The words were addressed to Gu Yao, but Gu Li was looking at Gu Sheng.
It was clear he was seeking Gu Sheng’s consent.
Gu Li knew it was impossible to have Gu Yao follow Gu Sheng away at the mont. He had to stabilize their emotions first and discuss returning to the United Kingdom after their relationship had eased up a bit.
Likewise, Gu Yao was watching Gu Sheng, hoping he would nod and agree.
But after three minutes had passed, Gu Sheng hadn’t even turned his head. Obviously, he was unwilling to return to the Gu Family and just wanted to go back to the United Kingdom.
"Asheng?" Helplessly, Gu Li could only try to communicate and negotiate.
"Let’s go ho first, Yaoyao is hungry."

Gu Sheng still remained unmoved.
Gu Li was at a loss. He looked at Gu Yao, and although he didn’t say anything, his eyes clearly conveyed that he wanted Gu Yao to compromise and leave with Gu Sheng.
But how could Gu Yao possibly compromise, so they remained in a deadlock.
As ti ticked away, the room grew eerily quiet. Even the nurse coming in to change the IV felt uneasy in the atmosphere.
So much so that the two handso guys didn’t dare to look twice.
"You can leave once these two bottles of dicine are finished," the nurse said and then left.
After the nurse left, the room remained as silent as before. For as long as Gu Yao was on her drip, she kept her eyes on Gu Sheng, and Gu Sheng continued sitting there.
Neither of them willing to back down, neither willing to compromise.
"Asheng, our eldest brother is getting married early next month. How about attending the wedding before going back to the United Kingdom?" Gu Li spoke with a smile. A wedding should be a joyful occasion, yet from his eyes, all one could see was the helplessness of bowing to reality.
"Getting married?" Gu Yao looked at Gu Li, sowhat surprised.
Gu Sheng also turned his head to look at Gu Li, similarly surprised.
"Yes, marriage, with the Lin Family’s daughter." Gu Li tried hard to feign happiness, but for him, it truly felt forced.
"Why so sudden?" Gu Yao asked.
"Sudden? Not really. We originally planned to inform you both about these days. Our elder brother isn’t young anymore; it’s ti to settle down."
Gu Yao wanted to ask more about the Lin Family’s daughter, curious if the girl Gu Li previously ntioned as his favorite was indeed the daughter from the Lin Family. But she wasn’t in the mood now; seeing Gu Li’s eyes lacking happiness and filled with helplessness, she couldn’t utter a single blessing.
Perhaps that Lin Family daughter was never our elder brother’s intended. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have said before that liking soone doesn’t necessarily an you have to be with them.
Though extrely reluctant, Gu Sheng compromised and took Gu Yao, following Gu Li back ho.
Because he couldn’t take Gu Yao away now, forcing her would only hurt her.
Gu Family—
"What?! You agreed to marry the Lin Family’s daughter?" Mrs. Gu looked at Gu Li incredulously, and after her initial shock, her heart was filled with joy.
"Yes, it’ll be next month. Mom, could you pick a good day and then inform everyone?" Gu Li nodded slightly. Although a smile hung on his face, it was undeniably forced.
"Sure, sure, sure. Mom will pick a day right away." Mrs. Gu was so pleased that she nearly lost her sense of direction, hardly noticing Gu Li’s expression at the mont.
"Alright, I’m leaving now." No extra words were exchanged, as if this matter was only an outsider to him.
"Then tomorrow or the day after, I’ll arrange a eting with the Lin Family. We’ll have a al with them, and you can et the girl, then discuss the wedding plans."
