Mianmian tilted her head and looked at the King of Beidi, "If Mianmian lives here, will Mommy be able to find Mianmian when she cos back?"
Joyina’s eyes turned red, and she quickly covered her mouth, throwing herself into Mi Chenshuo’s arms.
Mi Chenshuo held her tightly, and silent tears stread down both their faces.
The Queen of Beidi walked up to the grandmother and granddaughter duo, smiling as she said, "No matter where Mianmian is, Mommy will always find you!"
Mianmian grinned widely, "Then will Uncle and Aunt stay with Mianmian here too?"
"Uncle and Aunt have work; they need to return to Xiawu, but they’ll co back often to see Mianmian," the Queen of Beidi gently stroked Mianmian’s little cheek. "Yesterday, Grandma took you to see that kindergarten. Did Mianmian like it?"
"Yes!" Mianmian nodded vigorously. "There were so many children there, lots of toys, and the teachers and kids were very nice to Mianmian."
"If Mianmian stays here, we’ll go to school there, and you’ll see the children and teachers every day. Plus, when you co ho from school, Grandpa will take you to ride the white horse, and there are lots of little animals in the palace that are also Mianmian’s friends. If you leave, they’ll be very sad."
Mianmian seed a little torn, sitting on the King of Beidi’s shoulder. She turned her head toward Joyina’s room, "Grandma, I want to ask Aunt and Uncle. If they want to stay, I’ll stay."
Joyina heard Mianmian wanted to find her and quickly wiped away her tears before pushing the door open and coming out.
"Mianmian, Aunt has a task for you now: take good care of Grandpa and Grandma for Aunt, can you do that?"
Mianmian raised her hand high and dragged out her voice, "Caaaan——"
Mianmian stayed behind, and before Mi Chenshuo and Joyina returned to Xiawu, the King of Beidi held a palace feast and formally crowned Mianmian as Princess Mianyi.
Upon hearing the news from Xiawu, everyone felt this was truly the best arrangent.
Hao Tian and Beidi didn’t go to war, leaving Tong Airui with so downti, and the next day, he accompanied Yi Luowa and the others to Country S.
Ni Lu’s recovery was improving more and more. Jack ntioned that her monts of confusion were becoming fewer, and occasionally, she could even manage the business at the company.
During the days Yi Luowa spent in Country S, Ni Lu was radiant every single day, and her attitude toward Youyou wasn’t like the dismissal she showed in the past.
Once, she even jokingly asked Jack if he would have married her if she hadn’t undergone costic surgery and just looked like Youyou.
Jack replied with a laugh that he would love her no matter what she looked like.
Ni Lu felt Jack was getting better at talking, and delightedly ran off to tell Yi Luowa.
Yi Luowa chuckled, "You raised him well."
"Exactly! To get your dad to this level, I put in so much effort. He’s so tongue-tied—he couldn’t say a single sweet thing before." Ni Lu said as she glanced into the distance, where Jack was talking to Youyou. Her brows furrowed in annoyance. "What’s been with your dad these days? He’s constantly revolving around Youyou, as if she’s his own daughter."
Yi Luowa was stunned, "Mom, Youyou resembles you. Maybe Dad feels familiar and naturally wants to chat with her more."
Ni Lu pouted, "Your dad is just clueless. His own daughter is right here, yet he doesn’t spend ti with you and instead sticks around soone else’s kid. Also, I’ve noticed your two brothers are just like him. Luowa, don’t get mad at them, okay?"
Yi Luowa twitched the corners of her lips, "Mom, I wouldn’t get mad. Youyou is pretty pitiful. It’s good if soone cares for her and likes her—makes happy, not angry. You’re free too, so go chat with Youyou more; she’s really entertaining."
"Ah... kids without a mother sure are pitiful. When she first ca to your family, she wasn’t very likable. That outfit of hers—I couldn’t stand it. But now, she’s changed her style and beco much more sensible. I quite like her now."
"My mom is the most kind-hearted—I knew you wouldn’t dislike Youyou." Yi Luowa smiled and kissed Ni Lu’s cheek. She was a little worried about when she could finally reunite this unfortunate mother and daughter.
After staying in Country S for two days, the group returned to Xiawu.
Four people left, but when they ca back, there was an entire family. Tong Yao seed happier and smiled more and more often after seeing Ai Ni.
Everyone had gathered for Yi Weiyang and Huo Li’s wedding, and the day before the wedding, Yi Luowa had invited everyone to the estate.
Although Yi Weiyang didn’t want anything extravagant, given his status, it was inevitable that many people would co.
