Yi Luowa pursed her lips and chuckled, "I really don’t have any particular cravings when it cos to food."
Tong Yao smiled lovingly. This child, the more she looked at her, the more she liked her. "I heard you beat Nuo’er during the Xiawu Highway Race. He didn’t co after you throwing a tantrum, did he? If he dares to bother you, just tell Auntie, I’ll take care of him for you!"
Yi Luowa finally believed Tong Airui’s words. His mom really was easy to get along with. Emboldened now, she smiled sweetly at Tong Yao and said, "Even if he bullies , I’ve got my own way to deal with him—and I can make him completely concede without complaint, so there’s no need to trouble Auntie."
"Tell , how do you deal with him?" Tong Yao asked with keen interest.
"I’ve issued him a challenge letter—et at the racetrack. I’m going to take all the trophies; we’ll see if he still dares to challenge after that!"
"Rui’er told that you’re a skilled driver. He said as long as you compete, you’ll definitely take the championship." Tong Yao chuckled, holding her hand as they walked out of the elevator.
Yi Luowa kept her head down, feeling a pang of guilt, and said softly, "I can’t do anything for my second uncle... the only thing I can do is fulfill his dream."
"What a filial and good child." Tong Yao tilted her head to look at her. "Actually, just being by your second uncle’s side makes him happier than anything else you could do for him. As people get older, they need soone by their side."
"Mm!" Yi Luowa puffed up her cheeks resolutely. "That’s why I’ve decided—I won’t search for my biological parents, and I’ll stay by my second uncle’s side like this."
Tong Yao laughed, "You know, finding your birth parents and taking care of your second uncle aren’t mutually exclusive. Auntie has two dads and two moms, and I feel very lucky."
Yi Luowa looked up at Tong Yao. "Auntie, are you suggesting I should search for them?"
"All I can say is—it’s up to fate!" Tong Yao smiled affectionately. Having gone through similar experiences herself, she deeply understood Yi Luowa’s emotions. Which child wouldn’t want to know who their real parents were? She could tell that Yi Luowa’s heart was conflicted. Tong Yao smiled and led her by the hand to the car. After driving out of the hospital gates, five bodyguard cars followed behind, their hazard lights flashing, forming an impressive convoy heading toward the Imperial Hotel.
Once they arrived at the hotel, Tong Yao handed the nu to Yi Luowa. "Auntie doesn’t know what you like to eat, so why don’t you pick the dishes."
Yi Luowa laughed and handed the nu back to Tong Yao. "Auntie, I honestly eat anything. Just pick dishes based on everyone’s preferences."
Tong Yao chuckled, "Your second uncle always says he’s spoiled you, but I think he’s raised you very well!"
"Heehee..." Yi Luowa covered her mouth and laughed. "Auntie, I could slip up and reveal my true nature at any mont."
Tong Yao looked at the mischievous young girl in front of her and couldn’t help but laugh aloud. Turning her head slightly, she addressed the waiter, "One lobster, one plate of stir-fried shredded potatoes with vinegar, and the rest will be the usual dishes from our nu. Also, pack up four bowls of bird’s nest soup for ."
The waiter acknowledged and left.
"Auntie... You knew about that too?" Yi Luowa looked at Tong Yao with suspicion.
Tong Yao smiled and nodded, "Mm. They all told ."
Yi Luowa grinned broadly, debating if she should confess about accidentally injuring Tong Airui. As she mulled over it, Tong Airui’s call ca in.
Yi Luowa hesitated for a mont before picking up the phone. "Master, what are your orders?"
Tong Yao, sitting off to the side, watching the little girl formally call her son ’Master,’ nearly burst out laughing.
"Save so food; I’ll be back later," Tong Airui’s cheerful voice ca through the phone.
Yi Luowa froze for a second, "You’re not eating with Uncle Leng and the others?"
"I’ll eat a few bites and head over," he replied.
Yi Luowa sneaked a glance at Tong Yao and murmured, "Master, do you want to talk to Auntie?"
Tong Yao took in everything happening and smiled comfortably.
Tong Airui chuckled, "You’re surprisingly thoughtful! Then ask my mom if she’d like to take my call."
Before Yi Luowa could even ask, Tong Yao spoke first, "No need; we’ll chat when he gets back. You two talk for now—I’m going to go greet your grandfather and the others."
With that, Tong Yao stepped out, leaving Yi Luowa awkwardly clutching the phone.
"Why didn’t you call Auntie directly? Why call instead?" Yi Luowa asked with a hint of reproach.
"I hadn’t seen you all afternoon; I wanted to hear your voice." Tong Airui laughed. "My mom isn’t the type to be stingy, don’t overthink it."
"I don’t want to hear your voice anyway!" Yi Luowa pouted. "In such hot weather, how can you handle it?"
Tong Airui burst out laughing, "You say one thing but an another. You don’t want to hear my voice, yet you’re worried about ?"
Yi Luowa pursed her lips, "You’re my master! If I don’t care about you, who else would I care about?"
"That’s not quite right," Tong Airui said seriously. "You should say I’m your man. If you don’t care about , who else would you care about?"
Yi Luowa frowned. "Quit joking around! Auntie already misunderstood and thought there was sothing going on between us. By the way, Tong Airui, I plan to confess everything to Auntie soon. That way, both of us won’t have to deal with this awkwardness."
"Don’t tell my mom; she’ll just worry. I’m feeling much better now," Tong Airui glanced around before continuing, "My mom didn’t misunderstand us. We’ve already shared a bed together—if you don’t beco her daughter-in-law, who else will?"
