She struggled to wrap herself in the blanket as she got out of bed and walked around the room, but found nothing.

She opened the bedroom door, intending to check if her clothes were in the living room, but what she saw when she opened the door shocked her.

At so point, a small clothes rack had appeared at the bedroom door, and it was filled with dozens of seasonally appropriate outfits.

There was a small sticky note on the rack. She pulled it off and glanced at it; the handwriting was indeed beautiful.

’Your clothes were too shabby, so I threw them away.

These clothes were chosen according to my taste. Pick any outfit you like.

You don’t need to co to the office today. I told HR you’d be running errands for at the headquarters. I’ll co over for dinner tonight.’

She swallowed hard as she gazed at these beautiful clothes, feeling her heart burst with joy.

Kay Forrest really does spend money on won without a second thought.

It’s really... rare.

But how long will it take for her to wear all these clothes?

She picked out a black and white checkered autumn and winter dress and took a quick look at it - it was over three thousand.

Well, at least it’s not tens of thousands. She pursed her lips, let out a sigh of relief, turned back into the room, and changed her clothes.

After washing her face, she sat in front of the vanity mirror applying lotion.

But as she was applying it, her mind suddenly brought up a bizarre image.

She was crying and yelling at soone in the neighborhood, and Kay Forrest was holding her, telling her not to make a fuss...

She covered her lips with her hand, and finally shook her head. No, that’s not who she is.

She took a deep breath. Right, she shouldn’t think about that.

She was so hungry, she checked the fridge only to find it empty.

She couldn’t just starve, so she slung her bag over her shoulder and headed downstairs.

These past days, she hadn’t even noticed if there were any restaurants around.

Leaving the compound, all she saw were upscale restaurants, and she really didn’t want to splurge, so she turned back and walked to the supermarket across from the bus stop at the corner.

She bought so vegetables, at, and seasonings, returning ho with her hands full of bags.

After making and drinking so hangover soup, her head felt better and the nausea in her stomach eased a lot. Only when she finally felt completely relaxed, did she go to the kitchen to cook.

Since she wasn’t working today, she decided to treat her stomach well, as it had been many days since she last cooked.

Amidst the busy kitchen preparations, the doorbell rang just as she was finishing up.

She raised her eyebrow and turned off the stove, wondering who could be ringing the doorbell here.

It probably wasn’t Kay Forrest; he said he would co over for dinner in the evening.

She walked to the door and opened it. When she saw it was Kay Forrest standing there, she widened her eyes in surprise: "What brings you here so early?"

Kay Forrest casually lifted the lunch bag in his hand: "I figured you’d be up by now, so I ca to treat the stomach of the hardest working employee of the year."

Seeing the lunch he brought, Jane Quinlan turned back and pointed at the dining table: "Boss, couldn’t you have called before coming? I already finished cooking, okay?"

"How did you cook when there was nothing at ho?"

"I bought stuff from the supermarket, obviously."

Saying this, she already turned back to the kitchen and served the seaweed egg drop soup and sat down.

She was really hungry and didn’t feel like talking much.

Kay Forrest sniffed, "Does it sll good?"

"Can you even finish all this food by yourself?"

"If I can’t finish, I certainly won’t wait until evening. Do you want so?" she looked up at him.

"What do you think, am I here just to watch you eat? Go on, get a pair of chopsticks and bowls."

"No way, get them yourself." She wasn’t working today, at this mont she wasn’t an employee and he wasn’t the boss. Everyone is equal here, and she certainly wasn’t going to serve him.

Kay Forrest clicked his tongue twice - for a boss to be treated like this, it really devalues his status.

Coming over to join for a al was one thing, getting criticized was another.

He went to the kitchen to grab so bowls and chopsticks, sitting across from her, he tasted a mouthful of spicy stir-fried green bean shreds and his brows slightly raised: "Your cooking skills are pretty good, huh."

Jane Quinlan shrugged, naturally it was good, she had learned it since she was a child.

He examined the clothes she was wearing and his lips curled into a smile: "Didn’t expect these clothes to look rather good on you."

As he spoke, he pulled out a receipt from his pocket and handed it to her: "Here, this is the receipt for your clothes, totaling forty-seven thousand. These clothes are yours now, go and claim the expenses at the company later."

"Did you pick out these clothes?"

"Of course, I chose them according to your spending level, how thoughtful of , right?"

Thoughtful? If he hadn’t made her help out with drinking last night, she might have agreed with him, but now?

All she wanted to say to him were two words: "Get lost."

"That... I want to ask you sothing, you have to be honest."

"Ask." Kay Forrest kept eating, raising his eyebrows and looking at her.

"Last night... how did I get back?" She pursed her lips and watched him, slightly nervous.

"Who do you think would care enough to bring you back besides ?

Daisy Zenith? She was so drunk she couldn’t even find her way.

Your senior brother? Ha, he has a girlfriend, do you think it’s convenient for him to send you back?"

Jane Quinlan gave him a blank stare, just say it was you who brought back, so much unnecessary talk.

"Then my clothes... err," she sulked in silence for a mont: "Forget it, let’s just eat."

"I was the one who took them off."

She trembled, she already said forget it, yet this man really knows how to make things awkward.

It’s done, and he still dares to admit it so proudly, really... speechless.

"You should thank for being willing to take care of you and help you undress when you were drunk out of your mind."

She clenched her teeth, squeezing a few words through her teeth angrily: "I might as well go thank your ancestors."

"That’s cursing, you know. If you have a problem, co at ."

He clearly deserves to be scolded, doesn’t he? Just bringing her ho would have been enough, why bother with the clothes.

She even suspects... he might have been behaving indecently.

While she was busily thinking in her head, he had already tasted all the dishes.

The taste... is truly exceptional, he was eating joyfully: "Let’s team up from now on, you cook, I’ll pay."

Jane Quinlan slamd her chopsticks on the table and glared at him: "So you think having money is everything, right? With money, you can just order around, right?"

Just the place to vent her frustrations.

"Oh, you’re angry?"

"Shouldn’t I be?"

"Really petty, it’s just helps drink a few drinks, is it necessary? Since seeing you’ve been putting on a face, you should be more broad-minded."

"Let’s see if you wouldn’t get mad if I asked you to drink ten or eight bottles for , see how broad-minded you would be."

Kay Forrest chuckled: "Alright, alright, what’s there to be angry about.

I asked you to drink for , and when you couldn’t handle it anymore you’d just ask for my help.

Who would’ve thought you’d be so foolish to get drunk.

Plus, you’ve suffered, but I haven’t taken any advantage.

I haven’t even started billing you, so don’t act all wronged here."

"You billing ?" Jane Quinlan was annoyed, but wait... isn’t Kay Forrest implying sothing with his words?

"Did I do anything last night?"
