"It’s perfect when we’re out of sight, out of mind, don’t you think?"

Grayson Forrest didn’t want to argue: "Jane, what’s your opinion?"

"Uncle, I’m fine with anything, moving in is also okay."

"No, I don’t agree," Kay Forrest crossed his legs, "I can compromise on everything else, but not this."

Kay Forrest knew Jane Quinlan was soft-hearted, but he couldn’t agree to this.

He knew his dad’s temper all too well.

When he was back, it was like fire eting dynamite between father and son, nothing good ca of it.

Grayson Forrest glared at Kay Forrest; this kid was simply his natural opponent.

Jane Quinlan, caught between the two, said awkwardly, "How about this, we co back and stay for ten days or so each month? How does that sound?"

Kay Forrest was about to say sothing when he heard Grayson Forrest nod, "Okay, that can work. You can have your own space for the rest of the ti, and I get to see you occasionally."

Although Kay Forrest was sowhat unhappy, he still agreed.

He knew that Jane Quinlan wanted to be a dutiful daughter-in-law, so he had to agree to her little request.

After the dinner was ready, Evie Larkin ca to call the four to eat.

As they went over, Grayson Forrest sat at the head of the table.

Kay Forrest sat on his left with Jane Quinlan, Nolan Moore and Evie Larkin were on his right.

Jane Quinlan and Evie Larkin faced each other, still feeling a bit awkward.

Kay Forrest served so food to Jane Quinlan, "This is wild chicken leg, very clean, here, have so."

Jane Quinlan was sowhat resistant to the chicken legs from his ho, her expression fell just by looking at it.

Looking worried, Kay Forrest asked, "What’s wrong?"

Jane Quinlan took a breath and shook her head, "It’s nothing."

She didn’t want to be too sentintal and felt it was inappropriate in front of the elders.

She picked up the chicken leg with her chopsticks, but just after taking a bite and before she could chew, a wave of nausea hit...

She put down her chopsticks and rushed to the bathroom, covering her mouth.

Kay Forrest quickly followed her and upon entering, saw her bent over the toilet, retching.

He stepped forward and gently patted her back.

Faye Townsend had gone through this when she was pregnant.

At that ti, he felt that won during pregnancy truly suffered too much.

Seeing Jane Quinlan now, he felt even more distressed.

She was suffering because of him, and he wished he could share so of her burden.

After Jane Quinlan threw up a few tis, she sighed in relief, "Forrest, I’m okay, you go back and eat.

If both of us are gone, uncle might worry."

"Don’t worry about others right now.

Seeing you like this, my heart is breaking.

Do you feel a bit better now?

Is it the wild chicken leg that’s making you sick, or can’t you eat at?

If needed, I’ll change your food in a bit."

"Oh, it’s nothing, doesn’t every woman go through childbirth? It’s all the sa.

Don’t worry, maybe it’ll get better after a few days.

Go on back and eat, I’ll feel guilty if you don’t."

"I’ll stay with you."

Jane Quinlan saw he wouldn’t leave and didn’t insist any further. After the nausea subsided, she stood up and left with Kay Forrest.

"Sorry, I might have ruined everyone’s appetite. Why don’t you eat first, I’ll eat later."

Evie Larkin worriedly asked, "Ms. Quinlan, you can’t eat anything at all? How about I get you so light vegetables?"

Jane Quinlan bit her lip as she looked at the table full of dishes: "I actually really want to eat, but I just can’t stand the sll."

The servant from behind suddenly suggested, "Miss Quinlan, shall I make you so hot and sour soup instead?"

"Hot and sour soup?" Just hearing the words ’hot and sour’ seed to spark a bit of appetite.

"When my daughter-in-law was pregnant, she vomited a lot too, and I made this for her. She could eat it without throwing up.

I’m not sure if it will work for you, but it’s worth a try."

Jane Quinlan brightened up, "Oh yes, auntie, thank you."

The aunt turned back and went into the kitchen; after about fifteen minutes, a delightful aroma wafted out.

Jane Quinlan stood up and walked into the kitchen, seeing the aunt stirring the soup, she sniffed and said, "Oh my goodness, auntie, it really slls delicious."

The aunt smiled, "If you think it slls fine, there shouldn’t be any big problem when eating it."

Jane Quinlan pouted: "I hope I won’t vomit again; I’ve been feeling really terrible these past few days."

"Ah, the beginning and the end of pregnancy are the hardest for won.

My daughter-in-law’s feet swelled so much she couldn’t even walk.

In the end, we had to push her into the hospital in a wheelchair.

Thinking back, it was really hard."

As they chatted, the aunt finished making the hot and sour soup.

Slling the zesty scent, Jane Quinlan suddenly felt very craving.

She took a spoonful and drank it down, surprisingly without feeling any nausea.

She looked up at the aunt with a smile, "Auntie, this tastes so good."

"Then have a bit more, you should eat sothing, even if you throw it up later, you need sothing in your stomach to digest."

"Yeah, thank you, auntie," Jane Quinlan nodded with a smile and happily began eating with everyone.

For the first ti in days, she managed to enjoy a hearty dinner

Seeing her eating so well, Kay Forrest also felt much relieved; indeed, it was much better than not eating at all.

"Auntie, whatever your daughter-in-law ate when she had morning sickness, please prepare similar things for Jane these next few days."

"Okay young master, but my daughter-in-law ate hot and sour soup for a month.

For Miss Quinlan, I can try to make sothing different for her."

Evie Larkin took a sip of red wine, "Ms. Quinlan, you really have suffered.",

"Previously in our departnt too, we had pregnant won, but I’ve never seen anyone with vomiting as severe as yours."

Before she could finish speaking, Kay Forrest frowned unhappily, "What do you an by that? Are you suggesting that Jane is faking it?",

You shouldn’t misunderstand; no mother would ever joke about her own child.

Jane loves to eat; if she wasn’t feeling so nauseated, why wouldn’t she eat?"

Evie Larkin hastily put down her glass, "Kay, don’t get wrong, I didn’t an that."

"Then don’t make comnts that are easily misunderstood."

Jane Quinlan put down her spoon and grabbed Kay Forrest, "Look at you getting all worked up; Ms. Larkin was just making conversation."

Kay Forrest looked at her fondly, "Anyone would think by those words that you were pretending."

"I didn’t think that at all. Ms. Larkin is slightly older than . She must have friends who have been pregnant and given birth.

Everyone reacts differently; maybe she has just never co across such severe reactions.

Just like how I don’t have many pregnant friends around .

I was also rather early among my classmates in this regard, and I find it hard to seek advice from soone, similar logic."

Jane Quinlan felt that Kay Forrest might have really misunderstood.

Evie Larkin might indeed think so, but she would never be so tactless to say such things in front of Grayson Forrest and Kay Forrest.

After all, Jane thinks Evie Larkin is quite clever.

Having interacted with her so many tis, she saw Evie Larkin as soone who could stab you in the back, but not stupid enough to make an enemy in public.
