Darnley covered his private parts, looking at Clara warily, "Sister Clara, you’re being too enthusiastic; you’ll scare the n away."

Clara was amused by Darnley’s words and couldn’t help but laugh until she was out of breath, "Faye, I’m so envious of you. How did you end up raising such a little treasure? Who does this kid take after, being so funny?"

Faye Townsend felt a bit embarrassed, "Maybe he takes after . My parents always said I was a clever little devil when I was a kid."

"Anyway, having such a son is really a blessing. I’m so envious of you.

Darnley, do you want sister to help you take a bath?"

"No, no, no, sister, please leave. Otherwise, I’ll be shy."

Clara laughed and turned to leave.

Not long after, Faye ca out holding Darnley, who was already in his pajamas.

After putting Darnley to sleep, Faye noticed Clara’s room still had the lights on, so she stood by the door and knocked. Clara turned her head and said with a smile, "Co on in, I left the door open just for you."

Faye Townsend walked in with a smile, "Your words sound so suggestive."

Clara laughed, "I can’t sleep. Can we talk for a bit more?"

"Sure." Faye sat down on the armchair beside the bed.

Clara said in frustration, "You know what? I’m spending the night out, and Oliver doesn’t even know.

I’ve had my phone in my hand the whole ti, but it hasn’t rung once. Honestly, I know I’m not that important to him.

But... I still feel hurt. Is my heart too weak?"

Faye leaned her head on her hand, looking at her, "Clara... actually... you should find a nice guy to marry."

Clara raised an eyebrow, "Right?"

Faye nodded, "While you still have the choice, you should make yourself happy, rather than being so uncertain about a man like you are now.

I’ve experienced the anxiety of gains and losses; for others, it doesn’t cost anything, but it’s painful for you.

Think about it: if Oliver really saw you as a partner for life, how could he not know you’re not ho?

When a man cares about you, he’ll know everything you do, and vice versa.

You used to say you were gambling your life on a relationship that doesn’t belong to you, and you were so right. You’re bound to lose everything in this emotion. So I really suggest you marry while you’re still free to choose."

Clara smiled serenely, "It’s not that easy, you know."

Faye couldn’t help but smile, "You’re right; it’s not that simple. I feel like I’m giving empty advice."

"You’re not giving empty advice; you’re using your hard-earned lessons to remind . But I’m stubborn, won’t learn till I hit the wall.

Really though, Faye, if Oliver is destined to marry a woman other than , I hope that woman is you.

I firmly believe that no woman... would be willing to let stay by Oliver’s side, even as his niece, it’s impossible.

If I really left Oliver, I wouldn’t know what to do."

Faye pursed her lips, "Forget it. Stop thinking about these mind-draining things. It’s late; let’s rest early."

"Mm."

The next day, when Faye went to work, she dropped Clara off at the door of BlueHorizon Group.

Watching her go inside, Faye deliberately looked around for a while but didn’t see anyone stalking Clara.

Once at the company, Faye entered a frenzy of busyness, leaving her no ti or heart to think about anything else.

Morning etings, seeing clients, and in the afternoon, listening to reports and eting clients again.

Faye felt like a wind-up doll, constantly busy and dizzy from running in circles.

A little after three, she saw off the clients and finally had a mont to herself in the office to drink a cup of tea when the phone rang.

It was Danielle calling, and Faye answered to hear Danielle’s anxious voice.

"Faye, sothing big happened! Did you know Zenia was arrested?"

"Zenia was arrested? Why?"

"It’s been a few days. I only found out today when I called her.

Her phone was answered by the police.

I heard she misappropriated funds from the Warren Group under Second Master Warren. Isn’t Warren Group’s president her boyfriend? Oh no, he’s your ex-husband, right?"

Faye was about to go crazy, wondering why she even thought of attending that class reunion, which only brought trouble.

"Faye, why aren’t you talking?"

"Danielle, what’s the point of telling all this?"

"Faye, we’re all classmates. I heard you two were very close at school.

If that’s the case, why make it hard for each other? Can’t you help her?

I see Second Master Warren still has feelings for you. Could you please ask for leniency for Zenia?

She’s still so young; if this continues, her whole life will be ruined."

Faye raised an eyebrow, "Danielle, I think you’re asking the wrong person. I’ve already severed ties with Second Master Warren. Asking to talk to him is less effective than having Zenia plead with him herself.

I’m a bit busy here, so I won’t chat any longer. I’ll hang up now."

Faye cleanly hung up the phone. She was a bit bewildered that Hunter Warren would send soone to jail again?

She had seen such tactics many tis around him back then. She just didn’t expect him to do that to Zenia.

Thinking about what Zenia had done, Faye shook her head. She couldn’t do anything about it.

In the future, she wouldn’t get involved in anything to do with Hunter Warren and those around him.

Once four o’clock hit, Faye packed up her files from the desk. She left the office with her bag; today was Darnley’s first day at kindergarten.

She promised Darnley to pick him up early.

Driving to the kindergarten entrance, it was already crowded with cars picking up children.

Faye parked her car and glanced in the rearview mirror, spotting a black Audi parked behind.

Most parents got out of their cars after school ended, but there was no movent from the person in the Audi behind.

She didn’t think much of it, waiting at the kindergarten entrance for Darnley. When he ca out, he didn’t seem very happy.

After most children had left, the teacher called out to her.

"Darnley’s mom, perhaps because it’s his first ti attending classes dostically, Darnley wasn’t quite in the zone today. I hope you can communicate with him more at ho so he can adjust to the local teaching environnt sooner."

Faye pursed her lips and smiled, "Thank you, teacher. Co on, Darnley, say goodbye to the teacher."

Darnley, lacking enthusiasm, bowed to the teacher, "Goodbye, teacher."

"Mm, goodbye, Darnley."

Faye got Darnley in the car. Most vehicles had already left, and she asked gently, "Darnley, what’s wrong? Was there a problem today?"
