"You want to act, but you need the opportunity first!" Yuan Hang’s smile disappeared instantly. "Don’t delay the ti to treat Lieutenant General Leng’s illness. Surrender your weapons imdiately!"

Two warriors of the Reapers glanced at Leng Chuting. Seeing her nod, they reluctantly handed over their weapons.

It wasn’t until the alarm stopped blaring that Yuan Hang let people into the tent. The doctor conducted a detailed examination on Leng Chuting. The final diagnosis was consistent with what the other side’s doctor reported: pneumonia. Once the test results ca out, Tong Airui rushed into the tent. "Tingting, start with an IV first. Once your condition has stabilized, I’ll arrange for people to send you back to the country."

Leng Chuting nodded slightly. "This seems to be the only option."

"Tingting, I brought a set of pajamas for you. Change into them before setting up the IV." Yi Luowa glanced at Tong Airui, who imdiately understood and ushered everyone out of the tent.

The male doctor who was preparing dication glanced at Kou’er, who was wearing a mask. "You handle the dication preparation. I need to step out for a mont."

Kou’er nodded and took the dicine bottles from the doctor’s hands.

Yi Luowa noticed that only the three of them were left inside the tent. She reached out to unbutton Leng Chuting’s clothes.

Leng Chuting’s hand moved slightly.

Yi Luowa smiled. "Tingting, can you sit up? I need to help you change clothes."

"I’ll try." Leng Chuting struggled to sit up.

Kou’er glanced at her and moved closer to Yi Luowa. This distance was the safest; it allowed her to respond imdiately to any sudden events.

However, Kou’er underestimated Leng Chuting’s capabilities. Just as Tong Airui ntioned, even if Leng Chuting had only one breath left, she could still deal with soone effortlessly—let alone when her target was Yi Luowa.

Leng Chuting moved, Kou’er reacted, and Yi Luowa didn’t stay idle. The three of them sprang into action almost simultaneously, and at this mont, it was all about speed.

In the end, Leng Chuting was just half a beat faster!

Leng Chuting locked Yi Luowa’s neck with one arm, and a pair of dical scissors materialized in her hand at so unknown mont. She held the scissors against Yi Luowa’s neck and yelled at Kou’er, "Step back!"

The shout imdiately brought Tong Airui, who was outside the tent, rushing in.

Kou’er was already forced back to the edge of the tent when Tong Airui entered.

Ignoring Tong Airui’s darkened face, Leng Chuting spoke directly to Yi Luowa: "Luowa, I’m sorry. I’m left with no choice. Please bear with ."

Yi Luowa chuckled lightly. "I thought Tingting wouldn’t stoop to this. Yet today, you’ve taught another lesson. Thank you."

Tong Airui cautiously eyed the scissors in Leng Chuting’s hand. "Tingting, be careful! Please don’t hurt my wife. If you need a hostage, take instead. Let Luowa go."

"Only an idiot would choose you as a hostage!" Leng Chuting coldly glared at Tong Airui. "If you want to release your wife, you need to do exactly as I say."

Tong Airui frowned slightly. "Fine, tell ."

"Raise the white flag and surrender."

"Alright!" Tong Airui agreed without hesitation.

"Tong Airui, I forbid you to accept that condition! I’d rather fight to the death than let you surrender!" Yi Luowa’s eyes turned red imdiately.

Tong Airui waved gently with his hand. "Sweetheart, if Tingting were holding a training weapon, I wouldn’t agree to her conditions. But what she has in her hand is the real deal. I’m afraid she might hurt you..."

"This exercise isn’t just about you. If you lose this honor to save , a lot of people will be disappointed in you! You’d better discuss it with everyone before making this decision." Yi Luowa said, flashing a aningful look at Tong Airui.

Tong Airui stared coldly at Leng Chuting. "Lieutenant General Leng, while I’m gone, you’d better not harm Luowa. Otherwise, you won’t make it out of this tent alive!"

