Yuan Hang asked in a deep voice, "What characteristics?"

"Close to eighty years old, worked in the royal palace of country R earlier in life. That’s all I know for now. If there’s any new information, I’ll let you know."

"Alright!"

Yi Luowa, seeing him put down the phone, stood up. "Since you don’t need any help from , I’ll go to the hall to check on the kids."

Tong Airui asked jealously, "To check on the kids or that pretty boy?"

"With you as the pretty boy here, I can’t muster the energy to look at anyone else." Yi Luowa tiptoed and kissed his cheek. "He’s been helping us watch the kids all this ti. Now that I’m back, it’d be a bit unreasonable if I don’t check on them."

Tong Airui pointed to the car door with a stern face.

Yi Luowa laughed, "I knew my husband was the most understanding."

"Cut it out, go on! I’ll wait for more news from both sides."

Yi Luowa got out of the car laughingly and just as she entered the hall, she heard laughter.

"Little bunny, open the door, Mommy wants to co in."

"No, no!"

"Not bad performance! Tomorrow we’ll rehearse sothing a bit more difficult, take a ten-minute break, then let’s learn sothing from books, how about it?"

"Okay—"

"Uncle, what will we perform tomorrow?"

"What we perform tomorrow will be decided by one of you, but the prerequisite is that only those who learn well earn this privilege. Do you agree?"

"Yes—"

Yi Luowa stood by the door, smirking contently. You have to hand it to him, Ke Jingran does know his stuff.

Ke Jingran, usually very confident, turned his head awkwardly when he saw Yi Luowa enter.

Yi Luowa smiled gently, never having seen him this shy before. Perhaps the change in her status took him so ti to adjust to.

Blushing, Ke Jingran said to the kids, "Let’s go upstairs and learn so academic courses!"

"Let’s go~" Dabao and Erbao led a group of younger brothers up the stairs energetically.

Ke Jingran smiled at Yi Luowa, then followed the kids upstairs.

With a chuckle, Qiqi said, "Joyina did a great thing hiring this teacher! Look at Dabao and Erbao, even at their age they still enjoy running around with little kids under his watch."

"Regardless of their age, they’re still children," Yi Luowa smiled, taking a seat. "What’s up with Ke Jingran? It’s not like this is our first eting, yet he’s acting all shy like a young girl."

"That’s just him, blushing whenever he sees won. We work together every day, you know. Sotis, if we stare into each other’s eyes for too long, he turns red too."

As Joyina finished speaking, a large hand landed on her head, "Why are you staring at him for nothing?"

Joyina shook her head, "Because of acting! Stop ssing with my hair, it’s getting all ssed up."

Mi Chenshuo ssed with her hair even more, "From now on, you should work behind the scenes and act less."

"I wasn’t planning to act anymore, even without your say," Joyina slapped his hand away. "Don’t provoke my temper; if I get furious, you deal with the consequences."

Yi Luowa smiled helplessly. In this family, every man seed overly jealous.

During lunch, Ke Jingran finally brought the kids downstairs. To ensure he ate well, Yi Luowa had the n accompany him for lunch, while the won and children went to the side room.

In the afternoon, news arrived from Sanjiazhuo. Thousands of rcenaries were beaten into a retreat by the God Eagles and the Teng family rcenaries, leading to Sanjiazhuo’s demise.

Upon hearing this news, Tong Airui didn’t smile. The downfall of Sanjiazhuo was inevitable, but he was most worried about Mi Chenxuan.

Yi Luowa noticed his moodiness but didn’t say much, quietly staying by his side.

By evening, Tong Airui finally couldn’t hold out any longer and rested his head on Yi Luowa’s lap, falling asleep.

Yi Luowa gently stroked his hair, her eyes fixed on the screen, as she awaited news for him.

The clock ticked away. Half an hour later, a small red dot appeared on the screen, followed by tens, hundreds, thousands of them flooding the screen.

Less than five minutes later, blue and yellow dots appeared among the red ones, gathering together as if celebrating sothing.

"Beep beep..." The phone Tong Airui had been holding buzzed.

Tong Airui sat up abruptly, glanced at the number on the phone, then at the big screen before answering.

"Fourth brother, we won!" Mi Chenxuan’s laughter ca through the phone.

