After a long-haul flight lasting over a dozen hours, the plane finally landed steadily on the land of Anchester.

The airport was crowded with people, and the usually cool and composed Darnley turned out to be just a child after all.

He curiously looked around everywhere.

Faye Townshend ruffled his head with a smile, "Darnley, what are you looking at?"

"Faye, indeed this is Eldoria, there are Chinese people everywhere."

Faye laughed, it turned out his curiosity was because of this.

As her eyes caught the crowd ahead, Faye’s gaze swept across a certain face, and her heart unexpectedly skipped a beat.

Was she mistaken?

She refocused her gaze, no, it really was Hunter Warren.

Even through the crowd, she could see him at a glance.

Faye’s heart was in a flurry; who could have thought?

Returning to Anchester after six years, the first person she encountered would be him.

Calling it fate, she found it sowhat laughable.

But the past was already in the past, and they had ended completely outside the Anchester Cetery six years ago.

She hadn’t forgotten what he said that day.

Now, they were people with no relation.

So, passing by each other like strangers would be the best choice.

Faye took a deep breath, moved her gaze away from Hunter, and looked straight ahead.

At that mont, Hunter also saw Faye.

After six years, she still looked the sa.

The only evidence of ti passing on her might be the child she was holding.

His eyes fell on that child.

At that mont, he shuddered all over.

The child’s appearance...

How could it be... Didn’t she say this child was Oliver Turner’s?

Faye... this woman actually lied to him.

"I know that person."

Getting closer, Darnley’s hand suddenly pointed to Hunter in the crowd.

Faye was extrely frustrated, wishing she could knock this kid a bit.

Usually so quiet, now why waste words?

But she forced herself to calmly sweep her gaze over Hunter before looking down at Darnley.

"Didn’t your dad show you pictures of this person before? It’s normal to recognize him."

As they spoke, they had already walked past Hunter.

Hunter stood still and looked back at the mother and child walking away.

Only to hear the child use a disdainful, childish voice to say nonchalantly, "He did say that.

But Faye, I didn’t expect him to be your ex-husband, you really had poor taste back then."

Faye’s heart was about to leap out of her throat.

"Yeah, I was blind before. Speaking of which, who doesn’t have a past like stepping in crap at so point in their life?

Okay, stop blabbing. Your dad is still waiting for us at the door."

Hunter clenched his fist, a past like stepping in crap?

Ha, six years, and she’s still the sa.

But this child... Faye, do you think pretending not to recognize will let you escape?

I won’t let you off.

"President, we need to board the plane now, or we’ll be late."

The secretary beside him reminded him of his schedule, sowhat nervously.

Hunter let out a cold huff, glanced at the secretary, then turned and quickly walked to board the plane.

After walking quite a distance, Darnley looked back.

Faye softly asked, "How is it, has he left?"

"He left."

Faye let out a sigh of relief. Darnley looked up at her and said, "Faye, your palms are sweating a lot."

Daring to speak, Faye looked down and glared at him, "What’s wrong with you today, kid? Why say so much, just pretend you didn’t see that person next ti."

Darnley rarely grinned, "Faye, seeing your ex-husband must have felt so awkward that it made you nervous and sweaty."

"Shut up, don’t say anything weird in front of your Dad later."

They exited the airport, where Oliver Turner was already waiting at the door.

Seeing Oliver, Darnley ran up, and Oliver picked him up, "Darnley, did you miss Dad?"

"Of course I did, Oliver Dad. We haven’t seen each other for five months."

Oliver tapped his nose, "Didn’t I tell you on the phone yesterday?

You can’t call Oliver Dad here, you have to call Dad."

"Dad." Darnley wrapped his arms around Oliver’s neck.

Faye walked up and smiled with pursed lips, "Oliver, long ti no see."

"If you didn’t stop from visiting you, we wouldn’t have had such a long ti of not seeing each other."

Faye shrugged with a smile, "Alright, don’t say such things in front of the child."

She took Darnley from his arms, "Let’s go back, don’t you have business to talk about?"

"You... " Oliver’s driver brought the car over.

Oliver sat in the passenger seat while Faye and Darnley sat in the backseat.

"Darnley, are you tired? Have a good rest tonight.

Starting from tomorrow, I’ll take you out to play."

"Really?" Darnley was very happy, leaning between the main driver and the passenger seat.

Oliver raised his hand to ruffle his head, "I never lie to kids."

Darnley pouted, fully showing his childlike nature, "I wish Miya could co back with us."

Faye raised her hand to ruffle his head and laughed, "If Miya knew you missed her so much, she would be very happy. Let’s call her when we get back."

