Connie was originally wearing a knee-length dress, but who knows what Tong Aino did—now it looked like a grass skirt, torn into strips. As Connie moved slightly, her slender, fair legs were exposed.
Yi Luowa handed so clothes to Connie with a smile, "Tong Aino’s pretty talented, huh? He managed to tear the skirt with such artistic flair without using any tools. Connie, I’ve got to hand it to you—you didn’t even put up a fight despite his antics."
Tong Yao shook her head helplessly, "This girl, getting shoved around by your fifth brother like this, doesn’t she ever get angry?"
Yi Luowa and Teng Ai Ni exchanged amused smiles. Teng Ai Ni whispered, "Sis-in-law, if my brother bothered you like this, could you put up with it?"
Tong Aino swaggered into the dining room, muttering that if nobody had saved him food, he’d find sothing for himself.
Teng Ai Ni shook her head. "I’ve got etings with clients later—no ti."
Yan Zi, who had been quiet, finally spoke with a chuckle, "This girl is hopeless—she’s in love with Number Five down to her bones. Her words may sound tough, but her heart doesn’t obey her mouth at all."
Yi Luowa sighed, "Where did your courage vanish overnight? Oh, Ai Ni, have you noticed—both of their lips are healed now!"
"Your brother said three patients wouldn’t fit on the private jet, so he got two additional planes—travelling separately will have to do. You all talk; I’m going to pack."
"Even if you wanted to, you couldn’t—just let them figure themselves out. But seriously, Luowa is the lucky one in this family—marrying Old Four, who actually knows how to cherish his wife."
"Even if you were, there’s nothing to be ashad of—you should be worrying about him." Teng Ai Ni sat beside her with a smile and handed her a glass of milk. "There’s nothing much going on today—later, my dad and the others are heading out for the parade; we can stay ho and watch the live broadcast, sound good?"
"True, Luowa’s got good fortune!" Tong Yao laughed as she stood up. "Yan Zi, when’s the press conference scheduled for?"
When the three of them ca downstairs, Tong Yao began organizing for a al. Connie glanced out the door, and Tong Yao grinned, "Don’t worry about him—I’ve saved him so food."
"Whose heart ever follows their mouth?" Tong Yao remarked with a wry smile. "Kids will live their own lives—I’m staying out of it."
.
Laughing, the two of them continued chatting away until Connie erged in her new outfit, prompting them to finally stop.
Luowa said Tong Aino had gone to buy her clothes! Connie smiled quietly, took the clothes, and headed into the bathroom.
Yi Luowa was just as puzzled—did this guy really fail to find clothes and bring back all her belongings instead?
Connie’s face instantly flushed red to her ears. "Aunt, I wasn’t worrying about him."
"He’s back~" Just as Yan Zi finished speaking, Mi Chenxuan swaggered in with a backpack slung over his shoulder.
"If he wasn’t participating, he’d already be back." Yan Zi rubbed her neck. "Looking for that little troublemaker has nearly given a stiff neck."
Yan Zi squinted at him suspiciously, "Why are you back at this hour?!"
Yi Luowa gritted her teeth and nodded, "I dread about you—next ti, I’ll make ti to properly spoil you."
Mi Chenxuan turned to Yi Luowa with a wounded expression, "Ow—help rub it."
"What about you then? Could you co?" Connie asked pitifully.
Connie hesitated for a mont, and Tong Aino’s voice ca from the doorway, "Not Raman."
Tong Aino gave her a deep look and motioned for her servant to leave.
As the live broadcast began, the cara panned over the stage, showing Long Che, You Jia, and Monica. Yet, Mi Chenxuan was noticeably absent from the formation. Yi Luowa pouted unhappily, "Old Eight isn’t participating in the parade squad?"
"I was in solitary for two days and just got released—what, you wanted to stay locked up longer? Mom, it was great! Solitary ant eating solo, sleeping solo—even had people waiting on for all the basics." Mi Chenxuan laughed as he shrugged off his backpack and winked at Yi Luowa, "Missed while I was gone?"
Ultimately, Connie went out with Tong Aino.
Teng Ai Ni glanced at Connie and asked with a grin, "Did my fifth brother apply dicine for you?"
"Understood, Duke Aino," the servant responded solemnly before stepping aside.
Teng Ai Ni saw Yi Luowa hesitating and physically dragged her back.
"Luowa, later could you co with ?" Connie asked Yi Luowa as she watched him leave, clearly seeking help.
Connie nervously fidgeted with her skirt hem.
Connie’s pout deepened.
"How would I know if he did?!" Yi Luowa turned her head, trying to avoid letting Chenxuan pick up any hints.
Breakfast was quick. Afterward, Long Che and the three other n were sent off. Connie’s servant entered the room, "Princess, Qiao Xi’s envoy called to ask if you’re returning to Raman or heading to Xiawu tomorrow?"
Mi Chenxuan chuckled knowingly, "Tough luck! Hahaha... This is a private conversation between us—we’ll talk later."
Connie hurriedly protected her skirt.
"We’re family—no need for thanks," Tong Yao chuckled. "I didn’t bring much with this ti—shouldn’t take both of us to pack. You hand it over here; go watch your broadcast peacefully."
Yi Luowa patted her hand consolingly, "Tong Aino isn’t taking you to storm the gates of hell. Just go with him—it’ll be fine."
