Wen Xiao’ai doesn’t answer, so Xiaocha can only put the phone to her ear and tell Jun Moyan that Wen Xiao’ai is listening.

"Xiao’ai? What happened? Why are you crying?" Jun Moyan’s voice ca from the receiver, sounding like gentle coaxing but carrying a hint of nervousness and concern, with their footsteps clearly audible.

"Xiao’ai? Say sothing."

Not getting a response from Wen Xiao’ai, Jun Moyan felt his heart tighten, unwilling to think of the worst.

He knew Wen Xiao’ai’s character very well, there was nothing she was afraid of, how could she cry so easily? Sothing must have happened.

"... Jun Moyan, co back..."

Wen Xiao’ai’s voice, carrying a crying tone, sounded, full of grievance.

"Okay, I’ll be right back, don’t cry."

Finally hearing Wen Xiao’ai’s voice, Jun Moyan felt relieved a lot, left the jewelry mall in a hurry, and rushed to Wu Garden.

"Did sothing happen? Why are you crying? Is it because you’re not feeling well?"

"No, co back quickly..."

"Okay."

After hanging up, Xiaocha ran to the room to get Wen Xiao’ai’s shoes and helped her put them on.

"Miss Wen, Third Young Master will be back soon, don’t cry anymore, he’ll be heartbroken later."

"Mm..."

Wen Xiao’ai responded, continued to lie on the table, and felt a bit sleepy again. She closed her eyes, wanting to take a nap, hoping to feel better after waking up.

"Do you want to eat sothing first? Or should I bring so food up, you haven’t had breakfast yet."

She thought Wen Xiao’ai was still sleeping, but unexpectedly found her crying in the study.

Wen Xiao’ai didn’t respond, not knowing how long it had been, maybe just a few minutes, yet it seed like a few hours, she heard Jun Moyan’s voice and felt him touching her head.

"Xiaoguai?"

Wen Xiao’ai opened her eyes, and sure enough, saw Jun Moyan’s worried face.

"Jun Moyan..."

Wen Xiao’ai sat up, reached out to hug Jun Moyan, her sowhat cold face pressed against his neck, finally not feeling so miserable.

Jun Moyan bent down, letting her hug him, his large hand gently stroked her back like comforting a child, softly asking, "What’s wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Are you feeling unwell? Did you dirty your pants and don’t know how to clean them?"

If only he had gone shopping in the afternoon, knowing well that Xiaoguai needed care during her period, especially when she wakes in the morning, yet he left.

"... No."

"Did you wake up this morning and not see , so you felt unhappy?"

"No."

"Then what’s wrong? Tell ." He asked patiently, even as he felt anxious inside.

"I feel upset and just want to cry," Wen Xiao’ai said sullenly.

Could Xiaoguai be rembering what day it is today and feeling hosick?

Or maybe she thinks he forgot the day, and feels aggrieved?

Or perhaps both?

"... I had a dream."

"Was it a nightmare?"

"... Mm."

"With here, don’t be afraid."

It definitely wasn’t a nightmare; she wouldn’t be scared and cried by one. She must have dreamt about her family, but doesn’t want to tell him.

After comforting Wen Xiao’ai for a while and seeing her emotions stabilize, Jun Moyan took her back to the room to change her sanitary pad, helped her wash up, and then went downstairs to eat.

After eating, Jun Moyan rarely put on the animation that she liked watching, yet no matter how intense the fight scenes were, they couldn’t arouse Wen Xiao’ai’s interest; she kept zoning out, making it more like Wen Xiao’ai was accompanying him to watch.

"Are you feeling sleepy?"
