Yan Zi laughingly picked her up from the toilet, "Little rascal, I bet your grandpa taught you this too!"
"Hehe... I’m not telling you!" Sangyu pulled up her pants and darted off.
Yan Zi quickly grabbed her back, "You haven’t washed your bum yet."
"Then don’t spank my bum, alright?" Sangyu looked at her grandaunt with a cheeky grin.
Yan Zi shook her head in amusent, pinched her little cheek, took care of the little troublemaker properly, and the two walked out the door.
Yi Luowa looked at Yan Zi with an apologetic smile, "Auntie, sorry to trouble you again."
"What are you saying? I was just idling about anyway." Yan Zi said with a smile, "Besides, Sangyu specifically chooses ; none of you can take my place. I’ll go check how things are progressing in the kitchen; you all go chat."
As soon as her grandaunt left, Sangyu skipped and hopped out the door.
Connie chuckled, "Off to report the news."
Yi Luowa smiled helplessly, "Honestly, this isn’t right; when do juniors ever probe into the romantic history of elders? No one should ntion this again; it might put Dad and Mom in an awkward spot."
"Alright, won’t bring it up again," Connie said with a small laugh.
Ziheng was reaching out his little hands to grab Zi Xi. Feeling soone touching him, Zi Xi tilted his head to look at his older brother, and the two little ones grinned widely.
After dinner, Yi Luowa called Huo Li to finalize plans to visit the estate this Sunday.
Huo Li chuckled, "You should probably avoid coming back; your second uncle and I will bring the kids to visit you instead."
"That works too; I’m juggling three kids here—it’s quite the hassle going anywhere." Yi Luowa laughed and hung up the phone.
Joyina noticed she had finished her call and walked over with her phone, "Luowa, let show you a picture of my brother’s girlfriend. When Huo Li gets here, you two can help test my brother’s attitude."
Yi Luowa smiled, took her phone, and flipped through the pictures, "She’s quite pretty! This must have been secretly snapped by Mianmian, right? Look at that exaggerated 2.8-ter vibe."
"I had Mianmian take them for . The last one was captured when she was with my brother. Look at my brother’s expression—why does it feel like he was reluctant, with that fake and half-hearted smile of his?"
Yi Luowa reviewed the last photo for a while, "I think it’s fine!"
"That’s because you don’t know him—when he’s impatient with , he smiles like this: outwardly laughing but inwardly suppressing extre annoyance."
"Alright, don’t overthink it. When Huo Li arrives, we’ll help ask him for you."
Yi Luowa patted her on the shoulder with a smile, "I heard from my mom that you’re heading back to Beidi soon. When do you leave?"
"You just got back; I’ll wait a few days," Joyina pouted.
"If you’re hosick, head back early. We’ll have plenty of ti together."
Joyina scrunched her face, "Luowa, I’ll be busy working again soon. My ti at ho will keep getting shorter."
"Starting a new project again?"
"Yeah, the last movie earned several awards and over a billion at the box office—I’m itching to do another one."
Yi Luowa smiled, "Follow your passion!"
"This ti, I won’t act; I’ll take on the producer role—better for looking after the kids."
Youyou nudged her, "If you love acting, just go. I’ll watch the kids for you—it’ll be like I had twins for real."
Joyina quickly shook her head, "No way. If I leave the kids behind, everyone in the family will be exhausted."
Youyou pouted, "We have so many people—what’s there to be tired about? Go worry about your work."
"I won’t act in the film; it allows ti with the kids. Oh, by the way, the male lead is still Ke Jingran. As for the female lead, I’ve narrowed it down to two actresses—I’ll discuss with your third brother on who’s better suited."
Youyou glanced at her, "It’s your investnt—you should decide. Don’t let my third brother interfere. Nowadays, so up-and-coming stars will do anything for a role; better not let him get entangled in unnecessary drama."
Yi Luowa tapped her jokingly, "Stop talking nonsense. My third brother isn’t that kind of person."
Youyou pouted defiantly, "I just saw news about an award-winning director promoting an 18th-tier starlet. Guess why he did it?"
"Stories like that are everywhere—it all depends on the person." Yi Luowa gave her a aningful look, "Aren’t you going to check on Yu Xiao?"
"Dad’s bringing him... right, I’ll go check." Youyou dashed upstairs.
Joyina smiled and glanced at Yi Luowa, "Just let her talk—I’m not worried. Your third brother isn’t that type of man."
"We all know my third brother isn’t that kind of person..."
"Beep beep..." The phone rang, interrupting Yi Luowa.
Joyina glanced at her phone and said with a smile, "It’s one of the actresses I picked—I’ll take this call."
