It’s better to let her stay here and study peacefully than to watch her suffer more because of .

But I didn’t expect that she’d endure so much hardship over the years.

If you’re so capable, why not make her happier?

Faye Townsend’s life in the past was half supported by love.

What makes you think she could be happier away from ?

If she had really forgotten , she could have moved on to a new relationship in these six years.

Why didn’t she do that?

Is it because Oliver Turner isn’t outstanding enough? Or because other n don’t attract her?

No, it’s because Faye, like my father-in-law, is a person who deeply cherishes love.

For soone who cherishes love, moving on from a relationship is not easy.

Even if this relationship only brought her scars, there are monts when she recalls the beautiful parts of it.

I admit, I’m a jerk.

In the past, I didn’t bring happiness to Faye.

But not anymore, I’ve completely woken up.

I won’t... I absolutely won’t let go of Faye’s hand again, I want to give her happiness.

No matter if it’s you, or anyone else, even if it’s the Emperor of Heaven.

As long as I’m not dead, I’m not going to abandon her and the children again."

"Ha! You think anyone would still believe what you say?

Seeing how destitute Faye looked when she first arrived in Switzerland... Hunter Warren, anyone with a bit of conscience wouldn’t let their closest friends go through such a hellish life.

You’re right, maybe Faye still loves you.

But what does that change?

Can it erase the scars of your past together?

No, it cannot. Since it can’t, what right do you have to disturb her hard-earned peace?

If you can’t bring her happiness, don’t boast about it.

You want to give her happiness, what do you have to offer her happiness?"

"Talking to soone like you, there’s really no point in more than half a sentence.

Forget it, I’m too lazy to explain to you.

If you really want to challenge , bring it on, I’ll be ready anyti."

Hunter finished speaking and stubbed out his cigarette, intending to leave.

But Kay Forrest was relentless; he wanted to protect his childhood friend.

"Soone like ? What kind of person am I? You’d better make it clear.

Let tell you, Hunter Warren, don’t get too arrogant; this is Switzerland, not Eldoria."

"That’s why I say you’re hopeless because you’re afraid of your dad, hiding in Switzerland like a Black Turtle.

Honestly, I really look down on people like you.

If it weren’t for the fact that you and Faye grew up together, I wouldn’t even bother with you."

Hearing this, Kay Forrest got angry; he grabbed Hunter and shoved him.

Hunter turned back and threw a punch at Kay.

In fighting, Kay Forrest never admitted defeat, so he lunged forward and swung a punch.

The two went back and forth, neither willing to concede.

Faye stayed in the ward for a while, and still, the two n hadn’t returned.

Miya asked, "Mommy, why haven’t Uncle Hunter and my dad co back yet?

They’ve been gone for a while now."

Faye thought for a mont and rubbed her temple, "Miya, how about Mommy goes out to take a look? I’ll be back very soon."

"Okay." Miya nodded, "Quickly bring them back to play with ; just listening to stories is so boring."

"Alright." Faye stood up and quickly left the ward.

She made a round along the corridor and couldn’t find those two.

Could they have gone downstairs?

She headed towards the elevator, just about to go downstairs when she heard shouts coming from the stairwell.

It sounded like Kay Forrest’s voice, so she backed away and walked to the stairway, looking down and was stunned.

Those two n were fighting below the stairs.

When she saw them, it was Hunter sitting on Kay, swinging his fist.

She was startled and shoved the door, shouting, "Hunter, what are you doing?"

Both n turned their heads at the sound, and Faye’s head ached at the sight.

Two otherwise fine middle-aged n covered with injuries.

Kay’s mouth even had a hint of blood.

Seeing Faye arrive, Hunter paused his punches, Kay pushed him off.

Judging by his pushing, they must have been too tired to fight anymore.

Hunter sat on the ground, left leg stretched out, right leg bent, with his right arm resting on his knee, looking equally exhausted.

Faye rushed down the stairs to help Kay up.

Kay glared at Hunter, "Today, you were lucky because of Faye. Otherwise, I’d have wasted you."

"It’s not certain who would’ve wasted whom."

"Then let’s find out." Kay said, leaning forward to grab Hunter’s collar.

"Enough from you two." Faye grabbed Kay’s wrist tightly.

"You’re too old to be fighting, aren’t you two embarrassed? Who started it?"

"He did."

"He did."

They both pointed at each other simultaneously.

Faye’s sharp gaze shifted between them: "What? After all these years, you’ve learned to shirk responsibility, huh?"
