Faye wiped her tears, moved to the side, and glanced at her phone.

Seeing it was Hunter, she glanced awkwardly at Oliver.

Oliver raised his hand and ruffled her hair, "Answer it, no one would dare not to pick up a call in front of a friend."

Faye smiled. It wasn’t that she didn’t dare to answer; she just feared that Hunter might upset him.

She picked up the phone, and Hunter’s anxious voice ca from the other end, "I’m at Oliver Turner’s front door. How are you now?"

Faye smiled, "I’m great, having a heart-to-heart with Oliver. Since you’re here, wait for , I still have a few things to say to Oliver."

"Are you really okay?"

Oliver crossed his arms and spoke to her phone, "Even if Faye gets any thinner, I won’t eat her alive. Why be so petty?"

Faye chuckled into the phone, "I’ll hang up for now, I’ll be right out."

After hanging up, Faye looked at him, "Why be so cold to Hunter? Haven’t we already made up?"

"I’ve made up with you, but I never said I’d be friends with Hunter."

Faye laughed, "So, what then? Do you plan to keep stuck between you two?"

"What’s there to be stuck about? I’m not going to see him often anyway."

Oliver casually leaned back, "I gave you up to him; I’m practically his benefactor.

If it weren’t for my help, would he be this happy now?"

Faye raised an eyebrow and nodded, "You always have your reasons. I’ve got nothing to say."

She then grasped his hand again, "Promise , from today onwards, no more feeling down.

I really couldn’t handle seeing you like you were before.

If there’s ever another misunderstanding between us, let’s talk it out face-to-face, okay?"

Oliver sighed slightly, gripping her shoulder tightly as he looked into her expectant eyes, "Call Clara soon; ask her to co back for a al. She can’t just cut ties because she’s married, after all... I did raise her for twenty years."

Faye nodded, "Alright, I’ll call her tonight. Since you didn’t answer my question earlier, I’ll take your silence as agreent."

She stood up, "I’m heading back now. When I go downstairs, I’ll have the maid prepare you so dinner.

You’ve drunk so much tonight, eat sothing before you sleep, or else your stomach won’t hold up."

Oliver watched her with a smile but said nothing.

As Faye left, he didn’t see her off. She went downstairs, instructed the maid to prepare dinner for Oliver, and then left.

Outside the main gate, she saw Hunter’s car parked there as expected.

She walked over, and Hunter got out, coming forward to hold her shoulders and check her closely, "Are you alright?"

"Stop worrying for nothing. I’m really fine. Wait for a bit. I’ll ride with you."

She returned to her own car, instructed the chauffeur to head to Shian Road first, then got into Hunter’s car.

"I was in a eting when I saw your ssage, and I couldn’t even focus on the eting.

Recently, Oliver has been acting like a madman. I was worried you’d be in danger, so I rushed over to find you."

Faye nodded, "Oliver’s mood indeed hasn’t been great lately.

But he wouldn’t hurt . We’ve known each other for so many years, after all."

"On the way here, I called Owen, and he confird he saw Oliver at the bar with you.

He’s puzzled, though, wondering why you were with Oliver after you’d left."

Faye smiled but didn’t respond.

"What did you two talk about? You seed like you were in a good mood just now."

Faye reached out and held his hand on the steering wheel with a smile.

Hunter looked at her smile, a bit puzzled, "Why are you smiling so much?"

"From now on, Oliver won’t act up again.

We’ve talked things through, and we’ll still be good friends.

He’ll be fine and won’t make worry anymore."

"Hearing you say that, I’m actually a bit worried."

Faye pouted at him, "What’s there to worry about?"

"You two are friends again, so shouldn’t I worry he might try to co between us?"

Faye pretended to think he was right and nodded, "Hmm... You’re absolutely right.

So, you’ll have to be extra good to from now on.

Oliver is quite patient, you know.

If you’re not good to , he might just seize the opportunity."

Hunter turned to her with a mischievous smile, "Haven’t I been good enough?

How about we solidify our relationship tonight?

Which move do you think will work best? Pick your favorite position."
