"You’re doing this on purpose!"

"..."

"You started the fire, now you deal with it!"

"..."

"Honey~ Honey~"

"Tong Airui! If you dare make another sound, I’ll castrate you!" Yi Luowa growled, and the bedroom fell silent instantly.

...

Three days later, the whole family set off for Laiwang Island. Tong Airui and Mai Zekai stayed behind at ho until the wedding day, when the two of them flew to Laiwang Island.

Yi Luowa and Jimo Shanshan stayed behind with the three kids once again.

"Last ti it was just the two of us, this ti it’s five of us." Jimo Shanshan laughed, "I wonder how long we’ll have to continue being ’left-behind personnel’."

"Once the kids are older, we can finally say goodbye to these ’left-behind’ days." Yi Luowa looked at her two children lying on her bed and smiled warmly. "Actually, being left behind isn’t so bad. This is the first ti these two have ever laid on my bed, so I feel like I’ve truly had them for an entire day."

Jimo Shanshan, impressed by how easily she found joy, chuckled. "Fourth Sister-in-law, I really admire you. You seem to take everything in stride."

Yi Luowa pursed her lips into a smile. "It’s just my nature—I tend to insist on so things, while letting others go without much thought. Especially when it cos to family. Living under the sa roof isn’t easy, so I believe in keeping things tolerant and accommodating. Besides, my family treats so well—I truly feel fulfilled. Shanshan, you might not be able to understand how I feel right now. I grew up with just my second uncle after I lost my parents at the age of two. I had no real relatives. Now suddenly having so many family mbers ans the world to , and I treasure it deeply."

Jimo Shanshan noticed the redness in Yi Luowa’s eyes and quickly grabbed her hand. "Fourth Sister-in-law... I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have brought up sothing that makes you sad."

"It’s not really a sad thing." Yi Luowa smiled faintly. "I always say, everything depends on fate."

"Mhm, mhm." Jimo Shanshan nodded quickly.

Yi Luowa glanced at the two kids with a smile. "I rember when I had just given birth, you all suggested finding a psychologist, worried I might spiral out of control. At that ti, I was terrified my kids would follow in my old footsteps. Thankfully, they were fine."

"I guess you’ve got so lingering trauma," Jimo Shanshan said with a laugh, tinged with helplessness. "I really can’t hold a conversation—I barely said two sentences and almost made you cry."

"Oh, it’s not your fault. It’s my own issue. After I gave birth, I found myself becoming more sentintal."

"I’m the sa. Later, when I resud work, bit by bit I started feeling better again. We just have to keep finding things to do—keeping busy helps."

Yi Luowa nodded thoughtfully. "Shanshan, how’s Old Seven been doing lately?"

Jimo Shanshan paused. "What’s wrong with him?"

Yi Luowa grinned mischievously. "You know, what happened when you had your baby—didn’t it scare him out of his wits?"

Jimo Shanshan laughed and lightly slapped her arm. "You switch topics way too fast—I can barely keep up."

Yi Luowa chuckled twice. "Looks like he’s fine now!"

Jimo Shanshan grinned. "He’s functional again!"

"Hahaha... I love discussing this kind of topic with you doctors. You always respond so straightforwardly without any embarrassnt. Unlike Connie—ask her a hundred tis and she still wouldn’t give you a single answer."

Speaking of Connie, Jimo Shanshan suddenly rembered sothing. "My Fifth Sister-in-law went to the hospital two days ago. Did you know?"

Yi Luowa paused. "No, I didn’t. Did she go by herself?"

"Mhm." Jimo Shanshan nodded. "That day, a pregnant woman had a sudden fainting spell, and while I was busy rescuing her, my Fifth Sister-in-law was outside seeing a specialist. She ntioned wanting kids, but after two or three months of trying, she hadn’t gotten pregnant yet, so she wanted to check if there was sothing wrong."

Yi Luowa asked worriedly, "And then?"

"Then the doctor started asking questions. Honestly, if I hadn’t been saving patients, I think I would’ve laughed out loud."

"What did she say?" Yi Luowa blinked curiously.

"She said my Fifth Brother has been overly enthusiastic about making a baby—three or four tis a night! Hahaha... Tell , where does Fifth Brother get all that energy?"

"Like I said—they co from the sa mom!" Yi Luowa muttered under her breath.

Jimo Shanshan, still laughing, didn’t hear her. "Fourth Sister-in-law, what did you say?"

"Haha... I said your Fifth Brother is very capable."

"Hahaha... Well, that’s your opinion. I didn’t say anything!" Jimo Shanshan turned her head and suddenly noticed the three kids staring at her blankly. Stifling her laughter, she quickly composed herself. "The doctor said they should reduce their frequency—maybe that’ll help."

"Your Fifth Brother would never listen to a doctor. My Fourth Brother already advised him against it, but Fifth Brother still said sothing like, ’No sowing, no reaping!’."

"Guess that won’t be easy to fix." Jimo Shanshan shook her head with a helpless laugh.

"Wah wah..." Without warning, Pengpeng burst into tears.

Sangyu and Ziyan turned their little heads to look at Pengpeng in the direction of the sound.

Jimo Shanshan swiftly picked up Pengpeng, lifted her blouse, and latched the baby to her breast.

Watching Pengpeng suck greedily, Yi Luowa said enviously, "It’s great that you produce your own milk—you can feed him anyti you want."

"Your problem was that my Fourth Brother wouldn’t let the doctor stimulate your milk production—otherwise, you’d have had plenty."

Yi Luowa froze. "Shanshan, what did you say?"

"...You didn’t know? Oops, I shouldn’t have blabbed." Jimo Shanshan smiled awkwardly.

Yi Luowa’s face turned red with anger. "That bastard! Just wait until he gets back!"

"Don’t argue with my Fourth Brother, okay? He did it for your own good. He said you could only breastfeed one child—if you favored one over the other, the unchosen one might resent you later. So in the end, he decided none of them should be breastfed."

Yi Luowa pouted. "Siding with him doesn’t help! When he made that decision, why couldn’t he consult first?"

"You were in so much pain back then—how could he ask you to make that call?" Jimo Shanshan cleverly replied, quickly matching Yi Luowa’s tempo, afraid her comnt might ignite a fight between the couple.

Yi Luowa wrinkled her nose. "Don’t worry. Even if we do argue, I wouldn’t throw you under the bus."

Jimo Shanshan shot her a concerned glance.

However, Tong Airui didn’t give Yi Luowa the chance to argue. Midway through Mi Chenxuan’s wedding ceremony, he received a phone call from Colin: A critical situation was unfolding at the front line, and he needed to return urgently!

After taking the call, Tong Airui whispered a few words to Long Che, slipped out of Laiwang Island, and flew directly back to Shenying Base.

Sitting in the operations hall, Tong Airui listened to Colin’s report and imdiately began devising a ticulous defense plan.

Once Colin had everything arranged, he stood up. "Captain, I request to head to the front line!"

Tong Airui grinned. "Colin, if war does break out, as the battle commander, wouldn’t you find it way more satisfying to sit here and crush them without leaving the base?"

Colin shook his head quickly. "Nah, that’s a job for you. I’m just a simple brute—I couldn’t handle that kind of role."

Tong Airui chuckled. "What, so all your previous victories were fake?"

"Haha..." Everyone burst into laughter.

Sheng Duheng laughed as he patted Colin’s shoulder. "If Airui says you’re in charge, then you’re in charge. No need to refuse."
