"Sister-in-law, I’m heading to the hospital, you stay ho and look after these three," Connie hurriedly rushed out of the nursery. "I’ve already fed the baby, and the nanny is here, so you don’t have to carry him."
"I’ll go instead, I promised Youyou I’d help her look after the baby," Yi Luowa squatted down to look at the two little ones. "Mom really isn’t leaving, I’ll co back as soon as your Aunt Eight and Third Aunt have given birth."
Sangyu looked at her mom with teary eyes.
Ziyan stayed silent, tightly clutching his mom’s hand.
Connie sighed, "How about we all go then."
Yi Luowa ruffled the two little ones’ heads, "Looks like we’ll all have to go together."
In no ti, the whole family piled into the RV and set off grandly for the hospital.
Once they arrived at the hospital, Yi Luowa realized Connie’s suggestion was absolutely the right call. The two fools in the delivery room were just shouting away without actually giving birth. The sky was already turning dark, and they hadn’t shown any signs of progress.
When Tong Airui arrived, Yi Luowa had already taken two naps in the hospital room.
"Dad got ho and saw all three kids brought to the hospital, now he’s upset," Tong Airui walked over to the bedside and whispered.
"Dad ca too?" Yi Luowa sat up.
Sangyu, still groggy from her nap, pursed her lips and said, "Daddy, you woke up."
"Sorry, sweetheart, I’ll be more careful next ti. Grandpa’s waiting for you two outside, go cheer him up, okay? Make sure you make him happy."
"I’m mad too!" Sangyu crossed her arms and huffed.
Ziyan poked his head out of the blanket and hugged his sister’s shoulder, "Don’t be mad, don’t be mad."
"So when are those two going to give birth?" Tong Airui pulled his daughter out of the blanket and sat her on the edge of the bed, putting on her little red boots.
Ziyan didn’t need his dad’s help and sat on the bed by himself.
Tong Airui glanced at his daughter and chuckled, "Your brother just cheered you up; shouldn’t you help him by putting on his shoes this ti?"
Sangyu pouted and slid down from the bed, clumsily putting one shoe on her brother’s foot—but it ended up backward.
Yi Luowa laughed and nudged Tong Airui, "Don’t make things harder for the kids."
Long Che heard the noise inside, knocked, and ca into the room. Seeing his granddaughter bent over with her little rear in the air trying to put on her brother’s shoes, he glared at his son enjoying the scene.
Tong Airui chuckled, "Ziyan was just cheering Sangyu up earlier, so she’s giving back to her brother now."
"Sangyu, hand the shoe to Grandpa, Grandpa will put it on for your brother," Long Che said irritably, reaching out his hand to his granddaughter.
Seeing that Long Che was upset, Yi Luowa quickly got out of bed, "Dad, I’ll put Ziyan’s shoes on."
Tong Airui laughed and held her down, "Let do it; I’ve got the thickest skin in this room."
"Why didn’t you do it earlier!" Long Che glared at him, "Don’t think that just because Sangyu knows a little more, she’s already a big kid! She’s still so small, and you’re training her on this? What, is your head full of water?"
"Dad, could you show a little rcy in front of the kids?" Tong Airui took off the backward shoe his daughter had put on and swapped it to the correct foot.
Sangyu watched her dad seriously, observing how he put on her brother’s shoes.
"Got it?" Tong Airui smiled and patted his daughter’s head. "In the future, if Daddy isn’t ho, rember this so you can put Mommy’s shoes on."
"Mhm!" Sangyu nodded firmly.
"Good girl."
"I can do it too!" Ziyan slid down from the bed.
"Ziyan is a young man. If Daddy isn’t ho, Mommy and your sister are counting on you."
Ziyan nodded enthusiastically, "I’ll protect Mommy and my sister!"
Long Che smiled; turns out his son was teaching the kids with a purpose.
Yi Luowa smiled gratefully, "Ziyan, Sangyu, you two follow Grandpa. Mommy’s going to check on your Third Aunt and Aunt Eight."
Knowing their mom wouldn’t leave, the two little ones obediently nodded.
Not long after Yi Luowa left, the delivery room finally rang out with a baby’s wailing cries.
"They’ve given birth! Finally!" Yan Zi tightly held onto Tong Yao’s hand.
"It sounds like just one baby crying. Whose baby is it?" Tong Yao asked with a smile.
"We’ll know once they bring the baby out," Mi Xiaotian grinned from ear to ear.
Shortly after, the nurse walked out of Joyina’s delivery room, holding the baby.
"It’s Shuoshuo’s family!" Yan Zi looked around and, spotting Yi Luowa already there, said with a smile, "They said you should hold the baby first; after that, pass him to ."
Yi Luowa laughed and took the baby from the nurse’s arms. "Auntie, it’s fine, he’s only a few pounds, I’m not going to get tired."
"Alright, hurry and give him to then." Afraid of putting the baby at risk, Yan Zi quickly took the baby from her.
