"Constar."
Tong Airui’s hand tightened slightly around the phone. "Alright. I’ll arrange for soone to take care of it imdiately."
"Alive, I need to see him. Dead, I need the body."
"Yes!"
King Muta chuckled lightly. "Airui, aren’t you going to ask why I want to find him?"
Tong Airui smiled faintly. "If you don’t tell , I won’t ask. I’ll just follow your orders."
"You should know who he is. This matter—I don’t want too many people knowing about it."
"Understood!"
"I’ll give you a clue. The last ti he and I spoke was a month ago. At that ti, he was in Country M."
"Thank you, King Muta."
Tong Airui put down the phone and signaled to Sheng Duheng. The two of them exited the room, one after the other.
Once inside Tong Airui’s office, he lowered his voice and asked, "Second Uncle, has that man been dealt with thoroughly?"
"Thoroughly dealt with. That scoundrel—if we hadn’t caught him in ti, a lot more information would have been sold off. Why bring this up all of a sudden?"
"King Muta wants to find him. Alive or dead... Second Uncle, do you think King Muta might have caught wind of sothing?"
Sheng Duheng pondered for a mont. "I don’t think so. If he’d heard rumors, he wouldn’t fra it that way. But needing the body—what are we supposed to do about that? I cleaned up too thoroughly."
Tong Airui frowned slightly. "Then just keep searching endlessly. Send out a few people to ’search’."
"That’s the only option." Sheng Duheng shook his head helplessly. "Ah... to think I’ve been wise my whole life..."
Tong Airui’s lips curled into a faint smirk. "None of you old guard have such situations, right?"
Sheng Duheng shot him a sideways glance. "Don’t use us to amuse yourself! I’ll go arrange for our people. You should get so rest; you didn’t sleep last night."
"Can’t fall asleep. I’m heading to the operations command room." Tong Airui pushed open the door and walked out.
The front-line situation was becoming increasingly clear—even soone as inexperienced as Yi Luowa could begin to see the patterns.
Tong Airui watched for a while, then walked over to Yi Luowa. Yi Luowa lifted her eyes to et his gaze.
Tong Airui spoke softly, "Co with for a mont."
Yi Luowa noticed that the people seated beside her were now looking her way. Quickly, she followed Tong Airui out the door.
Inside the office, Yi Luowa noticed he’d sat down on the sofa, and asked suspiciously, "What’s the matter?"
Tong Airui raised an eyebrow slightly. "Nothing."
"If it’s nothing, why did you call out here? I was trying to learn more!" Yi Luowa pouted. "I’m particularly fond of Colin’s tactical style."
"You like straightforward and direct tactics?" Tong Airui asked with a laugh.
Yi Luowa nodded. "It’s exhilarating!"
"That depends on whom you’re battling. Against weaker opponents, that approach won’t backfire. But if you face an evenly matched adversary, that kind of strategy could be at a disadvantage."
"Mm, I get that. For example, if you’re up against soone like Tingting, you’ll need to put in more brainwork."
Tong Airui chuckled. "Colin’s tactics—just familiarize yourself with them. Next ti there’s a battle, I’ll change the commanding officer so you can observe a different approach."
Yi Luowa acknowledged, noticing the bloodshot streaks in his eyes that were becoming increasingly apparent. She said, feeling concerned, "Go take a nap."
Tong Airui pinched the bridge of his nose. "I never used to be like this. Now, just a bit of overnight work, and my eyes turn red first."
"You’re drained!" Yi Luowa pursed her lips in a playful smile.
"I haven’t ’served the public’ for a year! Drained of what?" Tong Airui glared at her. "Your book’s on the second shelf of the bookcase. Class starts at 7 PM tonight, in the stairwell conference room of Building Three. Read your book for a while—I’ll sit here and take a brief nap."
"Go rest in the lounge. If anything cos up, I’ll call you." Yi Luowa walked over.
"I don’t have the habit of getting into bed during work hours." Tong Airui reclined on the sofa. "Like this—problem solved in ten minutes."
Yi Luowa pouted, pulled out a few books from the shelf, and walked over to Tong Airui’s side. "Lie down on my lap and rest for a bit."
Tong Airui scooted over slightly.
As soon as Yi Luowa sat down, he laid down on her lap.
Yi Luowa gently massaged the pressure points on his head, and before long, Tong Airui’s eyes shut.
Yi Luowa sighed softly. He wouldn’t fall asleep so quickly unless he was truly exhausted.
Seeing him sleeping soundly, Yi Luowa reached for a book. When she opened the first page, she froze.
The book was clearly brand new, but it contained red annotations—detailed explanations of terminology she didn’t understand. And Tong Airui had written it all in F-language, the language she was most familiar with.
Yi Luowa’s eyes turned slightly red. Despite his overwhelming workload, he had done all this for her. If only he would take that ti to rest more!
