Logan stood up, eyes widening as he took in the sight of over two hundred weapons floating effortlessly in the air.

"Let's see..." Silas said, observing Logan. "Since you're tall, standard swords, daggers, and whips won't suit you well."

Sending around half of the weapons back to their racks, Silas continued.

"Let's start with so of the basic weapons now," he said, bringing forth a spear, longsword, greatsword, warhamr, staff, and longbow.

"Go ahead, try them out and see which one feels right," Silas said, motioning for Logan to begin.

Testing a few swings with each of them, Logan only found one weapon that felt like the blade really followed what he intended to do.

"The spear feels good," Logan told Silas. "But it still feels slightly off. The spearhead feels too light, and my grip feels slightly weird."

"The spearhead feels too light, huh," Silas said, contemplating for a mont before pulling forward three different kinds of spears.

"Maybe these suit you better," he said, pointing to the first one. "This is a glaive, the second one is a guandao, while the last one is a halberd."

"All of these have heavier blades and can both sweep and stab."

Looking at the glaive, Logan thought it resembled a sabre put on top of a long stick.

'Looks good,' Logan thought, admiring the glaive's design.

Swinging a few tis with the glaive, Logan imdiately felt the difference compared to a normal spear.

"The weight on the top of the spear is nice," Logan said, swinging it a few tis more.

"That's what I expected," Silas said, nodding, satisfied.

When he tried the guandao, the top-heavy blade threw off his balance. He barely gave the halberd a swing before setting it aside.

"This just feels like an axe stuck on a stick," he said, shaking his head.

"I think the glaive is perfect for ," Logan continued, grabbing the glaive again.

"Good choice," Silas nodded approvingly.

"Now that you've picked your weapon, let's send your body asurents and affinity to the weapons division," he said with a smile. "They'll forge one for training and another for real combat, both perfectly suited for your body."

"Actual combat?" Logan looked at Silas, surprised.

"What? You thought I wasn't going to bring you to a dungeon before the entrance exam?" Silas asked, smirking.

"Isn't it dangerous for to go to a dungeon?" Logan asked, not understanding Silas's logic.

"We are still far away from the point where you can enter a dungeon alone," Silas said, laughing. "There's no need to worry already."

Logan gave a small nod, a faint smile appearing on his face.

The rest of the day moved on quickly. Logan trained a little more with Silas until Edric arrived to help him train his affinity.

This ti, Edric had him create multiple fireballs and hurl them at targets nonstop. His accuracy improved by leaps, and controlling his mana beca easier.

After 30 minutes of continuously shooting fireballs without a break, Logan felt his core ache slightly.

"It's ti to stop," Edric said. "You had your breakthrough yesterday; it wouldn't be smart to keep pressuring your core now."

Nodding, Logan lowered his hand.

He looked at the scorched dummies in the distance, feeling satisfied. Even now, the flas burned brightly, showing no signs of fading anyti soon.

A quick glance at the cooldown tir floating beside his head told Logan it was almost ti.

'There's only half an hour left until I can spend money in the system again,' he thought, excited.

"Logan?" Edric asked, trying to get his attention.

"Yes?" Logan asked, snapping out of his thoughts.

"The university accepted your private assessnt," Edric said. "They'll be sending us more information later on."

"Ah," Logan smiled. "That's great."

Edric tapped on his watch before continuing.

"I'll need you to sign a few docunts for the university later," Edric said, reading through a list. "Also, so departnts need you to approve or decline new research paths or expansions."

Logan nodded. "That sounds good."

Having sent Logan the docunts, Edric prepared himself to leave.

"I'll be bringing your dinner here in 5 minutes," he said, walking through the door. "After that, I'll need to assist the investigation team with so restricted areas."

A few minutes later, he returned, taking with him not one but five full plates of different kinds of at. A rich aroma spread through Logan's room when the plates were placed down.

"Eat well," Edric said, smiling softly before leaving. "If you require anything else, send a ssage and I'll be here."

"Will do," Logan said, his mind already absent from the conversation and fully focused on the at.

After Edric left the room, Logan started digging in. He had never managed to eat such a large quantity of food before, but it felt like his body needed the food to survive.

'Normally I struggle with two plates,' he thought, having devoured three plates already. 'But it seems like that isn't the case any longer.'

A few minutes later, Logan sat back with his al completely finished.

'Amazing food,' he thought, his taste buds still in shock from all the different flavors they had tasted.

It wasn't just his taste buds that felt slightly different. 'It's like all my senses improved slightly after my breakthrough,' he thought. 'Maybe the heat from the breakthrough purged the impurities from my body?'

Logan hadn't gotten an exact answer, but neither did he care. Looking at the system cooldown approaching zero, he put his full attention to that instead.

[Cooldown: 00:00:00:32]

'Only 30 seconds left,' Logan thought, imagining what kind of rewards he would get this ti.

'I don't even know what I would hope for,' he thought hard. 'Maybe an extrely rare resource, or a good weapon?'

As the cooldown reached zero, the system interface flashed a golden light, waiting for Logan to spend sothing once again.

"Alright, I'll transfer 100 million from my liquid holdings to a different account Edric set up for ," Logan muttered. ''Then I'll let the system handle the rest.''

He didn't want the system to withdraw directly from the liquid holdings again since it could raise suspicion and spread more panic.

A few minutes later, the money arrived in Logan's new account.

"Alright," Logan said, excited. "Let's see what I get."

"System," he said. "Redeem 100 million dollars."

[Redeeming 100 million dollars....]

[Ding!]

[Congratulations! You have successfully received the Wings of Fire training manual!]

"What the..." Logan muttered, staring at the thick training manual now resting in his hand.
