But Gu Yao didn’t see it that way.
Ais didn’t enter the Gu Family’s gate, maybe because he was afraid of running into her second brother, which would cause trouble for both her and himself.
"So, are you free right now?" Ais glanced at the bag in Gu Yao’s hand, unable to hide a smile.
"Hmm... do you need sothing?"
"Last ti we didn’t get to eat, so I’ve reserved a table again. I wonder if you’re free."
"But the injuries on your face haven’t healed yet," Gu Yao implied.
"They’re already healed, don’t hurt anymore, the bruises will fade in a couple of days." Ais spoke eagerly, fearing Gu Yao would refuse if he was slow by two seconds. To prove he was being honest, he even reached out to touch his face, but he got excited and didn’t control the strength, causing him to hiss in pain suddenly.
"Hey, don’t..."
Gu Yao wanted to stop him but it was too late. Seeing Ais grimace in pain, she couldn’t help but laugh, finding his slightly cute action amusing, and her mood improved considerably.
Seeing Gu Yao laughing, Ais started giggling along, still talking.
"It really doesn’t hurt, just looks kind of ugly."
"Did you drive here?" Gu Yao tilted her head to glance at the car behind him.
"Yeah." Ais nodded.
"Then let’s go."
Ais was montarily stunned, as if he was dazed by happiness.
After coming to his senses, he imdiately turned to open the car door but instinctively opened the passenger door.
After so thought, he closed the door and instead opened the back door.
This gentlemanly gesture of Ais made people feel very comfortable.
Gu Yao smiled without saying anything and directly got into the car.
Ais closed the door for her properly, then got into the car himself.
Gu Yao, who wasn’t good at interacting with people, didn’t actively seek topics, only gazed out the window in a daze.
Yet Ais was the opposite of her, always able to find interesting topics and things to make her laugh, gradually making the usually quiet Gu Yao talk more and even start initiating conversations.
After spending more ti with Ais, Gu Yao realized he was an especially lively, chatty, and humorous big boy, making her forget how she used to see him at first.
For so reason, this side of him made Gu Yao instinctively want to get close, always seeing a familiar shadow in him.
This feeling was like finding the person who appeared in her dreams many tis.
It was the sa restaurant as before, at the sa spot by the window, and when all the dishes were served, Gu Yao noticed that four of the dishes ordered by Ais were ones she had picked last ti.
He actually rembered what dishes she had ordered last ti.
"Didn’t expect the restaurant owner to be willing to serve us," Gu Yao joked.
"Opening a business, you need so guts," Ais joked along.
While eating and chatting, the atmosphere was very relaxed and joyful.
Throughout the process, Ais gave off a very comfortable and easy-going feeling, with occasional humor and jokes, but he never forgot the gentlemanly behavior he should have, always considering others’ feelings.
This al was completed quite smoothly, without anyone coming to disrupt or sabotage.
After the al, Ais asked Gu Yao for her phone number, which she generously gave.
In the days that followed, their contact on the phone never ceased. Ais could always find things to chat with Gu Yao about, mostly discussing paintings, and often calling her "master."
Every few days, he would ask her out, taking her to eat and play.
But he didn’t take her to the cinema or any places filled with romantic atmosphere like a story, instead choosing amusent parks where there were lots of kids and couples.
