Jas Moore was towering over Erin Darling and said aningfully, "Ugh, you just like . I can't forgive my wife if she betrays ."
"Really?" Erin exclaid. She knew Jas was an ambitious man. Thus, he couldn't give up sothing for the sake of beautiful won.
Erin chuckled and said, "Are you willing to break it off with her? Don't worry. I will give you more ti to deal with it."
Moore frowned when he heard the word "Deal." And then he asked, "Deal with it?"
"That's right. I know you neither marry nor betray ."
Moore couldn't understand why Erin was so confident.
He sneered, "I, Jas Moore, have only one wife, but it is not you."
"You" It was such a deep, deep shock to Erin. She was dazed. When she heard Jas said he had only one wife, she could feel that Jas does love Jessica.
"No! It is not true! Is Jas that I knew? Is he still ambitious? To be stronger and more ruthless, Jas once asked soone to give him evil power though it gave him a lot of pain. But now, he chooses Jessica, not his career. No! It is impossible.
Jessica must use a kind of evil magic. Otherwise, Jas won't give up his career and becos so gentle," thought Erin.
Erin looked horrified, and her eyes widened, staring at Jas and stamring, "Don't you afraid that you made the wrong choice?"
"No. I'm not afraid."
Erin was disappointed. She would have believed that Jas would compromise.
"Jas Moore! You will regret it!"
Jas stared at Erin without any particular expression and said, "Is there anything else you want to say?"
"Please send her out," Jas said to maids.
One of the maids who was slapped by Erin imdiately ran to the front of Erin. She didn't like Erin. Whenever Erin cos, she always looks arrogant and looks down at maids.
The maid finally got a chance to laugh at Erin, so she imdiately made a gesture and widened her mouth, saying, "Please, Miss Darling."
Erin was angry. She stamped her feet, snorted, and then went away.
The Third Floor
"Miss Clifford," Jas called while she put one hand on Jessica's shoulder.
Jessica was terrified.
She kept staring at Jas. After a while, she felt at ease and put her hand on her chest.
"I'm sorry to scare you, Miss Clifford."
Jessica shook her head.
Just now, when Jessica just finished brushing her teeth and washing her face, she went to the chicken to cook dumplings and heard Jas was saying sothing. Therefore, she just eavesdropped outside the door. She was too obsessed with the words.
Although she couldn't hear clearly, she got sothing. "They seem to talk about Jas's marriage," thought Jessica.
At that mont, a maid that Avery sent patted her shoulder. Soon, Jessica followed without hesitation.
The maid took Jessica to the corner and took a small bag from her pocket to Jessica, saying, "The Princess asked to give you the sleeping pill. You manage to let Mr. Moore take it, and then you can leave with ."
Jessica hesitated for a mont and then took over the sleeping pill.
Since Avery was afraid that Jas found it, the dicine was not the sleeping tablet, but sleeping powder.
Jessica understood. Avery was afraid that Jas would follow if Jessica would go out tomorrow. In this situation, she couldn't leave.
Therefore, Avery wanted Jas to fall asleep so that Jessica could sneak away.
Jessica held the dicine tight, put it into her pocket, and walked to the kitchen imdiately.
Erin left. Jas heard from a maid that Jessica was in the kitchen, so he walked toward the kitchen.
On the way to the kitchen, Jas picked up the sll of dumplings. When the maid saw Jas, she hurriedly explained, "Mr. Moore, I can't persuade Miss Clifford not to cook."
Jas looked over the counter. Jessica was holding a small plate with a tiny hand and a colander spoon with another hand picking up the dumplings from a pot.
Jessica changed her nightdress into a floral dress covered by an apron that Jas once wore. She tied her soft hair in a ponytail, revealing her long and beautiful neck.
Under the warm yellow light, Jessica looked like a good and pure housewife as if she were Jas's wife, who was cooking for him.
"Have you done it?" Jessica asked. Then she put the dumplings on the dining table, asking, "Would you like to eat dumplings?"
Jessica was nervous because she was not sure whether Jas would eat dumplings or not and whether Jas would find sothing in the dumplings.
Jessica's heart kept beating fast until she heard Moore said, "Yes, I'd like."
With a bowl, Jessica's hand shook. She imdiately put the bowl on the table and put her hand on her back to stay calm.
"Could you please give so dumplings?" Jas walked to Jessica and sat down.
Jessica bit her lips because she was very nervous.
"Could you?" Jas asked. Since he found Jessica didn't move, he thought, "Jessica is the daughter of the Cliffords, and she always enjoys high status. Thus, I guess she is unwilling to help ."
Jas stretched out his hand, grabbing Jessica to one side of his legs. Soon, he slled a faint scent from her body.
Jessica beca nervous, straightening her back.
When Jas touched her back with his big palm, Jessica shook.
"Are you nervous?" Jas asked.
"No, I'm not," Jessica said awkwardly, looking away from Jas. Since she was afraid that Jas found sothing wrong, she sat sideways on his lap and put her head on his chest.
"Are you shaking? It sounds like this."
Jessica tugged his coattails as if the coat would be broken.
Jessica still kept silent.
Jas ignored it and helped himself to a dozen dumplings.
It was the first ti that Jessica cooked dumplings that looked round and big.
Jas picked up the chopsticks and got a dumpling. Since the dumplings had just been done, water vapor ca out. Jas put it in front of his mouth and blew it, "Let have a try."
Jessica stared at Jas. When he opened the mouth and ate a dumpling, Jessica really wanted to stop him.
Suddenly, soone said outside the kitchen, "Miss Darling. Miss Daring. You"
"Is Erin Darling? She had left. Why does she co back?" thought Jessica.
Jessica wanted to stand up when she knew Erin was coming, but Jas held her tight and said, "Don't move."
Tuk. Tuk
Erin rushed into the room with high heels. She walked so fast that it looked like she was trotting. Soon, she stood in front of Jas and dropped the dumpling in his hand.
