back?”
Yi Duxing’s voice turned raspy: “That seems highly likely. Although Lin Cong was a top-tier Biological Engineer, his hacking skills were quite unremarkable. If he were truly alive, it would be impossible for us to find no trace of him.
Which also explains the perplexing actions of the Invincible Dharma King. For instance, her fleet of starships, or the exorbitant expenses—twice the regular cost—she incurred to purchase Combat chas designed for interstellar warfare. Is she planning to break through the Artificial Sky, return to the Heavenly Demon Origin, reclaim her mories, and protect her child?”
“Most likely. Fu Xuexian was one of the principal developers of the soul-uploading technology and the Artificial Sky. I suspect that she had already stored her mories in so supercomputer long before her ‘death.’ And don’t forget the Lin Rui siblings.”
