Jun Moyan knew it had overeaten and was sleepy, and didn’t want to move, so he let it be, "Then you sleep first, I’m going to take a shower."
"ow~" Wen Xiao’ai obediently nodded, hugging the blanket and lying down quietly on the bed.
When Jun Moyan ca out after showering, Wen Xiao’ai had already fallen asleep.
He climbed into bed quietly, picked up its tiny body, placed it on his chest, covered it with a little blanket, then turned off the light and went to sleep...
The night gradually deepened—
A series of low, painful moans kept sounding in the room...
Feeling the little creature on his chest tossing and turning restlessly, Jun Moyan called out to it:
"Xiaoguai?"
"ow~"
Wen Xiao’ai lay on his chest, its small body curled into a ball, its little paws clutching its stomach, the voice trembling.
Realizing sothing was wrong with Wen Xiao’ai, Jun Moyan imdiately picked it up, sat up, and turned on the light.
"What’s wrong?" Holding its tiny body in his arms, Jun Moyan’s brow furrowed, his eyes revealing a look of concern.
"ow~"
The series of weak, milky cries made Jun Moyan’s heart rise in his chest.
"Does your stomach hurt?"
"ow~"
Jun Moyan reached out to touch its belly, bloated and swollen—it was clear that it was indigestion, a swollen belly.
Watching it whimpering in discomfort, Jun Moyan was filled with regret, blaming himself for having let it eat so much earlier to try to teach it a lesson.
He picked up the phone from the nightstand and dialed the Ghost ssenger’s number.
He had called three tis, and just as Jun Moyan was losing his patience, the phone was finally answered.
"Hello~ Who is it?" ca the Ghost ssenger’s groggy voice through the phone.
"Co to Wu Garden right away," Jun Moyan commanded in a stern voice.
"Not going..." the Ghost ssenger, without opening his eyes, turned over and continued to sleep, hugging the blanket.
"If you don’t show up within half an hour, face the consequences yourself."
The Ghost ssenger, holding the phone, turned over again, clearly agitated:
"Big brother, what ti is it, have you checked the ti? In the middle of the night, are you letting people sleep or not? And, wasn’t it the 15th yesterday, shouldn’t you be at the Jun Family now?"
"You have twenty-nine minutes and forty seconds left."
Jun Moyan said and then hung up the phone.
"Fuck!"
The Ghost ssenger almost threw his phone, sat up, and irritably raked his fingers through his hair: "Damn it, I must have owed you in my past life."
Angry, he tossed off the blanket, got out of bed, and rummaged through his drawers for his car keys.
Once outside the apartnt, he looked around the empty, eerily quiet neighborhood, even more infuriated, he stomped his foot.
He ran to the parking lot, found his car that hadn’t been driven in centuries, and sped toward Wu Garden...
Half an hour later—
The Ghost ssenger sat on the couch, looking at Jun Moyan holding the kitten in his arms, his teeth clenched so hard they could shatter, fists clenched tight, he hissed:
"I say, Third Young Master Jun, did you forget to bring your brain back from the Jun Family?"
"Is it any better?"
Jun Moyan held Wen Xiao’ai, his warm hand resting on its little belly, gently rubbing it, completely ignoring the complaining Ghost ssenger.
"ow~" Wen Xiao’ai responded weakly, a sound signifying it was not as uncomfortable as before.
"Couldn’t you just give it so digestive tablets?"
He had thought soone had died for such urgency.
"It’s three-thirty in the morning, are you doing this on purpose?" the Ghost ssenger was about to cry from frustration.
