Jun Moyan sat down next to him and picked up a bottle of beer from the table to drink.

"Did she go looking for you again?"

he asked.

Shangguan Yu tilted his head back and took a swig of alcohol, tears sparking in his usually carefree eyes.

With so difficulty, he responded, "... Yeah."

Jun Moyan didn’t speak, just quietly kept him company as they drank.

He was never much of a talker, let alone good at consoling others, especially when it ca to matters of the heart where he was a blank slate.

Besides, among n, comforting words were unnecessary when alcohol could do the job.

After a few beers, Shangguan Yu was already half-drunk, his face slightly flushed.

Leaning on the couch with his eyes closed, he muttered,

"Sotis, I really envy you—heartless and desireless, you don’t have so many troubles."

Jun Moyan glanced at him, hesitated as if he wanted to say sothing but eventually responded, "If only you had restrained yourself a year ago and not shown up at her birthday party, then her entanglent wouldn’t have followed, and today wouldn’t exist either. Perhaps, you would have moved on by now."

In the end, it was just self-degradation and seeking suffering.

"How could it be easy..." Shangguan Yu’s eyes filled with pain and reluctance.

After a while, Shangguan Yu spoke again, "Can I ask you a question?"

"Go ahead."

"If it were you, what would you do?" Shangguan Yu looked at him.

Jun Moyan slightly furrowed his brows, seriously thought for a mont, and then with a expressionless face said, "Kill Gu Sheng."

Shangguan Yu gave a bitter laugh upon hearing this and continued to drown himself in alcohol, not responding further.

The night deepened.

Wen Xiao’ai turned over and felt sothing was off.

Half-awake, she sat up, only to realize she was not on Jun Moyan’s body and he wasn’t beside her.

"ow~"

Where had Jun Moyan gone?

The light from the hall spilled through the crack of the door.

Wen Xiao’ai rubbed her eyes, then jumped out of bed and left the room.

Before long, she was bouncing downstairs, the chain she wore jingling...

From afar, Jun Moyan heard it.

"ow~"

Wen Xiao’ai ca to Jun Moyan’s feet, nimbly jumped onto his foot and then up to his lap.

Finally, she lay down on his firm abdon, closed her eyes, and thought about going back to sleep.

Jun Moyan stroked her little head, his tone gentle and even a bit indulgent, "You’re getting more clingy."

"ow~" Wen Xiao’ai moved her little tail and rubbed it on his abdon.

I’m not clingy, Princess, just temporarily to you.

"AD Milk, did you miss ?" Shangguan Yu reached out wanting to rub her head.

But Jun Moyan’s glance silently stopped him.

Shangguan Yu pouted and withdrew his hand.

"ow~"

No, you backstabbing nuisance, why would I miss you?

Staying up late, not sleeping, making Jun Moyan drink.

You’re disrupting our sleep, annoying.

And why aren’t you drinking AD Milk this ti, switching to alcohol?

Could it be you’ve been influenced by the drunkard too?

"What’s the matter, still holding a grudge against ?"

"ow!" Wen Xiao’ai buried her face in Jun Moyan’s chest, not wanting to deal with him.

"Don’t be mad, you’re already so small, being angry will only stunt your growth even more."

"..." Ignored.

"I ca suddenly this ti, next ti I’ll definitely bring AD Milk to make it up to you."

"..." Still ignored.

Shangguan Yu chuckled, clearly in a much better mood.

He asked Jun Moyan, "Does it actually have a na?"

"Xiaoguai," replied Jun Moyan.

"Xiaoguai?" Shangguan Yu repeated, "That na doesn’t suit it at all. I’ve never noticed it being particularly well-behaved. It might as well be called ’Sly Spirit’ instead."
