"I an, you guys are really all so weird one after another," he said.
"One likes soone yet doesn’t say it, but follows them around like a creep, overly controlling like a mother hen."
"The other pretends not to like soone but even controls who their friends are. Are you afraid of Gu Sheng, or is Gu Sheng afraid of you?! Hey, why don’t you and Gu Sheng just beco a couple? I think you two would be perfect to spend your lives together, and then Gu Yao would be mine," Ais thought this was a great idea.
Unable to bear it any longer, Shangguan Yu turned around, his eyes blazing with uncontrollable rage at the disrespect coming from Ais.
He wished he could tear his mouth apart.
"What are you looking at, did I say sothing wrong? You think you’re doing this for Gu Yao’s sake, but has she been happy because of it?"
"You can’t provide her happiness yourself, yet you don’t allow others to give it either; I feel like both you and Gu Sheng have so psychological issues."
"Just how much have you investigated her?! What exactly are your intentions in getting close to her?"
"Intentions? To learn painting, is that not allowed?" Ais said, twirling a paintbrush in his hand.
"If Gu Yao suffers even the slightest harm, I won’t let you off," Shangguan Yu spat out these words and turned to leave.
Ais shrugged indifferently, apparently unaffected by Shangguan Yu’s threat, and continued to admire his painting.
However, after a few seconds, Ais suddenly reached out, ripped the painting off the easel, crumpled it into a ball, and threw it on the beach, before turning to leave as well.
Two minutes later, Ais ca back.
Looking at the ball of paper being blown about the beach by the sea breeze, he bent down, picked it up, and unfolded it again.
"I spent the whole afternoon painting this; why should I throw it away."
Ais muttered to himself and then left with the painting.

The car drove through the Gu Family’s gate and finally ca to a jarring stop; Gu Yao, unsettled, sat on the front seat, her legs still unresponsive.
Gu Sheng turned his head, looking at Gu Yao, whose face had turned pale, his grip on the steering wheel tightening inch by inch, the veins on the back of his hands bulging, sowhat frightening.
The way Gu Sheng looked at Gu Yao slowly changed from possessive to hateful.
"To be frightened like this, how could you have had the heart to attempt suicide before?!"
Gu Sheng’s mood suddenly grew agitated.
He withdrew his gaze, opened the car door, got out, and slamd the door harshly, walking away directly.
Leaving Gu Yao still not recovered, her fear yet to dissipate.
Gu Yao sat in the car for quite a while before she began to regain her composure.
Then she opened the car door and got out.
Yet her legs were still weak, and she walked unsteadily.
Gu Yao returned to her residence.
The maid who had always looked after her saw her return, seeming to have sothing to tell her, but hesitated. Seeing that Gu Yao looked distressed, she finally chose not to speak.
Gu Yao did not notice the maid’s expression and supported herself up the stairs, locking herself in her room, collapsing sowhat disheveled on the floor.
A flood of grievances and helplessness assaulted her from all sides, making Gu Yao—who was still engulfed in fear—suddenly tear up, and tears began to flow.
As the first tear fell, the ones that followed were completely uncontrollable.
Gu Yao’s emotions beca more and more uncontrollable.
Already oppressed because of the thing with Shangguan Yu, she had been wanting to cry out loud, but had been holding it back all this while.
This incident pushed all of Gu Yao’s negative emotions to the brink; she could no longer control herself and finally broke down, crying loudly.
The desperate sound of crying was heart-wrenching, making one’s own heart tighten.
It makes one wonder what she had experienced to cry in such a way...
