"We have three days to the main day, Gideon. Please, I need you to give this Flash to Jewel, he knows what to do with it, please?" Ariel was sitting in her living room with Gideon, who looked like he didn't want to be there.
Gideon sat with his face removed from Ariel's, tapping his feet on the floor, "I've told you, Ariel, I don't want to et that guy anymore, he rocks my last nerve, and I might lose it with him, please, you can call him to co take it himself," he told Ariel.
Ariel sighed, "I'll call him, but it's not to ask him to co. He has his hands full with work, but I will call him, just to make sure he doesn't give you trouble, only?" She suggested.
Gideon scoffed and relaxed on the sofa.
Ariel failed Jewel's number and he answered on the first ring.
"Hello, Princess, what's up?" Jewel's voice was heard through the phone.
"Hi, Jewel, I'm sending my assistant to bring the flash to you; don't forget to copy all files okay? And the videos, upload them to the right system," Ariel instructed.
"Yeah, yeah, I got it," Jewel replied.
"And, one more thing, Jewel," Ariel stared at Gideon.
"Mhm?" Jewel humd.
"Treat my assistant right; he complained you insulted him the last ti; I don't know you to be that way; has he wronged you in so way?" She asked a smile creeping to her lips as an absurd thought crept into her mind.
Jewel went quiet for a while before replying, "Ah, Gideon? I did nothing to him. I was just being friendly, maybe he doesn't know how to associate with people, and that's why he felt the way. I was just being playful, really. But don't worry, I'll apologize to him when I see him, good?" He asked.
Ariel looked at Gideon and winked at him, "It's settled then; you'll see him in so minutes; bye," She ended the call.
"See?" She smiled at Gideon, "He's not that bad," She told him.
Gideon sighed and stood from the sofa, "I know I'm going to regret this," He stretched his hand to her, frowning.
Ariel chuckled, "Oh, you never can tell, you might beco best of friends. Thank you for agreeing, Gideon," She placed the Flash in his hand.
Gideon gave her a curt nod and turned away.
"Hold, on, do you have his contact?" Ariel stopped him.
"I don't need it," Gideon said and continued to leave.
"Alright, I've just sent it to your phone," She said.
Gideon paused and snapped his head to her, he saw her smiling and waking at him.
"See you later, Gideon," She told him.
Gideon felt like throwing a tantrum like a small kid, but he couldn't, he pushed down the feeling and walked out of the house.
"What are you talking about?" Aiden's voice made Ariel startle.
"Ah, hi baby, nothing. I was just giving him a few instructions regarding a project in my company," She stood and walked up to Aiden, hugging him.
Aiden hugged her, kissing her head. "Jace is still sleeping, want to try sothing new?" He smiled.
"Sothing new? Like what?" She asked him, caressing his face.
"How about you follow up to the room and find out?" He smirked at her.
"The room?" She raised a brow at him.
Aiden was about to respond when soone walked through his door.
"I think that sothing new has to wait, sweetheart," Ariel chuckled and stepped away from him.
"Am I interrupting sothing?" Mr. Sloan asked as he walked further into the living room.
"Yes," Auden replied.
"No, good morning, Dad. Do not mind Aiden, he's always moody in the morning," She went and hugged the older man, smiling at him.
"Good morning, Ariel. Maybe he's hungry?" He asked, teasing his son.
"Yeah, definitely hungry," Ariel sent Aiden a aningful look.
Aiden sighed and lowered himself to the floor in front of the couch, "What are you doing here, Dad?" He questioned, covering his face with his hands and sighing deeply.
Ariel led Mr. Sloan to a chair and asked him to sit.
"Do I have to have a reason before I visit my daughter and grandson?" He asked, crossing his leg over the other.
Aiden felt emotionally damaged by his father, his daughter, and his Grandson, his father had said; what about his son? Did he not an anything to him?
"I see you have no son, Mr. Chaz, it's a pity," Aiden scoffed.
"Aww, don't be jealous, Baby; you know you're the most important to him," Ariel went and sat beside him, hugging his side.
"He's not, don't try to console him. I said what I said. Jace is the most important , he knows it too," Mr. Sloan announced.