Leng Chuting smiled. "Airui, your feelings for Luowa are deep indeed. Rest assured, I’d never harm her."

Tong Airui gave Yi Luowa a deep look before retreating out of the tent. But he wasn’t planning to discuss surrender. He intended to find the ideal sniping position as quickly as possible to eliminate Leng Chuting with one shot—or "neutralize" her—and thereby rescue his wife.

Leng Chuting scanned the surroundings cautiously and said to Kou’er, "You should leave too. I want to have a chat with Luowa."

"I’m not leaving!" Kou’er’s face was bright red with anger.

"Kou’er, step outside." Yi Luowa attempted to look at Kou’er but found it difficult due to the tight chokehold. She slapped Leng Chuting’s hand. "Cough, cough... Tingting, ease up a bit. I can barely breathe."

"Just go!" Leng Chuting tilted her head toward Kou’er.

Kou’er hesitated for a mont but finally stord out of the tent, sulking.

Once left alone in the tent, Leng Chuting loosened her grip slightly. "Luowa, do you think Airui will surrender?"

"Never!" Yi Luowa moved her neck a little.

Imdiately, Leng Chuting tightened her hold again.

Yi Luowa puffed her cheeks in frustration. "Tingting, ease up! It’s not a real battlefield, and I’m not your enemy. I’m just a weak little woman. Why are you so paranoid?"

"You’re a cunning little fox. One cannot afford to let down their guard." Leng Chuting replied but loosened her grip slightly.

"Tingting, are you really ill or just pretending? You’re so sick yet strong enough for this..."

Leng Chuting twitched her lips slightly. "Of course, I’m really sick. Otherwise, that monkey Tong Airui would see through any trick imdiately. Your Tong Airui really is despicable! Surrounding us in the jungle and even blasting away our last ergency dicine box. Do you think I’d be this sick otherwise?"

"Hahaha..." Yi Luowa burst into unrestrained laughter.

"Stop laughing!" Leng Chuting huffed coldly. "I’m going to teach him a lesson today. He bullied , so now I’ll bully him properly."

Yi Luowa pouted. "Tingting, it’s just an exercise. Why so serious? I really don’t understand you people."

Leng Chuting cast her a glance. "If you don’t understand us, why didn’t you let Tong Airui surrender?"

"Whether to surrender isn’t his decision alone. He needs everyone’s input. Besides, isn’t this how it always goes in TV dramas? The hero’s wife gets taken hostage but still displays great courage, no?" Yi Luowa grinned playfully at Leng Chuting.

Leng Chuting quickly moved the scissors further away from her. "Don’t move recklessly! What if I accidentally hurt you?"

"I know you wouldn’t actually harm , Tingting." Yi Luowa smirked. "By the way, Tingting, I have a fun toy in my pocket that you can bring back for your little one, Mianmian."

Leng Chuting cast her a wary eye.

Yi Luowa pouted. "Co on, I’m just a car chanic. I don’t have weapons on . Besides, you’ve got under control. What trick could I possibly pull off? Here, I’ll show you—Duoduo and Yakov love this little gadget."

"Once this is wrapped up, show ." Leng Chuting could sense the critical nature of things and didn’t want unnecessary complications. But Yi Luowa had already reached into her pocket.

Leng Chuting furrowed her brows slightly and pressed the scissors against Yi Luowa’s neck. "No funny business!"

"No tricks. Look, Tingting." Yi Luowa pulled out a squishy toy—a chubby roly-poly doll. "Tingting, this little guy is super soft and squeezable. When you pinch it, it laughs. Your Mianmian would love it."

Seeing it was indeed just a toy, Leng Chuting allowed a faint smile. "Thanks. I’ll bring it back for him once I finish my business."

Leng Chuting raised her voice and shouted toward the outside, "Airui, have you finished discussing your surrender conditions yet?"

As soon as she finished speaking, a loud "bang" erupted, leaving Leng Chuting staring in stunned disbelief.