Tong Airui raised an eyebrow slightly, "I know. Any survivors?"

"None..."

Tong Airui asked grimly, "Why turn off the sensors?"

"The battle was too fierce. I’ll explain once I return why we turned off the sensors."

"Then get back sooner!"

"Yes, sir!"

Tong Airui, with a faint smile, hung up the phone, used the remote to turn off all the car equipnt, and took Yi Luowa’s hand as they got out of the car.

"Wife, we can finally get a good night’s sleep."

"You really need a good rest now," Yi Luowa frowned slightly. "Husband, although this battle was thrilling, solving the problem in such a short ti, would you call this a miracle?"

"It’s not a miracle. It’s just that Old Eight commanded well, and he was lucky. Our base’s weapons were superior. Had Sanjiazhuo’s weapons arrived, the battle could’ve dragged on. You know, dad once fought a desert war and was trapped in the desert for a month."

"I’ve heard mom tell that story. If dad knew, he’d surely be thrilled."

"Let’s save it for when dad returns. I’ve lifted a heavy burden off my chest. No matter what, we got back the money, trashed their lair, and with Sanjiazhuo gone, there’s no one to compete with uncle for business."

"At these tis, you need to be even more vigilant. With Bagan Base uprooted, the one behind it all could go crazy, and I’m worried about his extre reactions."

"My only concern is if he doesn’t react!"

Yi Luowa was taken aback, then laughed, "So you have ulterior motives."

Tong Airui chuckled, "If I can’t find him, I’ll force him out. You’re right, as long as he’s out there, we’re at risk."

"I hope it’s as you wish, but I feel a person who has been dormant for so long would have imnse patience beyond ordinary people."

"This was his last base. Even if he has people left, they’re just scattered units. After planning for so many years, to lose everything in an instant, if it were , I’d certainly have so reaction."

Saying this, Tong Airui ruffled her hair, "Let’s not brood over this. We’ll just wait and see."

"That’s all we can do." Yi Luowa sighed, following him into the hall.

Tong Aino, seeing her brother and sister-in-law enter, quickly asked, "Brother, how’s Old Eight doing now?"

Tong Airui subtly curled his lips, "Old Eight won a great victory, and he’ll be back soon."

"Really!" Joyina smiled as she ran over.

Tong Airui nodded, "And another piece of good news, the Sanjiazhuo situation is resolved too, so no one’s competing with uncle anymore."

Tong Aino gave him a thumbs up, "Good job!"

Tong Airui glanced at him, "I’m going to take a nap; don’t call for dinner."

"Go on, you haven’t rested well since you ca back." Qiqi nudged Yi Luowa, "You should rest too. We’ve got the house covered."

Yi Luowa glanced up at the third floor, "The kids..."

Joyina laughed, "Luowa, go take a nap. You’re so tired your eyes are red. The kids are all for Ke Jingran now, they don’t even bother with us."

"You did find a good teacher!" Yi Luowa wanted to chat a bit more, but Tong Airui pulled her hand and led her upstairs.

Just as Tong Airui finished changing clothes, Uncle Che called.

"Dad..."

Long Che laughed and scolded, "You brat, can’t even rest properly at ho, kicking up such a fuss."

"I had no choice." Tong Airui pulled up the covers and got into bed, "Who couldn’t keep their mouth shut and told you? Now you and mom are all worried too."

"Who told isn’t important. I called just to let you know, your mom and I are returning tomorrow. The day after, your grandparents, aunt, and uncle are coming back as well."

Tong Airui was stunned, "Why are grandma and grandpa returning too?"

"You stirred up a hornet’s nest, and in tis like these, our family should stay together to fend off external threats."

Tong Airui gestured for Yi Luowa to get into bed, and once she did, he smiled and said, "Dad, I don’t think we need to be so tense. No matter how capable he is, or how far-reaching his claws, I won’t let him lay a finger on you all."

"Do as I say!"

"Alright, as you say. Dad, I’ve been awake day and night. Can I catch so sleep? I’ll pick you up at the airport tomorrow."

"Beep beep..." The dial tone cut the conversation short.

Tong Airui chuckled helplessly, "The old man sure has a fiery temper, to dare hang up on his son!"
