Late at night, Qin Chao brought soone back.

The girl was frail to the point of being misshapen, yet her abdon was swollen. Her whole being was in a bad state, with tangled hair and tattered clothing, and she even had a small rabbit mouth.

Aunt Li looked at her with concern, unsure of what to do, she said: "I’ll go invite Miss Su down!"

Qin Chao took out a cigarette and inhaled deeply.

Aunt Li went upstairs to ask Su Ruanruan to co down.

Su Ruanruan had been waiting for Qin Chao all along.

Hearing Aunt Li speaking outside, she put down her book and said to Bao Jingyan: "I’ll go down and take a look."

Bao Jingyan put on his coat and went downstairs with her.

Upon reaching downstairs, Su Ruanruan saw the pitiful girl, who was probably too scared and not quite coherent in speech.

Su Ruanruan treated her gently.

She carefully touched the girl’s belly, and the girl showed a hint of sorrow, indicating that she wasn’t completely ignorant.

Su Ruanruan asked Qin Chao to get a stethoscope to first check the girl’s health and then listen to the fetal heartbeat.

Aunt Li couldn’t help but ask, "How is it?"

Su Ruanruan’s face didn’t look good. She didn’t speak, but Aunt Li understood, fearing it wasn’t good.

The girl’s face showed terror.

She looked at the splendid hall and the many beautiful people.

She had never seen these before.

Knowing she was scared, Su Ruanruan beca even more gentle, softly saying, "Eat sothing first, then take a bath and change into clean clothes, I’ll help tidy your hair."

The girl was docile and agreed.

Aunt Li went to make so food, and Su Ruanruan said, "She hasn’t had anything nutritious for a long ti, make sothing light first."

Aunt Li thought that made sense.

Soon, she brought over a bowl of egg noodles and a glass of milk.

The girl was famished, devouring everything quickly.

Su Ruanruan didn’t let her eat more, instead went to find so clothes, along with unopened underwear.

The girl took a bath and her hair was cut to shoulder length.

She looked decent.

Su Ruanruan gently said, "Tomorrow I’ll take you to the hospital."

The girl’s eyes welled with tears.

She cried sorrowfully and suddenly hugged Su Ruanruan.

Su Ruanruan felt deeply saddened.

She didn’t know how many more girls like this were under He Jitang, neglected and victimized without being known.

She gently touched the girl’s head, asking her, "What’s your na?"

The girl shook her head: She had no na.

Su Ruanruan looked at Bao Jingyan.

His face was also suppressed, holding a white cigarette but hadn’t lit it.

Su Ruanruan lowered her eyes, saying to the girl: "From now on, your na is Bing’er, how about living with us?"

The girl couldn’t believe it, her eyes widened.

Su Ruanruan instructed Aunt Li, "Let Bing’er sleep in the room next to yours, so she can be looked after."

Aunt Li nodded, taking the child away.

That night, Bing’er slept on a bed for the first ti, touched the soft quilt, and felt the cool breeze.

Late at night she lay in bed, sobbing...

Su Ruanruan’s mood remained unsettled for a long ti.

She sat in the living room, holding a dical book, but stared blankly for a long ti.

Bao Jingyan ca over and took her book, "Don’t force yourself."

Su Ruanruan looked up.

Her eyes were slightly red, and her voice was nasal as she called his na: "Bao Jingyan!"

Bao Jingyan knew she was upset.

He stepped forward, gently holding her, and let her hold him.

Su Ruanruan was rarely vulnerable.

Sharing the sa heart, she needn’t disguise in front of him; she cried like a child: "Bao Jingyan, I used to think fate was unfair to , but seeing her, I realize true hardship."

Bao Jingyan treated her tenderly.

He was ten years older, and although Ruanruan was already a mature woman, at this mont he still cared for her like a parent and husband, comforting her.