"Do you hear that?" Aiden asked Ariel with a sad frown.
Ariel smiled nervously; now, how was she supposed to and the situation?
"Ah, well, look at it this way, it shows that he loves our son so much; it's all that matters, right?" Ariel smiled widely at Aiden.
"Yeah. It's cool," Aiden replied.
"I heard my mother visited you yesterday?" Mr. Sloan asked seriously.
Aiden scoffed, "Yeah," He answered.
Ariel nodded.
"You know, I've told her to stop causing trouble for both of you, but it seems like that girl she brought into our ho is really out for trouble," Mr. Slaon frowned, he never liked Moon.
He had observed her from the first day his mother brought her in. He knew her character because his ex-wife had the sa character. Pretentious and malicious. When he heard that Moon had carried Aiden's child, he wasn't really surprised because he knew that the girl never saw Aiden as a brother.
Just like Emily, Moon also wanted money and a statue.
"Don't worry, Dad, Moon is not a problem, she is being handled," Ariel assured.
"I hate to ntion her na, but Moon is just like Emily; she would stop at nothing until she gets what she wants. I just don't want you both to face unnecessary problems from that Moon. It's better to cut her off now, not when it will be very late," Mr. Sloan said with a frown.
"You've got all wrong, Chaz," Grandma Nari walked into the living room, holding Moon's hand beside her.
Aiden sighed, frustrated.
Was yesterday's visit not enough? And it isn't like he had forgiven her, why did she think it was okay to co to his house whenever she wanted? And why did she bring Moon again?
"Good morning, Grandma, please sit. What brings you here?" Ariel asked, placing her head on Aiden's shoulder, watching Moon's jealous flash across her eyes.
"I know that you will still be doubting Moon's change of heart, just like my son is doubting, I've brought Moon to spend ti with you all as a family, just like it used to be in the past," Grandma Nari went and sat down, Moon sitting beside her.
Ariel was the only one who knew that Moon didn't an any word she said about her repentance. The phone she used to clone Moon's and Hugo's phones had been beeping with unending ssages from Moon asking Hugo nurous questions about where he was, why he didn't complete his mission, and why he wasn't refunding her paynt.
And just this morning, she was begging him to help her get rid of Ariel in whatever way he wanted, even promising to pay double the price she paid before.
So, Ariel sat there, looking at Moon, acting all innocent and changed. She almost laughed at her, but she held it in; she was still playing along, letting Moon fool herself to the fullest.
"Aiden, I'm really sorry, Ariel, I'm sorry, I want you both to forgive ," She turned to Mr. Sloan, "Dad, please help -"
"I'm your father, Moon Grey, I'm the one who adopted you, and you know I never accepted you for once. Please, refrain from calling your father. Let's say that I did accept you as my child, how would you think I would feel knowing that my daughter had seduced my son just for status and money? I want no daughter of mine to be that way. You are not and will never be, le; let it sink in," Mr. Sloan stared at Moon with dissatisfaction.
Moon balled her fists beside her, she managed a forced smile, slowly nodding her head, "I guess I deserve this," She started crying and hid her face in Grandma Nari's side, sobbing.
Ariel looked at Aiden and they chuckled together. "I'm gonna go get Jace," He placed a kiss on her forehead and stood from the floor.
Moon stared at Aiden as he walked past her without sparing her glance.
Ariel sighed, "Well, Moon, I admire your openness, but I would advise you to use it to save us the pretense and get a life," She locked her eyes with Moon, "You know, I don't know why you think anyone would believe you, especially , you know what you did to three years ago, Moon, what do you think Grandma would say when I fell her everything you've done with Hugo?" Ariel asked darkly.
Moon froze; she swallowed hard, sweats broke out from her skin, and her hands slowly shook. She felt Grandma Nari's and Mr. Sloan's questioning gaze on her, her heart had long fallen into her stomach, and she felt lightheaded as if she wanted to faint.
She never expected Ariel to ever ntion Hugo's na in front of anyone; she thought Ariel had just been threatening her.
Hugo was a na that should have never been brought to light.
"Who is Hugo, Moon? And what happened three years ago?" Grandma Nari asked curiously.
