"Don’t worry, the renowned doctor has already been found," Uncle Ming discerned Bai Tang’s thoughts with a glance.

"Found?"

Bai Tang took another look at Qing Yi and the Drunkard, indicating that he hadn’t seen the so-called renowned doctor.

The dical kit was in sight, though.

"Where is he? Do we need to bring the patient to him?" Bai Tang frowned and thought to himself that this doctor certainly acted high and mighty.

However, he was already extrely grateful that the doctor was willing to help.

"This is him," knowing Bai Tang would ask this, Uncle Ming introduced the Drunkard to him.

He thought it was no wonder Bai Tang didn’t believe it; the doctor was indeed very young, so young that he had his own doubts.

"Him?"

Bai Tang’s skeptical gaze swept over the unreliable face of the Drunkard, and his brows furrowed tighter as his expression grew darker.

He felt that he and Uncle Ming might have been deceived by Shangguan Yu.

"Uncle Ming, were you tricked by that man surnad Jun?"

"Atang, show so respect," Uncle Ming chided him sternly.

"But he..."

"Mr. Bai, mind your attitude." Qing Yi was quite unhappy with Bai Tang’s questioning gaze and tone.

Had he forgotten that they were the ones needing help from the Drunkard?

The Drunkard, for his part, seed unconcerned.

"Uh, if you’re done talking, could you let take a look at the patient? When I’m done, I still need to have breakfast with Qing Yi," he was getting sowhat hungry.

"I apologize, Atang is just anxious and has spoken out of turn to the renowned doctor. I hope you don’t mind, please," Uncle Ming apologized to the Drunkard with a serious face, then gestured for him to proceed.

But Bai Tang was still blocking the bedside, not allowing the Drunkard to get close.

"Atang, move aside."

"Uncle Ming, he..."

He couldn’t risk his grandfather’s life on a joke; this person just didn’t seem like any kind of renowned doctor.

"Step aside first, let him take a look," Uncle Ming insisted.

"..." Although Bai Tang was unwilling, he had to comply with Uncle Ming’s words. After all, the man was only going to examine the patient, and whether or not he was a renowned doctor would be clear soon enough.

Bai Tang stepped aside, and the Drunkard sat beside the bed, took Bai Senior’s pulse, and then examined his condition.

Uncle Ming had already inford him about Bai Senior’s condition during the carriage ride.

After the Bai Family had rejected Baiming Sect, Bai Senior was the target of an assassination attempt during the night.

He was shot in the shoulder, which was not fatal, but the bullet was poisoned.

Although a doctor had already treated the wound earlier, they were unable to cure the poison.

The poison had been in his system for three days, already beginning to spread throughout his body.

He had already gone blind, and his hearing was probably gone too; next would be loss of sll, then taste... eventually, all of his senses and organs would fail one by one.

Within seven days, he would undoubtedly be in a coffin.

The Baiming Sect had used this thod, naturally waiting for the Bai Family to beco desperate, and ultimately have no choice but to compromise and exchange for an antidote.

"How is it?"

Seeing the Drunkard say nothing, Uncle Ming couldn’t help but ask.

"Hmm..." The Drunkard seed absorbed with his thoughts, and didn’t imdiately respond to Uncle Ming.

Seeing his reaction, Bai Tang grew even less hopeful.

"Is it very difficult?" Qing Yi was seeing the Drunkard in difficulty for the first ti.

But Qing Yi didn’t know that the Drunkard wasn’t really thinking about Bai Senior at all; his difficulty was not entirely about Bai Senior’s condition.

Just as Bai Tang was losing patience and preparing to send him away, the Drunkard suddenly said, "I’m not certain."

"Does that an there’s still hope for a cure?" Uncle Ming and Bai Tang felt a surge of joy upon hearing this.

"About a fifty percent chance," the Drunkard stood up, and spotting a fruit plate on the side table, walked over and picked up two apples.
