Yi Luowa and Connie were covered head to toe in flour, but they still thought the other didn’t have enough on their face. Grabbing more flour in their hands, they sared it vigorously onto each other’s faces.

"Stop causing trouble!" Connie grabbed Yi Luowa, refusing to let her escape.

Yi Luowa shielded her face, trying to stop her from saring more.

Tong Yao chuckled, "Might as well bake you two into a cake while you’re at it."

Connie turned towards Tong Yao and said, "Auntie, Luowa started provoking first, so bake her instead."

"If there’s baking involved, you’ll both be going together – serves you right for running wild!" Ai Ni giggled as she clung to her mom’s shoulder.

"Hehe, all right, I’ll clean up the battlefield while you make the cake. Don’t forget, I want strawberry flavor!" Yi Luowa said, grabbing a cloth to start wiping the counter.

Tong Yao quickly shouted, "Little rascal, put that down imdiately! Let the helpers clean up. If it’s strawberry cake you want, I’ll make it for you later. Luowa, you and Connie co out right now!"

Yi Luowa looked around the ssy kitchen, hesitating about whether she should leave.

Tong Yao walked in and said, "You two, go wash your ssy little faces."

Yi Luowa stuck out her tongue at Connie, and the two of them held hands and ran out.

Tong Yao shook her head with a smile. Knowing Yi Luowa’s mischievous nature, it wasn’t surprising she’d cause such trouble. But Connie rarely acted up like this – what had gotten into both kids today?

While the kitchen was being cleaned up by the helpers, Tong Aino provided an answer to his mom.

Turns out, it actually wasn’t Yi Luowa who started it—Connie had been the one to provoke her. The two girls had been idly sitting around when Connie started playing with Yi Luowa’s sleeve. She pulled it up and revealed a purplish mark that looked a lot like a love bite.

Yi Luowa explained it was just from bumping into sothing by accident, but Connie was being stubborn today, insisting it was indeed a love bite.

Later, when Long Che ca out of the study, the two girls stopped talking about it. But once they entered the kitchen, the battle broke out again.

Tong Yao chuckled, "Your brother’s going to be in deep trouble today."

Tong Aino smirked and said, "Dad’s always prepared – good thing he installed soundproofing, or we wouldn’t be able to sleep if they started fighting."

Tong Yao slapped him lightly, laughing, "You won’t even be able to keep up with your brother at this rate."

Tong Aino laid back on the sofa with a comically gloomy expression and said, "I’m not as capable as your eldest son. He eats whatever he wants, while I’m over here starving myself half to death for a bite of at!"

"In this house, is there anyone who dares deprive you of eating at?" Tong Airui laughed as he walked in.

Ai Ni glanced at him and imdiately burst into laughter.

"Do I look like a stand-up codian to you? You see and instantly laugh!" Tong Airui stepped closer to his younger sister, sizing her up for a mont. "Not bad, you haven’t lost weight. Looks like You Jia is taking pretty good care of you."

"Brother, I think my sister-in-law’s lost plenty of weight though. Is that your doing, wearing her out?" Ai Ni held back laughter as she stared at Tong Airui, curious about his response.

Tong Airui raised an eyebrow slightly. "? Tire her out? She spends all day running errands and has nothing wrong with her. But co nightti, it’s either this ache or that pain."

Tong Yao rembered her own "ordeal" with Long Che and how she’d use such excuses to dodge him. She couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

The three brothers instantly turned to look at her.

Tong Yao cleared her throat and addressed her eldest son with mock seriousness, "Don’t push too hard next ti, or you’ll annoy Luowa enough to cut off your fun altogether."

Tong Airui looked at his mom, aghast. She was surprisingly bold today—she’d never talked about such matters so openly before.

"Stop looking at like that!" Tong Yao scolded him with a glare, then turned to her younger son, still sprawled on the sofa. "And you, step up your ga! You can’t keep relying on girls to make the first move. At this rate, when will I ever get to hold a granddaughter?"

Tong Aino raised a finger at his mom before turning to Ai Ni and asking, "Did you drink with Mom upstairs just now?"

Ai Ni imdiately shook her head. "No way! Mom’s probably been triggered by sothing..."

"And you, Ai Ni!" Tong Yao added with a sharp tone, "Don’t move forward an inch – stay just as you are, okay?" With that declaration, she got up and walked back into the kitchen.

The brothers exchanged glances, then burst into laughter they couldn’t suppress.

"Where’s your wife?" Once they’d laughed enough, Tong Airui asked Ai Ni.

"Where’s You Jia?" Ai Ni asked Tong Aino.

Tong Aino snorted at the two of them, raised his hand, and pointed upstairs and then at the study.

Tong Airui quickly headed upstairs.

Ai Ni glanced toward the study but didn’t move.

"Why don’t you go find your sweetheart?" Tong Aino teased him sarcastically.

Ai Ni pursed his lips, "He’s busy working. What would I do? Sit there staring at docunts and give myself a headache?"

"Docunts give you a headache? Then just look at You Jia instead. He’s so handso—debonair and charming. Staring at him definitely won’t give you a headache."
