The doctor’s fingers pressed lightly on the swelling, imdiately causing Jesse to howl and curse.
"For God’s sake, go easy, it hurts like hell, ah..."
The doctor seed already accustod to Jesse’s nasty yells and paid no attention to his curses.
After all, his cousin was the director, though the cousin didn’t really care about him, contrary to Jesse’s bragging about their fantastic relationship. Whenever he got into trouble, family mbers would shalessly plead with the director for help. While many people showed so restraint because of his cousin, having a relative in the bureaucracy ant even distant relatives could act a bit cocky.
The doctor said nothing, took so dicinal wine, and started applying it on Jesse, speaking to Jesse’s few followers while doing so.
"I think your situation is serious; you should go to a major hospital."
Honestly, he’d rather have no patients than treat these people.
He knew exactly who these people were—bullies who dared to commit any dirty deeds.

"You have fractured bones, possibly shattered ones. My small clinic can’t treat that; it’s serious enough for surgeries in a major hospital."
Nobody understood these people’s financial situation better than the doctor.
Judging by their nature, even if they had money, they wouldn’t spend it on treatnt.
Hearing that the condition was so serious, they exchanged glances, then all quite naturally turned to look at Jesse.
After a round of eye contact, one of them, braver than the rest, looked at Jesse, hesitated, and finally spoke up:
"Hey, Jesse, given our situation, don’t you think... maybe the dical fees could be reimbursed by that guy?"
"Yeah, Jesse, he never said the girl was a trained fighter, right? Everyone’s so badly hurt. He has to share the responsibility," the others quickly agreed.
With such nudging, Jesse thought it was a good opportunity to ask for more money; couldn’t just take the beating for nothing.
"I’ll call him for money soon; if he doesn’t cough up tens of thousands for dical fees, this matter won’t be settled."

Jesse’s followers’ eyes lit up imdiately.
"Jesse, considering he paid you before, could you spare a little for the brothers to check their injuries? The pain’s unbearable."
"Yeah, Jesse, I feel my leg is going to be ruined."
Jesse, annoyed, directly took out his phone and made a transfer.
"Only five thousand; that’s all you get. Split it yourselves."
"Five thousand? But there are five of us, Jesse! Besides, that’s a major hospital; if surgery is needed, won’t each cost at least twenty or thirty thousand?"
Five thousand? What can five thousand treat at a major hospital, let alone for five people?
"Not my damn problem. It’s your fault you’re so useless, couldn’t even handle a little girl, and now have the audacity to ask for money." Jesse snapped impatiently.
