Yi Luowa angrily closed her eyes, feeling a strong premonition that she was destined to be completely at the rcy of this beast in her lifeti!
In her heart, Yi Luowa sneered at herself: You already sense you’ll be eaten alive by him, so why don’t you just muster up so courage and outright refuse him?
The little figure in her mind dabbed gently at her teary eyes with a handkerchief, saying pitifully, "This concubine cannot do it!"
"Why can’t you?" Yi Luowa curled her lip.
"Because you secretly like him in your heart, yet you’re forcing to refuse him. What kind of justice is that!" The little figure trembled while pointing an accusing finger, clutching her tiny handkerchief.
Yi Luowa couldn’t help but stifle a laugh; hearing Tong Airui’s steady breathing nearby, she hastily covered her mouth.
Can’t sleep. What to do? Sneak a peek!
To find the best angle to peek, Yi Luowa shifted her body in Tong Airui’s arms. Seeing that he didn’t react, she began boldly staring at him openly.
Light from the corridor filtered through the curtain, highlighting the sharp, defined contours of his side profile even more.
Yi Luowa let her gaze slide down bit by bit from his long, thick eyelashes to his graceful nose, then down to his lips, pink as cherry blossoms. His mouth was slightly curved upward, as if he were dreaming of sothing amusing.
Feeling uneasy, Yi Luowa licked her dry lips, but when she saw his Adam’s apple move faintly, she quickly shut her eyes.
Tong Airui exhaled deeply—finally, she wasn’t staring at him. Just earlier, he felt as though her gaze was setting his entire body on fire.
A mont later, the little girl’s steady breathing ca. Tong Airui opened his eyes and tilted his head to look at her.
It’s said that won look their prettiest under moonlight, one by one stunning. Yi Luowa’s face, however, was breathtaking no matter day or night.
Tong Airui suppressed the surge of restlessness in his heart, closing his eyes again—he feared that if he kept staring any longer, he might truly lose control.
By early morning, when Yi Luowa woke up, Tong Airui was already gone. The little girl curled her lips and sat up.
After washing up, Yi Luowa lazily wandered to the special care room, only to find it completely empty! The sight gave her quite a fright.
Outside in the corridor, one of the Yi family’s bodyguards walked over and pointed to Room 909, saying, "Miss, Second Master, Ao Xiang, and Ao Lie have all been moved into the sa room."
"It’s not like we’re short on money—why did they all move into one room?" Yi Luowa pouted her lips and walked toward Room 909.
Once inside, she imdiately understood Ao Xiang and Ao Lie’s ticulous reasoning. The brothers’ hospital beds were arranged in the outer room, while Second Uncle’s was in the inner room. This setup ant anyone wanting to visit Yi Weiyang would have to pass under their watchful gaze.
"Feeling better?" Yi Luowa asked Ao Xiang with genuine concern as she approached his bed.
"Nothing serious anymore. This morning, Ao Lie even pushed around for a stroll," Ao Xiang chuckled. "Second Master looks good today, too. How about you?"
"I had my stitches taken out yesterday, and walking doesn’t hurt my leg anymore," Yi Luowa replied with a smile. "Where’s Ao Lie? The injured one is still running about!"
"I’m not running—I’m here!" Ao Lie peeked his head out from the inner room.
"Not being in bed is running about!" Yi Luowa huffed, then walked into the inner room. Seeing her Second Uncle sitting upright by the bedside, she was flustered. "Second Uncle, why are you up already?!"
Yi Weiyang chuckled and said, "The doctor said I could sit for a little while. Luowa, we really have a lot of people to thank this ti. Without Dr. Mike, I wouldn’t have recovered so quickly."
"How do we thank them? Tell , and I’ll handle it," Yi Luowa said with a laugh as she sat down. "How about gifting each of them a sports car? Our family doesn’t lack those!"
"If you can get them to accept it, then we’ll give," Yi Weiyang replied with a laugh, pulling Yi Luowa’s hand. "Did you see Airui this morning?"
Yi Luowa’s heart skipped a beat, but she forced herself to remain calm as she replied, "No, I didn’t. Why?"
"It looks like he didn’t sleep well yesterday. His white of his eyes were red. Go check on him later," Yi Weiyang instructed.
Yi Luowa pursed her lips. Didn’t sleep well?
"He went ho to rest after helping move to this room in the morning," Yi Weiyang added.
"Oh, then I’ll wait until he wakes up before visiting. Otherwise, I’d just disturb him," Yi Luowa muttered to herself, perplexed. That guy seed to sleep perfectly fine last night, didn’t he?
After having breakfast with Yi Weiyang, Yi Luowa finally headed over to Tong Airui’s place, carrying the breakfast Second Uncle insisted on sending. She paused by the window to peek inside.
Seeing Yuan Hang busy tying a core-support belt around him, Yi Luowa hurriedly entered. "Are you heading out?"
"Mm," Tong Airui turned his head to glance at her.
Yi Luowa instantly caught sight of the bloodshot veins in his eyes. "You didn’t sleep well last night?"
Tong Airui sighed. "Last night, a little monkey slept beside —kicking and smacking all night. I was tortured alive."
Yi Luowa pursed her lips and turned to Yuan Hang. "Did you sleep with him last night?"
Yuan Hang laughed and shook his head. "Not . I’m curious who the little monkey was too."
Yi Luowa flashed a sheepish smile. "Master, since that little monkey was so naughty, you shouldn’t sleep with her tonight!"
"No way, it’s a must. Tonight, I’m kicking her back," Tong Airui replied with a mischievous grin directed at her. "I’m heading to the camp this morning, having lunch with Uncle Leng and the national team leaders. I’ll be back by two in the afternoon."
"Can you handle it?" Yi Luowa asked worriedly, glancing at the core-support belt wrapped around his waist.