Yi Luowa smiled, "Go ahead. I’ll go upstairs to check on the kids—I wonder what chaos they’re causing now."
Yi Luowa went upstairs with a smile, hearing laughter coming from her mother-in-law’s room from afar.
Tong Aino laughed, "Son, what a disgrace—your younger brother is so much smaller than you, yet you still can’t beat him."
"Giggle... knock knock..." Zi Xi was laughing while shaking a rattle.
Ziheng glanced at him and stuck his thumb into his mouth, "Suckle suckle," making slurping sounds.
"He’s letting his little brother win," Ziheng said as he grabbed another rattle from his own crib and handed it to Zi Xi.
Zi Xi paused for a second, then broke into a wide smile.
"Indeed, the older brother is a role model," Long Che lovingly patted Ziyan’s little head.
"My brother was the sa as a kid—he even let our third brother win," Tong Aino chuckled, pinching Ziyan’s little nose. "Uncle’s counting on you—when you grow up and make sothing of yourself, uncle’s going to bask in your success."
Ziyan tilted his head to look at his uncle.
Sangyu pointed a toy gun at her uncle before making "biu biu" shooting noises, then said, "Uncle, when you grow old, I’ll take care of you."
Tong Aino turned to look at Sangyu, laughing, "Just don’t end up like your aunt—marrying so far away."
"I won’t marry—I’ll take a wife instead," Sangyu hopped off the bed.
Tong Aino laughed, "I’m sure that line ca from my dad."
"Who else’s influence could it be!" Tong Yao chuckled as she grabbed Sangyu, "Where are you running off to again?"
"To find Dad—for a real gun!"
"Your dad isn’t here; wait until uncle has free ti to make you a real-looking one to play with," Tong Aino said with a smile, picking her up.
Yi Luowa pushed the door open and walked in, "It’s lively here—the laughter could be heard from far away."
Sangyu shouted joyfully, "Mama, uncle said he’d make a real gun!"
Yi Luowa teased, "You’re pampering her too much!"
"She’s the only little princess in our family—if I don’t pamper her, who else would I?" He laughed, "Why don’t you ask my brother if he agrees? If he does, I’ll pamper you instead."
Yi Luowa burst into laughter, "I thought your brother was here—it seems he disappeared again, leaving three kids with Dad and Mom."
"He was just here—stepped out to take a call," Tong Aino replied.
"Luowa... Luowa!" Joyina’s voice ca from outside the room.
Yi Luowa quickly stepped outside, "What’s wrong?"
"Co here—I need to talk to you." Joyina grabbed her by the arm and led her upstairs. Once inside Yi Luowa’s study, Joyina angrily said, "Soone told about your third brother flirting with Huang Zing!"
Yi Luowa furrowed her brow slightly—could it be that Youyou’s words were actually prophetic?
"What’s going on? Speak slowly," Yi Luowa said as she pulled Joyina onto the sofa.
"Rember I ntioned picking two female leads? Soone just told that your third brother has special ties with Huang Zing. After thinking it through, your third brother does seem inclined to favor Huang Zing as the lead. This person also ntioned that your third brother even took Huang Zing to a royal banquet before."
Yi Luowa nodded, "I rember that—it was during my engagent to Tong Airui. My third brother brought her once back then, but that was before he t you, Joyina. You can’t base everything on hearsay. If my third brother really had sothing going on with Huang Zing, it wouldn’t have dragged on until now."
Joyina mulled over this before saying, "I trust your third brother; that’s why I didn’t confront him directly. Luowa, help figure out what to do!"
"I choose to trust my third brother. Why don’t we have Tong Airui talk to him first?"
"How would that work?"
"Definitely not by directly asking my third brother if he’s involved with Huang Zing. Keep things subtle—Tong Airui can bring it up casually and gauge his reaction."
"Alright, then you talk to Tong Airui. Where’s your third brother now? I’ll go look for him..."
Yi Luowa quickly grabbed her, "Don’t! Your face is giving you away—he’ll see it in an instant. Sit tight for now—I’ll go find Tong Airui."
Joyina nodded, clutching a pillow tightly to her chest.
Yi Luowa stepped out and headed straight to Tong Airui’s study.
Tong Airui was on a call—he gestured toward the sofa when she entered.
Yi Luowa pressed her lips together and sat down.
Tong Airui soon ended his call and looked up, "What’s happened?"
"Soone told Joyina that my third brother is flirting with Huang Zing. Can you go and sound him out? If it turns out false, great—if there’s any truth to it, you’ll have to help my third brother get his priorities straight."
Tong Airui frowned slightly, "Who leaked this?"
