Mi Chenxuan quickly drove the car to the office building.
Before getting out of the car, Tong Airui said to Yi Luowa, "Unless I call you, stay in your office and work on correcting that docunt. Don’t co to my office."
Yi Luowa pursed her lips.
Tong Airui pinched her cheek and turned to Mi Chenxuan, "Stay with your fourth sister-in-law, and don’t wander around."
"Mission guaranteed to be accomplished!" Mi Chenxuan got out of the car and opened the door for Yi Luowa, "Co on, let’s chat."
Yi Luowa nodded with a smile and followed Mi Chenxuan into the office building.
Tong Airui shook his head helplessly. Those two had actually abandoned him!
The Fourth Master got out of the car as well, while several security escort vehicles pulled up behind.
Park Shunyan glanced at Tong Airui and then at his car, "If I don’t see Yi Luowa, I won’t say a single word to you!"
"What are you doing now? Trying to bark like a dog? Speak or don’t—it’s up to you. If you don’t want to talk, then get out. This ti I’m showing respect for your father, but next ti, if you dare to cause trouble at my place again, I’ll restrict your entry into the country!" Tong Airui shot him an impatient glance and turned to enter the office building.
Park Shunyan was silent for a mont, then quickly chased after Tong Airui.
The two n entered the office one after the other. Tong Airui sat at his desk and opened his computer; he didn’t have ti to waste on pointless drama and decided to focus on handling business matters instead.
Park Shunyan helped himself and sat on the sofa.
Tong Airui looked at him disdainfully. This set of white sofas was new, bought when he moved in—and wasn’t he just sitting on the ground earlier?
Park Shunyan raised an eyebrow slightly, "Do you have obsessive-compulsive tendencies?"
Tong Airui kept his gaze lowered, typing away at the keyboard.
"Where’s Yi Luowa?"
"Why should I tell you?"
"Because she’s in danger. Not long ago, didn’t your family receive a severed hand specin?"
Tong Airui’s hand paused slightly over the keyboard, "Wasn’t that severed hand sent by you?"
"I wouldn’t go that far." Park Shunyan smiled. "It seems you don’t want to see Yi Luowa. How about this: Agree to one condition of mine, and I’ll tell you who sent the hand to you—essentially solving the case for you."
"I won’t agree to any of your conditions because the information you want to give , I’ll find out myself soon enough." Tong Airui noticed a private ssage pop up on his computer and clicked to open it.
The private ssage was sent by Dapeng, containing only a dical record. Tong Airui quickly skimd through it and looked up at Park Shunyan.
"William?"
Park Shunyan froze.
Tong Airui massaged his temple, "Park Shunyan, let’s speak openly—was that severed hand sent to my brother, as a gift, by soone nad William?"
Park Shunyan suddenly hugged himself tightly, "Don’t ntion that na to ! He’s a demon from hell... Demon! Demon, stay away from ! Get away—!"
Tong Airui slowly stood up, his hand reaching toward his waist.
Park Shunyan suddenly bolted upright, pushed the door open, and ran out.
Outside, the guards were briefly stunned before he jumped out of the third-floor window.
Tong Airui leaned by the window to look down, seeing Park Shunyan already standing and running toward the main entrance. Turning, he instructed the guards, "Chase him down! He is extrely dangerous. Be cautious!"
"Yes!"
"Wait! Only harm him if absolutely necessary!"
"Understood!"
The guards responded and rushed out.
Tong Airui pinched his brow and swiftly returned to his office, picking up the phone to call Maizekai.
"Old Seven, explain to what multiple personalities an."
Maizekai adjusted his glasses and spoke slowly, "Fourth Brother, why do you want to know? Did you develop this disorder?"
Tong Airui furrowed his brows slightly, "I don’t have ti to joke with you, just explain quickly!"
Maizekai cleared his throat and spoke leisurely, "Multiple personalities, as the na suggests, is like having other souls coexisting within your body. The most severe case I’ve read about involved twenty-four different personalities. Imagine this: you find yourself sowhere, close your eyes, and when you reopen them, you’re in a completely different place, and even ti has vanished. Yet, during this entire period, you were awake. Only, another personality had taken control to do whatever ’it’ wanted."
Tong Airui asked in a serious tone, "Whatever ’it’ wanted? Like murder?"
"That’s entirely possible!"
"What usually causes personality splitting?"
"Usually, it’s linked back to unresolved trauma from childhood."
