Queen Haotian said as she hurriedly took out her phone. First, she called her subordinates to escort Jonah ho safely, and then she dialed Joel’s number.

Queen Haotian gripped the phone tightly. "Joel, think back again. In Katusha’s final call to you, did she say anything that you might’ve overlooked?"
Joel hesitated. "Do you really need to force to say it?"
Queen Haotian braced against the table and slowly sat down. "All these years, Haotian has been so turbulent. I’ve been busy with state affairs, family matters, and hardly had ti to spend with you all. And now, with what happened to Katusha, I suddenly feel like there’s a gap between all of you and ."
Joel sighed deeply, "I don’t know what the others think, but I’m still . Even though I’ve done things to wrong you, I’ve always been haunted by guilt. Today, Katusha did say sothing about you. She said she hated you. At the ti, I got mad and asked her why she hated you. She didn’t answer . Then, she hung up the phone."
Queen Haotian pressed her lips tightly together, blinking after a long pause. "I gave my whole heart to her, yet she hates . Heh..."
"Zhi Lan, her state of mind hasn’t been normal lately. Don’t take her words to heart."
"So all of you knew she hated , and I was the only one left in the dark?"

"Let’s head back to the palace chambers," Queen Haotian said, taking her daughter’s hand. The mother and daughter walked out first.
Just as they stepped out the door, Queen Haotian softly said to her daughter, "Tell , at my age, still acting like a child—Airui won’t laugh at , will he?"
Yi Luowa pursed her lips into a smile. "I act this way all the ti. He’s already used to it. There’s no way he’d laugh at you. Mom, are you feeling a little less sad now?"

Yi Luowa hooked one arm around her mother’s and the other around her husband’s, smiling as she glanced at one and then the other. "I’ve finally fulfilled my dream!"
"Having a mother’s love and a husband’s affection?" Queen Haotian smiled as she gently patted her daughter’s cheek.
