"Jun Wuyang died in his military barracks, and the Jun Family blad him, saying it was Shangguan Yu who should bear the greatest responsibility. They also said Jun Wuyang’s death was closely related to him and that Shangguan Yu intentionally caused Jun Wuyang’s death to help Jun Moyan. Shangguan Yu was suspended and detained this morning; Jun Qing intends to sue him in military court,"

Gu Yao, though anxious, spoke clearly about what needed to be said.

"Don’t worry for now."

"Big brother, please help him, I beg you," Gu Yao clutched at Gu Li’s hand fearfully, tears swirling in her eyes.

He loved his identity as a soldier so much, he couldn’t lose his career over this.

"Yaoyao, don’t panic; I’ll go check out the situation," Gu Li hastily soothed Gu Yao.

Even if Gu Yao had not co to him, given Jun Moyan and Shangguan Yu’s relationship, he couldn’t just sit back and do nothing.

Aside from those connections, he actually liked Shangguan Yu quite a bit, finding him to be genuine and unpretentious. He was also very respectful towards him when with Yaoyao.

Had it not been for Asheng, Shangguan Yu would have already beco his brother-in-law.

"Big brother, you must help him," Gu Yao was truly anxious.

After all, it wasn’t just anyone who had died; it was Jun Wuyang.

No matter whether his death had anything to do with Shangguan Yu, he died in Shangguan Yu’s place, and the Jun Family would certainly not let the matter rest.

"Don’t worry, I’ll check out the situation," Gu Li comforted Gu Yao again and didn’t delay any longer in leaving the house.

Upon exiting the room, however, he saw Gu Sheng had not gone, but instead stood outside in the corridor, his face gloomy.

Gu Li could tell by his expression that Gu Sheng had heard everything Gu Yao had said.

Gu Li, afraid that Gu Sheng might fly into a rage and do sothing to scare Gu Yao, imdiately dragged him along as he left.

Even as they stepped out of the villa’s main gate, Gu Li didn’t let go of him.

"Don’t act rashly."

While pulling him along to continue moving away, Gu Li kept advising him.

"What have I done?" Gu Sheng asked in a cold voice, his face expressionless.

Seeing his deanor, Gu Li sighed helplessly, "I need to go out for a while, and whether you stay ho or go out to have fun, just don’t go looking for Yaoyao."

"She is mine; why can’t I look for her?" Gu Sheng’s voice was faint, betraying no emotion, yet Gu Li knew that he was seething with anger, even harboring murderous thoughts.

"I don’t have ti to discuss this with you right now, and I don’t want to. Yaoyao is in a bad mood; don’t scare her."

"So even you think that my re presence is a harm to her," Gu Sheng looked at Gu Li, the emotions in his eyes sowhat indecipherable.

Looking at Gu Sheng like this, Gu Li felt a mix of heartache and helplessness. He wasn’t sure what to say and in the end, just patted his shoulder, almost pleadingly saying,

"Behave."

After saying this, he turned and left.

Gu Sheng stood in place, glanced back at the second floor of the villa, at the room where Gu Yao was, lowered his gaze, and then also left.

"No, I must go find Jun Moyan; he will surely have a way,"

Gu Yao felt uneasy, knowing that a situation like this would be better resolved with the kind of power Jun Moyan’s status afforded.

Gu Yao left the Gu Family and headed straight for Wu Garden.

The guards, being observant, recognized Gu Yao as the third young miss of the Gu Family. Knowing that the Jun Family and Gu Family were close allies, and seeing that she was there to find Jun Moyan, they let her in.

As soon as Gu Yao entered the villa, seeing Wen Xiao’ai on the sofa, hugging a cushion, drowsy in her loungewear, she was imdiately taken aback.