Preliminary estimates put the number of wedding guests at nearly a hundred tables. Uncle Li was dumbstruck at the ti. Second Uncle ntioned that based on the invitations sent out, around twenty tables would suffice. But what about the extra eighty-plus tables? How should that be arranged?
Fortunately, Tong Airui anticipated this might happen and reserved spots early at the Bastu Tribe.
Just as everything was settled, another problem arose at the church. When the bride and groom were exchanging rings, the rings went missing.
"Luowa, the rings?" Huo Li turned to look at Yi Luowa sitting among the guests.
Yi Luowa glared at her. If it weren’t for her wedding day, Yi Luowa would have smacked her!
Yi Luowa pointed to her neck.
Huo Li slapped her forehead and quickly pulled out a red string from her wedding gown. The other end of the string was tightly tied to two diamond rings.
Ai Ni laughed and said, "Huo Li is so funny!"
Little Raindrop chuckled too, "Weren’t you the one supposed to keep the rings safe for her?"
Yi Luowa scoffed, "She said my mory was bad and worried I’d lose them—but look who actually has the worse mory!"
Everyone laughed and turned their gazes back to the bride and groom on stage.
In Yi Luowa’s mory, her second uncle smiled more today than any other day. As for Huo Li, she didn’t stop grinning the entire ti. Seeing her second uncle and his friend finally find their happiness made her happier than anything else.
The estate was bustling for two days before everyone went their separate ways.
You Jia and Ai Ni had to visit Country H and only stayed for two days here.
Little Raindrop didn’t bring her two children along this ti and didn’t dare stay long, leaving for Soya the next day.
Yi Luowa, worried about Tong Yao feeling sad again, stayed by her side at all tis.
Tong Yao smiled and said, "It’s fine this ti. It really didn’t hurt as much as last ti. Go handle your own matters—don’t you and Rui’er have to go to Eagle tomorrow afternoon? Did you pack everything?"
"All packed. Actually, I don’t need much. Once I’m there, I’ll just be wearing my uniform." Yi Luowa smiled. "Mom, don’t worry too much about us. As soon as the big competition ends, I’ll co back with Tong Airui to see you."
Tong Yao sighed, "How can I not worry? The big competition is dangerous, so take care to stay safe, and try to stay close to Rui’er."
"I will. I’ll be careful." Yi Luowa nodded with a smile.
"Yaoyao..." Ning Mingxi ca running in like the wind.
Yan Zi and Ni Lu followed closely behind.
"What’s the matter? Is Dad unwell?" Tong Yao froze for a mont. They had just co back from visiting her father, and rushing in like this, she couldn’t help thinking of bad things.
"Dad’s fine!" Ning Mingxi cald herself, "I ca to deliver great news..."
Ning Mingxi deliberately paused, wanting Tong Yao to guess.
"Fourth Sister-in-law, Seventh Sister-in-law is pregnant!" Youyou dashed in like a little train.
"Pfft." Tong Yao laughed and pushed Ning Mingxi playfully. "You wanted to keep guessing, but Youyou told everything. Okay, I know now—you’re going to be a grandma——"
Tong Yao dragged out her voice and stood up with a smile. "You can relax and head back to Country Z."
Ning Mingxi laughed, "My daughter-in-law is pregnant; why would I go back? I need to take care of her for a few days."
"You!" Yan Zi smirked, "You should just go sowhere else and relax!"
Ning Mingxi gave Yan Zi a glare, "Don’t underestimate —I’m good at taking care of people."
"You can stay for a few days, but you should head back afterward. Don’t leave Big Brother there by himself. Shanshan will be fine with us around." Tong Yao pursed her lips into a smile. "Though I do believe you’ll take good care of Shanshan."
"Ugh, I can’t deal with you!" Ning Mingxi huffed. "Where’s Mom? I’ll go tell her the good news so she can be happy too."
Yan Zi chuckled, "Go ahead. Later, we’ll have Luowa post online so the whole world knows you’re going to be a grandma!"
"You’re all just jealous and envious!" Ning Mingxi laughed as she pushed open Lady Jing Ya’s door.
When Long Che returned that evening and confird that Jimo Shanshan was really pregnant, he shot a sideways glance at Tong Aino.
Tong Aino edged closer to Tong Airui, hoping to shift his father’s attention to his brother.
Long Che gave him a sinister look and said, "Hurry it up!"
Tong Aino pouted and silently nodded.
Long Che turned to Tong Airui, "What ti are you leaving tomorrow?"
"Leaving at midnight."
Long Che raised a brow slightly. "I heard Z Country is led by Tingting and Soya by John. The two of them participating together doesn’t bode well for you—you need to watch out."
Tong Airui chuckled, "No worries. I’ll make sure one of them is taken out before they can even team up."
