She had to hurry and find that human, who had a strange energy about him. Although she didn't know what it was, it could heal her wounds and, presumably, repair her inner core.

But his energy was too weak, and repairing the inner core might take quite so ti.

Now, this was the only thod available to her.

Otherwise, in her current condition, let alone searching for the lost artifact of the Cat Clan, she would struggle even to protect herself.

She really had nothing better to do, hiding from everyone else and showing off by looking for so lost artifact. She was truly bringing it upon herself.

Well, she actually just wanted to play in the Human Realm. Finding the artifact was just a bonus.

As for ending up in her current state, it was purely accidental.

But the thought of relying on a human, Wen Xiao'ai felt utterly humiliated.

How was she to face the Cat Clan after this?

Up the stairs, a little bundle was laboriously climbing step by step...

In the room, it was pitch black.

Dressed in clean clothes, Jun Moyan stood quietly on the spacious balcony, staring into the night, slightly lost in thought.

A pair of eyes cold as a winter lake sparkled with a chill, his expression complex, his eyebrows tightly knitted.

The lit cigarette between his fingers, burned down considerably, confirming his preoccupation.

The cool moonlight spilled onto his lean face, draping his impeccably handso features with an aloofness and coldness that kept others at bay.

He raised his hand to his lips and took a puff of smoke.

The orange glow of the ember intensified with his smoking, casting a touch of wildness onto his cold features.

His thin lips parted slightly, slowly blowing out a ring of smoke. In the swirling smoke, he narrowed his eyes slightly, revealing a deep, pervasive loneliness.

Thinking of those pitiable, pleading eyes and the painful, soft wling, his mood grew a bit irritable...

"ow~"

A soft ow rang out, unlike the weak cries from before, it seed utterly exhausted, yet the volu was enough to break the tense atmosphere in the room.

Jun Moyan's body stiffened, and the hand with the cigarette trembled imperceptibly; his narrowed eyes suddenly widened.

He quickly turned around, looking towards the door.

Wen Xiao'ai lifted her fluffy little head, gazing at the slightly ajar door, nearly crying.

She had finally made it up the stairs, exhausting herself...

This was the place. That mysterious energy was in the room, and the man carrying it was inside.

Wen Xiao'ai, unable to wait any longer, stretched out her front paws and struggled to push open the partially closed door...

Completely forgetting the Clan Leader's grandmother's warning that humans were cruel and terrible, and that she should stay away from them.

Jun Moyan's eyes fixated on the door, the rustling outside, including the sound of paws on the door, all of it he heard clearly.

Watching as the door was slowly pushed open, his heart unconsciously tightened.

His usually unflappable eyes now revealed a hint of anticipation he hadn't even realized.

Could it be on the other side of the door?

As the door opened, his deep brown eyes suddenly t with a pair of cat eyes glowing blue in the pitch black night.

Just like the mont they had faced each other in the woods.

Both the man and the cat were taken aback.

The pitch-black environnt did not affect Wen Xiao'ai's vision at all, even though he stood backlit by the light, half his face cloaked in shadow,

But Jun Moyan's astonished and bewildered expression was still plain in her sight.

Wen Xiao'ai, who should have been worried about how to explain their miraculous resurrection to each other, upon seeing Jun Moyan's stunning face that could make any woman scream, completely discarded the matter,

and was instantly captivated by Jun Moyan's attractiveness, unable to extricate herself for a mont.