"Thank you!" Tong Airui set down the phone and reopened the dical report sent by Dapeng, studying it for a long while before calling Dapeng back, "Dapeng, gather all his information from childhood to now."
"Alright! Fourth Brother, if this person really is who you suspect, we’ll likely have no legal grounds to convict him, even if we gather evidence. Should we keep investigating?"
"Investigate! I want to uncover the truth." Tong Airui frowned. "No matter which ’him’ it is, his target is solely your fourth sister-in-law. We must uncover the truth—if legal asures fail, I’ll still have grounds to restrict his personal freedom."
"Got it, I’ll send soone to investigate imdiately."
"Also, check with your team if anyone is still trailing him—he’s fled from here, and I’m not sure if we can capture him again."
"I’ll confirm now." After hanging up, Dapeng called back a short while later.
"Fourth Brother, soone is stationed at the entrance, but he hasn’t left yet."
Tong Airui tightened his grip on the phone, "Update imdiately if anything changes."
"Understood!"
Tong Airui walked briskly out the door, phone in hand.
Yi Luowa was still busy revising that docunt when Tong Airui entered her office with a stern expression. She frowned slightly, "Who dared to cross you this ti? Was it Park Shunyan?"
Across the desk, Tong Airui reached out and pulled her up, "Head to my place. From now on, you’re not allowed out of my sight for the next twenty-four hours."
Mi Chenxuan set down his phone and looked up at Tong Airui, "Sothing happened?"
"Discovered soone extrely terrifying." Tong Airui took Yi Luowa by the hand and made toward the exit.
"Wait a second." Yi Luowa reached for the docunt on the table, "Honey, this terrifying person you ntioned wouldn’t happen to be Park Shunyan, would it?"
"Still investigating if it’s him. He suddenly lost control of his emotions and jumped out the window, and he’s currently still in the compound. We need to find him as soon as possible!"
Stopping at the door, Tong Airui instructed Mi Chenxuan, "Call Youyou and tell her to co here quickly to protect your fourth sister-in-law. Stay in my office, and until Park Shunyan is caught, don’t leave her side."
For the first ti, Fourth Brother was speaking to him so seriously. Mi Chenxuan realized the severity of the situation and promptly grabbed his phone.
Youyou was still at the Duke’s mansion. If the family found out soone was now in danger, things could turn ugly.
While Mi Chenxuan waited for Youyou to answer, Yi Luowa whispered, "Tell Youyou I invited her to co hang out—don’t ntion anything else, so we don’t scare the family."
Mi Chenxuan nodded, speaking calmly on the call as the three entered Tong Airui’s office.
Youyou joyfully accepted Mi Chenxuan’s invitation without hesitation.
Tong Yao spotted her excitent and asked suspiciously, "What’s the good news that has you this pleased?"
"Auntie, my sister asked to hang out with her. I’m heading out now!"
Tong Yao watched Youyou’s retreating figure in thought.
Sothing’s off here! This slls fishy! That high-security place isn’t sowhere people would casually invite others to "hang out." Besides, didn’t Luowa say earlier she was busy correcting docunts for Rui’er? How would she suddenly have ti for fun?
Tong Yao sensed trouble and quickly entered her study, picking up the phone to call her son.
Tong Airui hesitated for a mont before answering his mother’s call.
"Mom, is there sothing wrong?"
"Youyou said Luowa invited her to hang out. Is that true, or is that girl just making excuses to go out and goof off?"
"Mom, soone as sharp as you—I won’t hide it from you. There’s sothing I’ve been investigating, and once I have a clearer picture, I’ll report back. For now, I’ll send additional personnel ho; please ensure the family doesn’t go out. Stay alert!"
Tong Yao nodded, "Alright, you stay cautious too. With here, you don’t need to worry about the house."
"Got it." Tong Airui hung up his mother’s call and made several more phone calls, dispatching people to the Duke’s mansion, Zoryan Group, Wanzhou Film, PCW, and the hospital, instructing them to secretly protect the respective targets.
Once finishing the arrangents, he looked at Yi Luowa, "Help think—am I missing any other location?"
Yi Luowa pursed her lips tight, "Dad and Big Brother’s places."
"Big Brother’s place already has people—I don’t need to send more. I’m waiting for updates; if they capture him, don’t tell him imdiately to avoid unnecessary panic. As for Dad... I’ll call him right away."
