In the hall, whoever it was, they all greeted the newcor.
The middle-aged man responded briefly, but he didn’t stop walking, heading straight for Shangguan Yu and the others, not having much ti for pleasantries with the other guests.
As the man approached, Shangguan Yu called out, "Dad."
"Hmm."
"Uncle, hello." Jun Moyan also followed with a greeting.
"Moyan, your arrival is tily, I just have sothing to discuss with you," Shangguan Qingmu said.
"You have sothing to discuss with ?"
"It’s about the Baiming Sect, let’s talk in the study."
"Has the Baiming Sect caused trouble again?" Shangguan Yu asked.
"When do they not cause trouble?" When it ca to the Baiming Sect, Shangguan Qingmu’s eyes blazed with righteous hatred; he wished he could eradicate them once and for all.
"But asking Jun Moyan won’t reveal much, he isn’t familiar with the Baiming Sect."
Shangguan Qingmu didn’t reply to Shangguan Yu but turned to Jun Moyan, "Let’s go to my study."
Jun Moyan didn’t answer right away and instead looked towards Wen Xiao’ai who was curiously watching them.
"Go on, you go with my dad to the study. Little sister, I’ll take care of her and make sure she’s well-fed," Shangguan Yu said.
Thinking that this girl really could eat a lot.
If it were him, he would have gotten sick of so many sweets after just a little bit.
"Little sister?" Jun Moyan was sowhat taken aback.
Shangguan Qingmu glanced at Wen Xiao’ai eating beside them.
He thought: This girl really does look good.
"Ah, it’s a matter of ti, I understand, I understand, go upstairs," he said.
Jun Moyan gave him a look, thinking: Can’t this guy have any decent thoughts in his head?
What are they even talking about, Xiaoguai was his pet, and even though it had transford into a person now, he was still the one who raised it.
He really didn’t know what Shangguan Yu was thinking.
"Xiao’ai, you stay here and wait for like a good girl; I’ll be gone for a little while," he told her.
"Oh, okay," Wen Xiao’ai obediently nodded her head.
Once Jun Moyan and Shangguan Qingmu went upstairs, Shangguan Yu looked at Wen Xiao’ai with a grin, "Little sister, so the house is really out of cats now?"
"Who’s your sister?" Wen Xiao’ai shot him a glance.
She was very opposed to suddenly having an extra brother.
"It’s ’little sister,’ not just ’sister,’" Shangguan Yu thought Wen Xiao’ai had missed a word.
"Is it a little brother or a sister, in the end?"
"..." Shangguan Yu blinked.
Was she deliberately playing dumb, or did she really not understand what he ant?
"Never mind, that’s not important. But, do you have any cats at ho? Like Xiaoguai?" he asked.
"No."
"Really none?"
"Really none, just the one," she insisted.
"Alright then," Shangguan Yu said sowhat deflated but still not quite willing to let it go.
"Little sister, now that you have Jun Moyan and Jun Moyan has you, they say lovers only have eyes for each other; you definitely won’t be able to take care of Xiaoguai. How about letting take care of it instead?" he suggested.
"Who says we can’t take care of Xiaoguai? Jun Moyan takes really good care of it, even better than he takes care of himself," Wen Xiao’ai said sowhat proudly.
"But..."
"No buts, Xiaoguai is Jun Moyan’s, and he’s not giving it to anyone. Stop thinking about it," she declared.
"Okay, okay," Shangguan Yu waved his hand dismissively.
"By the way, are you mixed-blood?" he inquired.
"Mixed-blood? What’s that?" Wen Xiao’ai wondered: is that sothing delicious?
"..." Shangguan Yu suddenly lost interest. "Alright, if you find annoying and don’t want to deal with , then I won’t ask anymore," he said.
"But you can always tell how far you and Jun Moyan have progressed, right?" Shangguan Yu asked with a gossip-hungry look.
He thought that he hadn’t misheard the other day; the voice he heard on the phone really was a girl’s.
"What progress?" she asked.
