21 21. Missing Her

After dinner, William left the table as soon as possible. His parents and Lea were currently discussing the pregnancy. However, he couldn’t concentrate at all since there was another problem in his head.

“Pick it up ... pick it up, Paula!” He tried to reach Paula but the call was always forwarded to the other number. He tried her other number as well, but it was still off.

“Seriously, what happened to you?” William murmured. He clenched his teeth as he tried sending her so ssages. No reply from her, though. She was indeed ignoring him intentionally.

Lisa nodded. She tapped her son’s shoulder. “Don’t worry. I will take care of her. It’s my redemption.”

That night, William went ho without knowing that Paula had never co to him anymore. She would never pick up his call as if the good relationship they had nurtured was never a thing for her.

Two days passed. There was no sign for Paula to co ho. William couldn’t understand why Paula was doing all this without even talking to him.

However, the annoyance he felt because of Paula’s unfair treatnt was not comparable to the loneliness he got. Every night, William found it difficult to sleep because there was no one to hug and or be hugged.
