anwhile

Ais watched as a man in a mask and black robe was healing Jun Moyan, his mind filled with questions.

Why are there two of them?

Though he didn’t understand the situation, and didn’t know who was real and who was fake, both had co to rescue them.

After taking the dicine given by the first person, Ais’s condition was quickly improving. Apart from the pain in his body, he was fine.

But Jun Moyan’s situation was not good.

It took Nie Jiuque a full two hours before he stopped, fed a comatose Jun Moyan an elixir, and then began to regulate his own breathing.

Ais quietly waited by the side, taking care of Jun Moyan.

"Xiaoguai..."

"Xiaoguai..."

"What are you saying?"

Ais leaned in closer to Jun Moyan’s lips to listen to his murmurs in his sleep.

"Xiaoguai..."

"Xiaoguai? Who is that?"

"Hey, Jun, wake up if you’re still alive."

Ais, seeing that he couldn’t wake him up, directly slapped Jun Moyan’s face a few tis.

He actually managed to wake him up.

Jun Moyan frowned and slowly woke up.

One side of his pale face was reddened by Ais’s slaps.

"How are you?"

Seeing Jun Moyan wake up, Ais breathed a sigh of relief.

"Xiaoguai..."

"It’s , Ais, clear your eyes." Ais replied irritably, still wanting to smack him a couple more tis to clear his head.

After a mont of blurriness in front of his eyes, Jun Moyan gradually beca clear: "Ais..."

"Get up." Ais helped him sit up.

Just after sitting up, before he was stable, Jun Moyan noticed Nie Jiuque ditating nearby, and his heart was suddenly moved, waking him up completely.

He grabbed Nie Jiuque’s arm excitedly and asked:

"...where is Xiaoguai?"

The latter opened his eyes, exhaled a breath of stale air, and then turned his head to look at him.

Facing this pair of eyes at such a close distance again, Jun Moyan still felt they were familiar.

But the gaze was very unfamiliar.

However, right now he had no interest in knowing who this person was; he was rely eager to know what had happened to Wen Xiao’ai.

"Where is Xiao’ai? Why did the Demon Clan capture Xiao’ai?"

Nie Jiuque stared coldly at him, his eyes showing obvious hostility.

"Let go."

Ais found it odd; why did Nie Jiuque have such hostility towards Jun Moyan yet choose to save him?

"I’m asking you where is Xiao’ai? What are you trying to do? Isn’t your target ? Why did you capture Xiao’ai?!"

Jun Moyan’s eyes were bloodshot, his grip tightening around Nie Jiuque’s arm as his emotions fluctuated.

Nie Jiuque coldly retorted:

"If I don’t take her away, should I really let her marry Ye Qi and beco Lady Ye?"

Jun Moyan was taken aback, not expecting that Nie Jiuque had taken Xiao’ai away for this reason.

"Where is she now? What have you done to her?"

"She’s very safe." Nie Jiuque replied with a poor tone and withdrew his gaze, no longer looking at him.

When rivals et, he naturally found Jun Moyan extrely unlikable.

Upon hearing this, Jun Moyan cald down significantly.

It wasn’t that he trusted Nie Jiuque; rather, he knew that Nie Jiuque had other intentions for Wen Xiao’ai and wouldn’t harm her.

"Why are you doing this? What is your motive?"

Just now, General Wu said that the Demon Clan made a huge move to take Xiao’ai.

"When has this lord ever needed to explain my actions to you?"

Nie Jiuque’s tone was disdainful, with a hint of impatience.

"I want to see Xiao’ai."

It was not a tone for negotiation.

"Hmph." Nie Jiuque snorted coldly.

"I want to see Xiao’ai!"

Jun Moyan repeated, his tone growing heavier.
