At this mont, outside the revolving door of the restaurant, there was only one impeccably dressed man standing there in a suit.
She tilted her head slightly to size him up—sharp facial features, very fair skin, and his height... indeed, very tall.
She gave a faint smile. Based on first impressions of appearance, he’d score a solid ninety.
Upon seeing them, Sean Lennox quickly walked over to Clara’s left side and offered his arm to support Faye Townsend: "Let help you, sis-in-law."
"Alright," Faye released Clara from her hold.
Clara, feeling a bit shy being helped by a stranger, awkwardly said, "Hehe... hello."
Sean Lennox pressed his lips together and gave her a warm smile. "Hello, Clara. I’m Sean Lennox."
Clara? His voice is nice too. Add another five points.
Clara pursed her lips with a slight smile. Calling her nickna on a first eting, well, that’s... sothing.
"You two go on in first. I’ll wait here for Hunter Warren."
"Second Master is coming too?" Sean Lennox sounded a bit surprised.
"Mm, he said he’d co to lend you guys a hand."
"Then we’ll go in first. Sis-in-law, you should co in soon as well."
"Alright, we’re not sitting with you anyway once we go in."
Clara imdiately turned back to look at her.
She had initially wanted to exchange glances with Faye, since she was feeling sowhat nervous.
But Sean Lennox stood close beside her, keeping her firmly within his reach, and nodded to Faye. "Sure, dinner’s on tonight. Order whatever you’d like."
"It better be on you."
Watching the two of them head in, Faye strolled leisurely to the steps to wait for Hunter Warren.
Sean Lennox helped Clara into her seat. Clara felt a little awkward, yet Sean Lennox maintained an unfaltering cheerful smile.
"Is your leg feeling any better?"
Clara looked up at him. His words didn’t feel like they ca from soone she had just t, but rather... from an old friend reunited after a long ti.
"Not much better yet."
Sean Lennox nodded. "Then starting tomorrow, I’ll pick you up and drop you off at work."
"Uh?" Clara froze. Is this what blind dates are like?
Sean Lennox pressed his lips together, holding back a faint smile. "I said, starting tomorrow, I’ll pick you up for work."
"Uh... no need, I have a driver."
"I’m pretty good at driving, so you don’t need to worry."
As he spoke, Sean Lennox poured her a glass of red wine.
"I... can’t drink alcohol."
"That’s fine. You can just look at it. How about juice?"
"Sure."
"What’s your favorite fruit?"
Clara’s heart fluttered slightly. This guy’s way of making conversation is... a bit all over the place.
"Cherries."
Sean Lennox raised his hand to summon the waiter. "One freshly squeezed cherry juice, please."
For a mont, Clara felt as though she’d imagined it—this didn’t feel like a blind date at all. It was as though he was treating her like a girlfriend.
"Mr. Lennox, I..."
"Call Sean. Fair is fair—you should call by my first na too." Sean Lennox interrupted her with a smile. "That’s not too much to ask, is it?"
An ask? This was clearly a demand.
Wasn’t this supposed to be a blind date?
Why did everything feel so strange?
Feeling a bit uncomfortable, Clara reached out to pour herself a glass of water, but Sean Lennox was a step ahead of her, picking up the thermos.
"These kinds of things are better handled by n."
Clara licked her lips and let out a breath quietly. Why did it feel so... overwhelming?
She wasn’t normally soone who got tongue-tied around n.
No, she couldn’t just keep letting herself be overshadowed like this.
Once the water was poured, Clara picked up the glass and took two sips. "Faye ntioned that you’ve t before?"
"Yes, I saw you once at another company’s event. But it seems like you don’t rember ."
Clara discreetly pressed her lips together. That was not a great question—felt like a slap to her own face.
"I have a bit of face blindness."
"Next ti we et, make sure you recognize . Otherwise, I’ll be very sad."
Next ti? Clara hesitated, looking at him.
"You don’t think we won’t et again, do you?"
She felt a sudden jolt inside. Could it be that they really would et again?
Sean Lennox smiled and said, "We will et again. In fact, we’ll get married. I’ll beco your husband. So, you’d better start getting used to now."
Clara was completely dumbfounded. Was she really here for a blind date today?
Or was this... so kind of indirect marriage proposal?
"Uh... excuse , Mr. Lennox, I’m just curious... today is indeed the first ti we’ve officially t, right?"
Clara couldn’t help but wonder—was this a prank?
It was only their first eting. She barely knew him!
And yet, he was telling a woman he just t that they’d get married in the future?
"Yes, it’s the first ti you’ve officially t ."
"So... it’s not just misunderstanding, right?"
