Having not eaten for a whole day, there was nothing else to throw up.

After rinsing her mouth with water, she walked out of the restroom leaning against the wall.

Seeing the man slowly approaching from the other end of the corridor, her brows furrowed deeply.

She had never believed in the saying about "enemies on a narrow road," but now she did.

She never thought that her ex-husband, whom she normally had to schedule an appointnt with days in advance to see,

would appear before her eyes twice in one day.

Clearly, Hunter Warren had not expected to encounter Faye Townsend here either.

He stopped his steps three paces away from Faye and scrutinized her.

She looked very frail at the mont.

"Second Master Warren, what a coincidence to et you here," she said with a cool tone.

The words she spoke surprised even herself.

Hunter Warren raised his eyebrows, elegantly fastening the cufflinks on his sleeves: "I despise won who are clingy and unclear.

If I rember correctly, you were the one who said that the Townsend Family doesn't need my help."

Faye Townsend turned her head with a cold laugh: "Indeed, we don't. So rest assured, Second Master Warren, I, Faye Townsend, have awoken from my dream."

With that, she took two steps to the side and walked away from him.

Hunter Warren turned his cold gaze back to look at Faye Townsend's faltering steps as she left.

Damn it.

His indifferent eyes seed to burst with glacial fierceness.

Was this woman trying to challenge his limits?

Refusing to bow down and ask for his help, was she?

Fine, he would wait and see just how long she could hold out.

When Hunter Warren ca out of the restroom, he saw Henry Sullivan leaning against the wall outside the ladies' room, seemingly waiting for soone.

Only then did he realize that Faye Townsend had co with Henry Sullivan.

At the sa ti, Henry Sullivan also saw Hunter Warren.

Hunter Warren shrugged at him, his lips quirking: "Faye Townsend is not here, she just left."

Henry Sullivan stepped forward and grabbed Hunter Warren's collar: "Hunter Warren, you bastard, how did I warn you before?

If you can't give her the future she wants, you shouldn't have bothered her from the start, and if you married her, you should make her happy."

Hunter Warren casually shrugged with a wicked smile: "For a woman, you treat your good buddy like this?"

"Good buddy?" Henry Sullivan raised his fist to hit Hunter Warren, but it stopped just a centiter from his cheek; he then pushed him away fiercely with gritted teeth.

"I've told you not to follow in my footsteps, but you just didn't listen.

Just you wait and see, missing out on Faye Townsend, you're bound to regret it.

From now on, we are no longer friends.

Hunter Warren, I don't need a cold-hearted friend like you."

Henry Sullivan gave him a cold glance before leaving.

Hunter Warren raised an eyebrow, probably losing a childhood friend was the biggest loss from divorcing Faye Townsend.

Faye Townsend didn't know with what courage she left that corridor.

When she ca back to her senses, she was already on the bustling streets.

She looked around and finally sat down on the steps, covering her head with both hands.

She hated herself so much right now.

What did she have to do to get out of love with him?

Even just now, she had the urge to go up to him, grab his sleeve and beg him not to divorce her.

"Faye Townsend, sober up.

He has been in the sa bed with your best friend.

You were the last one to know.

He has never loved you, not once, you fool."