"Sure, and also call Dad Kay."

"Mhm."

Darnley turned his attention back to clinging to Oliver.

Seeing Darnley like this, Faye felt another wave of emotion in her heart.

Darnley didn’t have a father, so ever since he could rember, Kay Forrest had been educating him.

You’re the man of the house, you have to protect the won at ho.

Over ti, at ho, Darnley always acted like a little adult.

Actually, sotis thinking about it, she really felt sorry for Darnley.

"Faye, what are you thinking about?"

Faye was staring absentmindedly out the window and snapped back to reality to see Oliver watching her from the passenger seat.

She pursed her lips, "I was thinking, Anchester doesn’t seem to have changed much in these six years.

I thought I might not recognize it upon returning this ti."

Oliver flashed a wicked smile, "The central comrcial area of the city is like this, even after ten or eight years, it probably won’t change much.

But the suburbs and developnt areas are different.

I’ll take you and the kid for a visit there soday, you won’t recognize it now."

"Is that so?"

Suburbs... Her only impression was of the abandoned basketball court.

Hunter and his friends used to play basketball there.

Because it was secluded, no one would disturb them.

She liked the atmosphere when she first followed Henry Sullivan there.

The abandoned basketball court walls were all painted in abstract art by so ’artistic youths.’

She rembered a big-mouthed clown.

And a skeleton with a fantastic figure.

That wall also held her buried secret.

She wondered if that basketball court was still there.

"In any case, you’ll surely be astonished.

Earlier this year, the Townsend corporation bought so land there.

I heard that before your father passed, he always wanted to build a nursing ho.

But that plan never materialized.

This ti you can see if that plot of land is suitable."

Faye looked at him gratefully, "Thank you."

"Alright, in the future, there’ll be plenty more reasons for you to thank ."

Oliver wanted them to stay at his house.

But Faye insisted on staying in a hotel.

Knowing Faye’s temper, he could only agree.

He arranged for them to stay in the presidential suite of the Turner hotel.

After they put down their luggage, Oliver checked the ti, "Perfect, let’s go downstairs to have a al together."

Faye looked at him, "Is Clara in the country?"

Oliver raised an eyebrow at her, then nodded after a mont, "Yes, she’s in Anchester."

"Let’s invite her to join us."

"Alright." Oliver casually took out his phone and called Clara.

After answering the call, Clara was very excited to hear Oliver wanted to have a al together.

But the mont she found out Faye ca back, her excitent imdiately vanished.

"Really?"

"We’re at the hotel restaurant waiting for you, quickly co over when you get off work."

"I’d better not co over, it’s been so long since you’ve t each other, it’s not good for to go."

"Alright, stop the nonsense, call when you arrive."

After hanging up, Faye was urging Darnley to take a bath.

Anchester was very hot, and Faye was worried Darnley would feel uncomfortable all sweaty.

Faye wanted to go in to help, but Darnley looked at Oliver and then raised his head, "No need, I can manage on my own."

Faye looked at him in surprise, "Really?"

"Of course, I’m a boy and you’re a girl; you can’t co in while I’m taking a bath."

As he finished talking, he already closed the door.

She glanced back at Oliver with a wry smile, "This kid... sotis the words from his mouth leave speechless; does he seem like a child at all?"

"If he wants to do sothing himself, let him do it.

Don’t be like those overindulgent parents who insist on taking care of everything for their children.

So parents in Eldoria are like that sotis.

Clearly, it’s their overindulgence that clips their children’s wings, but they still complain their kids can’t fly.

Don’t make that mistake."

"Darnley has always been independent, but I’ve always helped him with the bath.

This really is the first ti he’s done it.

Perhaps it’s because he’s shy with you here."

Faye went back to the living room and sat on the sofa, "Is there sothing major being decided at the board eting this ti?

You didn’t tell when I was in Switzerland, surely you can tell now."

Oliver chuckled slyly, "It’s personal ti now, I won’t talk business with you.

About the board eting, you’ll know once you go to the company tomorrow."

"Do you really have to keep it a secret?"

Oliver smiled as he sat beside her, steering the conversation away.

"How is it, are you ready for your return to Anchester?"

"Ready for what?"

"Ready to be with , I’ve been waiting for you for six years.

Surely you won’t make keep waiting any longer."

Faye laughed awkwardly, "Now’s personal ti, I won’t talk about feelings with you."

Oliver gently raised his hand to hold hers that was resting on her knee.

"Faye, seriously, be with , I’m ready.

As long as you nod, we can get married imdiately."
