He Jitang gently closed the door.
He sneered, "Bao Jingyan, you truly are the most insidious man I’ve ever t."
Bao Jingyan didn’t back down either.
He laughed even colder, "He Jitang, you’re also the most shaless man I’ve ever seen! You’re a person who has everything, yet you insist on coveting soone else’s wife."
He Jitang lowered his eyes, "Not pretending anymore?"
Bao Jingyan indifferently played with a card.
He retorted, "What, are you going to make a move again?"
He continued, "He Jitang, you better think it through. If the three of us end up buried here together, the Bao Family still has several mbers, but your He family would have no descendants left."
He Jitang responded coldly, "You think I care about that?"
"You care!" Bao Jingyan said with certainty.
A USB appeared in his hand.
He said, "Inside here are the early-stage developnt data of Ci’an’s illness. I know you want to restart this project, but He Jitang, you’re an outsider. Even with Ruanruan, it’d take three years and she still wouldn’t reach this progress!"
He tossed the USB to He Jitang, "Choose between Ci’an and Ruanruan."
He Jitang caught the USB.
He squinted slightly, "Aren’t you afraid I’ll turn my back on you?"
Bao Jingyan chuckled lightly and responded, "Dealing with soone as shaless as Jitang, I naturally have a backup plan. If anything happens to or Ruanruan, the data on this USB will automatically be destroyed, no matter where you copy it or what thods you use!"
Murderous intent rose in He Jitang’s eyes.
Since youth, he rarely had rivals.
But Bao Jingyan continuously made him suffer losses.
An ailing young son, a beloved woman... He Jitang had no choice!
With a hint of red in his eyes, he gently asked Su Ruanruan, "Are you not going ho with Third Brother?"
Su Ruanruan spoke clearly to him.
She said, "Third Brother He, my heart is with Bao Jingyan."
He Jitang lowered his eyes and smiled softly.
After a mont, he softly said, "Did you already et? Why didn’t you leave back then, Fourth Sister? Were you hoping I would die?"
Su Ruanruan didn’t avoid the question, "Third Brother knows well in his heart!"
Those words shattered all of He Jitang’s pride!
He gritted his teeth, "Then let’s see Fourth Sister’s skills!"
With that, he gave her a deep look.
Both love and hate!
He turned and placed his hand on the doorknob, but then said in a low voice, "Ruanruan, back then I only thought it was ordinary."
After saying that, he left.
Su Ruanruan felt complicated, but she felt no guilt.
She owed nothing to He Jitang.
If not for him, she would be living peacefully in city B.
If not for him, Bao Jingyan wouldn’t have faced near death.
The only little bit of compassion she had for him ca from the elderly couple of the He family, and from Ci’an.
He Jitang’s ending wouldn’t be good, the elderly couple would lose their only son, and Ci’an would lose her closest relative.
Bao Jingyan walked over to her.
He understood that her emotions were complex, and he wasn’t feeling well either.
He deliberately teased her, "My Ruanruan, did your heart flutter?"
Su Ruanruan looked up at him.
He was still in the suit from the evening, his white shirt was still crisp, and his face remained handso.
His body didn’t carry any ssy scents.
It showed he took her words to heart.
Su Ruanruan felt a sweet sense of being cherished, she hugged his waist and said softly, "I won’t be moved by anyone else."
Bao Jingyan responded with a hum.
He gently said, "Miss Su, there’s no need to show your loyalty like this!"
His usual sharp tongue shattered the little romantic thoughts Su Ruanruan had inside.
She was sowhat dissatisfied.
Bao Jingyan, however, grabbed her hand and softly said, "Don’t make a fuss!"
His voice softened even more, "Ruanruan, let look at you properly."