Yi Luowa followed her upstairs, "Mom, let help you pack. After we’re done here, I’ll head back to the hospital to tidy up—I won’t be back tonight. Oh, right, tell Dad to get one less plane from Uncle."
Tong Yao shot her a glare, "What do you know?! The two of you wait here for Connie—I’m going downstairs to see if those three n are in a hurry to head to the plaza and whether they’ve eaten yet."
Tong Aino put the suitcase in front of Connie, "Early morning—the Minola Mall wasn’t even open yet. Just wear whatever you like from my sister-in-law’s wardrobe here for now. Pick sothing that suits you, and I’ll take you shopping when the stores open."
Yi Luowa smacked him twice forcefully, "There! I’m starting to think you’re pretty bad—detention for mischief, and now you’re saying you did it for . What’s that supposed to an?"
"Look at you blushing—you must’ve seen it!" Mi Chenxuan leaned closer, "Did my Fourth Brother see it too?"
Connie quickly shot her a glance, "He said if I didn’t apply it, he’d tear the top part of the dress too."
Connie turned to look toward the door and saw Tong Aino carrying a suitcase. Her brow furrowed slightly—it was familiar. She had seen it at the hospital with Yi Luowa before. Didn’t he go out to buy her clothes? Why did he co back with Yi Luowa’s suitcase?
After Connie’s servant had stepped out, Tong Aino propped his hands on his knees and bent down to scrutinize her for a long mont before speaking darkly, "You know what happens when you refuse to talk, don’t you?"
"Tomorrow. The test results co out at nine, and the press conference is scheduled for ten. If you need to leave early, go ahead—I’ll be back ho by the afternoon anyway."
"No need to spoil —just treat well, think about more often, and hang out with when you’ve got ti. Then we’re good." Mi Chenxuan scooted closer to her, attempting to drape an arm around her shoulder, only to get smacked away by Yan Zi. "Don’t act like you’re all that! Tell , what’s solitary confinent all about?"
"Oh, Mom, thank Dad on my behalf, then."
Yi Luowa nudged her with a grin, "Not intervening is fine, but ’no matter what happens,’ we’re still avoiding it!"
"I’m not talking to you!" Yi Luowa leaned back in annoyance, furrowing her brow. "You didn’t watch sothing inappropriate back at base and get caught, did you?"
They both shook their heads simultaneously.
"Boys look better with a tan—healthy and strong," Tong Yao chid in with a word of encouragent.
Teng Ai Ni chuckled, "I think she’s actually thrilled to let my fifth brother ss with her! Let them do whatever they want in the future—it’s driving you mad, but they’re over there enjoying themselves. Didn’t you see? The mont you hit my fifth brother earlier, she was heartbroken."
"And you?"
Connie stayed silent, her face tense and unreadable—just like last night.
"Of course it was for you!" Mi Chenxuan grinned mischievously and nudged her, "Didn’t you see what I sent to my Fourth Brother?"
Teng Ai Ni rubbed her temple—it seed Connie’s bravery was fleeting. She was clearly dood to be completely under Fifth Brother’s control!
"Sure, maybe we’ll even spot Old Eight." Yi Luowa said with a bright smile.
"Aunt, no need to dig—this guy got locked up!" Teng Ai Ni extended her long leg and gave Mi Chenxuan a hard kick. "Spill! Were you stealing or screwing around with soone?"
Yan Zi sighed, "I wonder how much that kid’s been sunburnt by now."
"What’s the point in watching that stuff? Waste of ti. I was researching for you and Fourth Brother—needed to help with so lessons. But oops—sent it over and got imdiately discovered by Sister Tingting. Next thing I knew, I was locked up." Mi Chenxuan sniffed at his arm, "No wonder you keep your distance—look, I haven’t even showered yet."
Tong Aino straightened up. "After fooling around all night, I’m starving. Mom, you didn’t save breakfast, did you?"
Ha ha...
With that, Tong Yao hurriedly left the room.
Your dad included your uncle’s jet in the plan, and it still wasn’t enough space. This side has more people. Your dad said the planes brought in for your uncle’s side are specifically for transporting injured patients. Even though it’s only a six-hour journey, nobody wants them to suffer."
Yi Luowa smirked, "If you ask , you two are a classic case of the willing giver and receiver. Go change into these clothes. If they don’t fit, just make do for a bit; Tong Aino went off to buy you new clothes."
Yi Luowa was about to agree when Teng Ai Ni tugged her aside with a teasing smile, "My brother’s a petty guy—if he finds out my sister-in-law went out with my fifth brother, he might co back and leave a mark or two on this family!"
Teng Ai Ni nodded in agreent, "Exactly. Let’s stay out of it—no matter what happens, we’re not intervening!"
"No, I didn’t!" Tong Yao glared at him indignantly.
"Right on target, Aunt!" Teng Ai Ni gave Yan Zi an approving nod.
Yi Luowa exhaled with relief, "Finally, Tong Aino says sothing sensible."
Yi Luowa laughed, "But Connie likes Tong Aino so much that whatever he does seems great to her. In the future, we shouldn’t waste ti worrying about them—it only adds chaos to their lives."
"What do you think?" Yi Luowa’s face instantly turned red.
Connie pouted slightly, "I just didn’t want to stir up drama for the whole family."
Yan Zi pinched him hard, "You’re joking around happily while your career is circling the drain—do you even realize what you’ve done?!"
