"I’m tired, let sleep for another hour, wake up at ten."
"Aren’t you cold?"
"There’s heating, dummy." After saying that, he hung up the phone, leaving Jane Quinlan speechless. If you’re tired, why don’t you just go ho to sleep? Why follow her to the company?
Kay Forrest put down the phone and was about to try to catch so more sleep when he saw Xavier coming out of the elevator behind Eden Howard.
The two seed to be arguing about sothing. Probably because there weren’t many people in the parking lot at this ti, they argued quite carelessly.
Kay Forrest, always eager for excitent, rolled down a crack in the car window and lowered the seat so that every word from outside ca clearly into his ears.
Xavier grabbing Eden Howard’s hand: "I’ve apologized to you many tis already. What exactly do you want? Must we break up for you to be satisfied?"
"I’ve made myself very clear. I don’t want to be with a liar.
Xavier, you’re an outright liar, don’t you get that?"
"Liar? Speaking of which, you’re not much better than , are you?"
Eden Howard shouted angrily: "What do you an, Xavier? Make yourself clear. What does ’not much better than you’ an? Are you calling a liar?
Then tell , what have I lied to you about?"
"That morning, you’re the one who put up the photos on the wall, weren’t you?"
As soon as Xavier finished speaking, Eden Howard beca even angrier: "What nonsense are you spouting?
That Jane Quinlan is shaless. She offended soone and got exposed, and now you’re trying to pin it on ?
Who am I? I am a daughter of the Howard family; I would never stoop to such sneaky acts."
Xavier sneered: "Even if Jane Quinlan offended soone, she never lies.
She said she burned the photos, so they must be burned. Yet my photos were still there.
A while back, when you were staying at my place, did you rummage through my house?
You saw the photos I had kept, didn’t you?"
"That’s nonsense, Xavier. You say you don’t love that woman anymore, but in fact, you just can’t let go of her.
Otherwise, why would you believe she truly threw the photos away?"
Eden Howard’s words caused Xavier to frown: "It’s not about love; it’s because I understand Jane Quinlan.
I’ve known her for so many years, and she never lies."
"Ha, haven’t you ever thought that your trust in her is a form of love?
Because of your love for her, that’s why you distrust so much."
"Let tell you, the reason I don’t trust you is that I found an album that I haven’t touched for a long ti had been moved.
And the order of the photos inside was ssed up.
Later, I asked around at the nearby photo studios, and I found records of you having photos developed.
If not for that, I wouldn’t dare to be so certain in saying these things to you."
Hearing what Xavier said, Eden Howard’s face darkened even more.
"So what? Can’t I do that?
I’ve been deceived; can’t I expose the truth for all to see?
You and Jane Quinlan are both bastards, spinning around in circles.
I want revenge on you; is that not allowed?"
Eden Howard raised her hand towards Xavier’s face: "Let tell you, Xavier, I’ve had enough of your poverty.
Being with you, I’m becoming more and more like a beggar.
I want to break up with you; I want you out of my life.
Don’t talk to about how you can give a great future.
Just with you, a poor guy, you’ll never be able to rise above your station."
Xavier clenched his fist, looking at Eden Howard with resentnt: "Is that so? Since you no longer care about our past together.
Then perhaps I also shouldn’t care about my past feelings for you.
Your brother, our manager Howard, embezzling company funds and cooking the books - maybe I should just let that truth co to light."
Inside the car, Kay Forrest smiled slyly, thinking what a great drama this was.
