Without thinking, Ou Ye took out his phone to light the way and walked into the secret passage step by step. The secret passage was dark. If he had not brought his phone in, he would not have been able to see anything.
There was no water in the secret passage, but he could faintly hear the sound of water.
As Ou Ye walked along the passage, he was excited and nervous. He wondered what his father had prepared for him.
Finally, he saw a glimr of light. His expression was determined. This light also represented the light of hope.
Fang Duo was watering the plants on the balcony when she suddenly heard a strange noise. She frowned and thought about the rumors of haunted manors. She instantly felt a chill down her spine and walked toward the noise.
Just then, a head popped out from the flower pot.
“F*ck!” Fang Duo even copied how Ou Ye usually swore because she was really frightened. Her face was pale and so were her lips. She smashed the watering can in her hand on that figure’s head.
“Ouch!” The person cried out in pain. The voice sounded familiar, but Fang Duo couldn’t care less. She kept hitting the figure.
She didn’t know if it was a human or a ghost but the figure suddenly stood up and forcefully grabbed Fang Duo’s hand. Fang Duo’s other hand seed to have pulled sothing off. She felt that it might be a talisman used to control ghosts.
“It’s !” Ou Ye roared, pulling Fang Duo back to her senses.
Fang Duo was stunned for a mont. She looked at the face in front of her again. Then… she looked down.
“Ah——”
“Ah——”
Sheng Yang was staying next door to Ou Ye and Fang Duo, so she naturally heard the two screams. She took out her phone and searched ‘a man and a woman sharing a room, letting out screams’. When she got an answer, she nodded in satisfaction.
In the middle of the night, Sheng Tingze was still buried in his work. He was sipping on his black coffee when he heard the screams. His fingers paused for a mont. He easily recognized that it was not his sister. Hence, he continued working.
