Ostrich ntality? Henry Sullivan suddenly smiled, finding that what Ivy Miller said made perfect sense.

A bunch of nearly forty-year-old adults couldn’t grasp the truth, yet a young girl born in the ’90s hit the nail on the head with one remark...

"What are you grinning about?"

He raised his hand to ruffle her hair, "I just thought, for a mont there, you seed like a sage."

Ivy pouted, "What’s the use if you don’t listen to a sage’s advice?"

Henry pondered for a mont. He had been thinking a lot these days.

Indeed, he shouldn’t continue like this.

He looked at her with earnest eyes, "This ti, I plan to heed the words of a sage."

Ivy was pleasantly surprised, "Are you serious? Which suggestion of mine are you going to take?"

"I intend to et Jas Yinley. Do you know how to contact him?"

"I have his number in my phone," Ivy said, after helping White Rice get dressed, and then she handed Henry Jas’ number.

The fact that he could accept her advice was indeed quite a change for her.

"If you feel awkward calling him yourself, I can arrange a eting for you."

"No need, from now on don’t call Jas Yinley anymore. I will contact him myself."

Ivy nodded. In fact, she never actively called him anyway.

But suddenly, she felt it was a good thing Jas was coming here.

After White Rice fell asleep, Henry ca out of the bathroom and saw her playing with her phone. He walked over and took the phone from her and placed it on the table.

Ivy frowned, "Hey, why are you doing that? I was reading the news."

"You were probably reading useless gossip. What’s the point?"

"How is it pointless? It’s my personal hobby," she reached out for her phone again.

Henry held her hand, "Why don’t we play a ga instead?"

"A ga?" Ivy sat upright, getting a bit serious. Her uncle wasn’t soone who usually played gas.

"Go on. When it cos to gas, I am very competitive, so be careful."

"Let’s have a push-up contest. The loser has to grant the winner a request."

Ivy was speechless, "Uncle, that’s a bit unfair, isn’t it? Who suggests a competition using their strong point against soone else’s weak point?"

"Then tell , what’s your strong point?"

Ivy thought for a mont, "Do you know how to play Checkers?"

"Checkers?" Henry thought for a mont, "I’m kind of familiar."

"Then let’s play Checkers. The loser agrees to one condition from the winner."

Henry smiled, "Alright."

Alright? Why was he so agreeable? Ivy felt sothing was off.

But since it was a competition, it had to be done properly.

She went to get the Checkers set and started the ga with him. She’d been unbeatable in this ga since she was a child.

Henry was going to lose this ti. She wanted to teach him a lesson.

If she won, she would make him promise to return Isla Linton to Jas Yinley.

Then the four of them would truly beco two separate families, each living their own best lives.

While she was thinking that, Ivy was amazed to discover that Henry actually won?

She looked at Henry in disbelief, "What’s going on?"

"What’s going on? I won, that’s what."

"That’s impossible... Did you cheat?" She absolutely couldn’t believe she lost. How could it be? She was the Checkers prodigy Ivy Miller, how could she lose?

Henry stood up, "Don’t be a sore loser. A bet’s a bet."

"Hey, you’re obviously... Were you a Checkers expert too?"

"Not exactly an expert, but playing this sort of thing doesn’t exactly require high intellect."

Crazy, does he have to be so sarcastic?

Was he implying that she liked doing mindless things?

"Alright, ga over. I won. Now, go take a shower."

Ivy frowned, "Why should I take a shower?"

"Do I need to spell it out? We made a bet, rember? A bet’s a bet.

Since you lost, you have to... listen to obediently."

Henry looked at her with ambiguous eyes, and Ivy thought, this guy is really terrible.

He was definitely a pro, setting her up on purpose.

She decided that she would never compete with Henry again.

Every ti, she was the only one getting bullied.

Ivy was still thinking about it while she showered.

Just as she ca out of the bathroom, Henry scooped her up in his arms and carried her to the bed. As he pressed her down, she finally caught her breath and looked at him, "Oh my, you scared ."

"I didn’t see you jump," he tapped her forehead. "Don’t speak. I’m turning off the light."

He switched off the light, his lips found hers, and Ivy closed her eyes, welcoming the enchanting atmosphere of the room.

The next night, after Henry returned ho, Ivy asked if he t with Jas Yinley. He said he hadn’t.

Ivy was a bit displeased, "Didn’t you say you wanted to et him? What happened? Did you chicken out when you thought of him as Isla’s husband?"

"You’re daydreaming again; it’s not that I don’t want to et him.

I did call him today, but he had to return to Mountain City for sothing urgent.

We’ve scheduled to et this Sunday."

Ivy was relieved, that sounded about right.

On Friday night, Ivy was at ho playing with little White Rice when her phone rang.

She walked over, glanced at it, and saw it was Jas Yinley calling. She looked up at Henry in the kitchen washing dishes and then answered the call.

"Hello, Mr. Yinley."

"I’ve found Isla’s whereabouts. I’m heading to Anchester now."

"Really? How did you find her?" Ivy shared in his excitent.

"We traced the signal from the call Faye Townsend made to her that day, because she turned off her phone after the call.

So my people used the signal for location tracking, which wasted a lot of ti.

They located an area and then found her after a widespread search."

Ivy nodded, "That’s good news. Are you going to see Isla Linton now?"

"No, if I go see her now, it will only scare her away.

Please don’t tell Henry Sullivan about this yet. Let ask you, why does he want to et with ?"

"It should be about Isla Linton too."

"Then ask him if he’s free tonight, I’d like to et with him."

Ivy chuckled, "Co over to my place. I’ll invite you for tea here. It’ll be easier to chat."

"Are you sure your husband won’t mind?"

"He’s the one who wants to et you. Why would he mind? Just co over, and if he does mind, I’ve got your back."

Hearing this, Jas Yinley chuckled, "Your husband might get jealous."

"I see you as a good person, as a friend. He wouldn’t. My husband is not that shallow."

"Alright then, see you later."

"Okay," After hanging up, Ivy felt extrely relieved. Finding Isla Linton ant... things could finally be resolved. These days had really been exhausting for her, and she could finally be at ease.
