"Sis, aren’t you supposed to go practice shooting? Why are you heading upstairs?" You grabbed Yi Luowa’s arm.
"I’m going to get my guns."
You blinked and chuckled, "Both of your guns are with . I’ve already recalibrated them."
Yi Luowa glared at her, "Youyou!"
"Could you call ’Luo You’ from now on, please?"
Yi Luowa raised her hand and gave her a light smack, "When did you take my guns? If you dare take my stuff again, I’ll chop off your paws!"
You pouted and rubbed her arm, "Sis, those two guns were just sitting there on the coffee table last night, all shiny. I thought it looked fun, so I picked them up and tested them out. The golden gun isn’t interesting—no power. The silver gun is great. Can you talk to my Fifth Brother about making one? Money’s not a problem."
"No way!" Yi Luowa grabbed You and dragged her into the basent. "From now on, anything you see that looks fun but isn’t yours, you can’t touch it! It’s not a good habit."
You pouted in frustration, "Sis, I wouldn’t touch anyone else’s stuff. You’re my sister, so I just played around with yours."
Yi Luowa pursed her lips and lightly patted You’s head. "I know you’re a good kid. If you like this gun, you can have it. I don’t really need it anyway."
You quickly shook her head, "I don’t want it. It’s for your self-defense. No matter how much I like it, I wouldn’t take it."
Yi Luowa smiled, "You don’t want it because my na’s on the gun, right? Fine, when your Fifth Brother gets back, I’ll ask him to make one for you."
A big smile imdiately lit up You’s face. "I knew you’d be the best to !"
That morning, You taught Yi Luowa how to shoot. At first, Yi Luowa kept missing the target, but after a while, she managed to hit the sixth and seventh rings, and even once hit the bullseye by pure luck, which made her giddy with happiness.
You grinned and said, "Sis, you’ve got potential. If you really get good at this, maybe you could beco a top-tier assassin soday."
"You’ve got to be kidding !" Yi Luowa shot her a look. "If I beca an assassin, wouldn’t my uncle and aunt be the first ones to have taken out?"
"Haha, I’m just joking," You laughed, swaying her long ponytail side to side.
"I asked your brother-in-law about it; old Eight will be back in three days," Yi Luowa said, raising her gun and firing at the bullseye again.
"Really?!" You was so excited she nearly jumped for joy.
Yi Luowa smiled and glanced at the monitor next to her. "Thanks to your praise, I only managed to hit the ninth ring."
"Nine rings is already great! Be satisfied with that." You glanced at the clock and smiled. "Your two little ones should be waking up soon. Aren’t you going to check on them?"
"One more shot, then I’ll go." Yi Luowa raised her gun again.
As soon as the last shot went off, You laughed. "No need to check—I already know you missed. Sis, looks like you’re not cut out to be an assassin. Your heart’s drifting off sowhere else. When you shoot, your mind needs to be calm, your hands steady. Find your target, pinpoint the timing, and don’t hesitate for even half a second. That’s the most basic requirent."
Yi Luowa holstered her gun and looked at You with a big grin. "Our Luo You is definitely a great teacher!"
"Haha, you’re flattering too much!" You chuckled and scratched her head shyly. "Sis, since you’re busy this morning, I’ll teach you so moves tonight. It’ll be cooler in the evening too."
"Sure! Teach how to climb walls first. I’d love to hang on a wall like you do, haha..."
You laughed, "You should start with the basics. I’ll teach you self-defense skills first—it’s important to protect yourself before learning anything else."
Yi Luowa nodded with a smile, "I’ll learn everything seriously. Do you think I could get as good as you?"
You puffed out her chest proudly. "What I’ve got is childhood training—getting as good as will be tough. But if you stick with for ten or twenty years, maybe you could hold your own against Kou’er."
"Ten or twenty years?! Forget it, then." Yi Luowa sighed. "Kou’er’s been away for a year now. I really miss her."
You hugged Yi Luowa’s shoulder and laughed, "Sis, you still have , don’t you? I’m not leaving. I’ll stay with you for life. I’ve already told Mi Chenxuan that even when I get married, I’m living with you. Sis, do you think Uncle and Aunt will get annoyed with for staying here so long?"
"Stop worrying! As long as you behave, no one will dislike you." Yi Luowa put the gun back into its case. "Alright, let’s go check on the kids."
"Okay, I’ll just watch—I won’t touch the little ones," You said, carefully picking up the case as she followed Yi Luowa out of the basent.
Lady Jing Ya and Tong Yao were each holding one of the little ones in the living room, chatting. When Tong Yao saw them co in, she smiled and asked, "Was shooting for the first ti scary?"
